Summary
A quiet rain settles over Sumeru, keeping Kaveh indoors longer than he would like and pushing him straight into Alhaitham’s unbothered orbit. What starts as idle conversation on a shared divan slowly turns into something neither of them names, only lives through small, familiar habits. Between borrowed clothing, half-finished complaints, and a puzzle that turns out to be more than it seems, the afternoon stretches without urgency. Alhaitham observes in his usual calm way, saying too little or perhaps exactly enough at the wrong moments. Kaveh, for all his noise, finds himself paying attention to things he usually pretends not to notice. As the day softens into evening, their quiet games and pauses begin to feel heavier than silence alone. And when night finally settles in, neither of them seems interested in breaking it.
