Chapter 1 - New Arrival
“God why do you have to be such an @$!hole Jax! Leave her alone for once!” Zooble shouts at him, her voice getting louder.
“What, come on, it's funny. She’s a ribbon with a mask for godsake.” Jax laughs as he turns away.
They watch as he walks away from the group, laughing, only lightly, but still laughing. They knew he was most likely going to his room. He always did after some sort of fight. Usually it’s because his ego had been damaged in some way. Especially with Zooble. They always knew what nerve to hit to get Jax off of someone’s back.
“Recently… he’s been so much worse.” Pomni says. “You guys think he’s okay?”
“He just seems like the same old Jax to me. Maybe he has been increasing the levels he goes to recently.” Ragatha replies.
“Besides, do we really care about that jerk?” Zooble asks. “He keeps breaking Gangle’s masks purposefully.”
“He broke it again today…” Gangle says. “My comedy mask.”
Suddenly they see someone spawn on the stage, and Jax instantly comes running back after seeing the new arrival.
She is a humanoid black cat, wearing an emerald green dress, with golden eyes. She looks around in confusion. Blocks and the same red and white colour repeating throughout. It looks like the inside of a tent, but it’s massive.. There’s balconies and pipes, and furniture that she can see throughout the place.
“W-where am I?” She says, seeing the rest of them, backing away slightly. “What am I doing here, I shouldn’t be here!”
“Bet ya can’t even remember your own name, can ya?” Jax says, his yellow teeth grinning widely.
“Everyone forgets their name when they get here, ignore him, he sucks. I’m Zooble. I’m made from a mix of parts that I store in a chest in my room. Hopefully that explains my crazy appearance to you.” Zooble says. “I’ll introduce you to everyone.”
She walks down with Zooble, taking light steps, as she’s still unsure of the environment around her.
“Hi, I’m Pomni.” She greets the cat with a smile. “I’m also quite new here, I’ve only been here for a month or so. Nice to meet you.”
“Hey, I’m Ragatha, and this is Gangle.” She says.
“H-Hello.’ Gangle says.
“Don’t worry about her, she takes a while to warm up to people.” Zooble says.
Suddenly, a mouth with it’s eyes inside of it appears in front of the group.
“Oh, a new arrival, Welcome!” It shouts. “I am your Ringmaster, Caine. Now then, who was going to tell me we had a new person. Figured out a new name yet?”
“Seeing as I’m a cat… I guess Katrina works?” She says. “Look, how long exactly am I going to be here for.”
“Oh at least-” He suddenly freezes, and he glitches a little.
“His program's broken.” Jax says. “Well done, you’ve already broken something on your first day. Also, your answer is forever. You’re stuck here forever.”
“He’s not lying about that.” Ragatha says. “We’re stuck. You didn’t break the progr-”
“You’re telling me I’m gonna live here for eternity?” Katrina asks. “My family and friends are out there, how am I supposed to-”
“It’s not so bad.” Pomni says. “We do adventures that Caine builds for us, and about 80% of them have been decent enough, or better..”
“What about the other 20%?” Katrina asks.
“Y-you don’t wanna k-know…” Gangle replies.
Jax leaves again, for real this time.
“So who’s the purple jack@!$.” Katrina stops suddenly. “Sorry, is there a censor on me? S@!§. Hm.”
“Well, the purple bunny is Jax. He’s… complicated. Sometimes, something slips through that makes me think ‘How is that Jax? He doesn’t usually act like this. What’s gotten into him.’ Those are the times he’s actually somewhat nice. He doesn’t go after Gangle or Ragatha. Like I said, it’s only sometimes. But realistically, I should’ve said extremely rarely. Like once in a blue moon, sort of rare.” Zooble said.
“Then the rest of the time, he acts like that.” Pomni replies. “Going after people he thinks are easy targets. Thinking he’s the main character, and that everyone loves him.”
“Hah, sounds like my ex.” Katrina laughs. “She was… kind of crazy.”
She pauses for a minute.
“Yeah I’d rather not talk much more about her.”
No-one in the group really says anything for a few minutes.
“Y’know, I’m surprised Caine’s not stop bugging out yet because he’ll be wanting to take us on-” Ragatha is interrupted as the ringmaster unfreezes up.
“An adventure!” Caine shouts. “This might be my best work yet. Who am I kidding, all of my adventures are my best. Where’s Jax?”
“He’s in his r-room.” Gangle says.
He is suddenly spawned with the rest of the gang
“Are you kidding me, I was just getting comfortable!” Jax says.
