Work Text:
Even after the whole Dubai disaster, he never stopped cultivating his little tree, and every year, on the anniversary of that terrible day, he sends a flower.
The blossom is too delicate to trust to the post, so he hand-delivers it wherever Louis happens to be. He never forgets to include a card with his current address. He knows his Louis will answer.
Days later, Armand receives a letter. He feels the powdery residue through the paper and kisses it before opening a small engraved box. He pours the flower's ashes atop last year’s and those before it, and smiles.
