Context: Elena and Elijah Mikealson have been married for 2 years. After Willoughby they decided to meet again Elijah confessed he knew it was Elena and they started taking again then fell in love. The salvatore brothers were happy for her as Damon had fallen in love with damon and stefan with haylay. Now one day they had been in a argument and Elena demands he sleep in the couch.
"Elena you cannot possibly still be mad about that, it's been a week!" Elena glared at her original husband before saying "oh you finally noticed you have a life outside of solving Klauses problems?"
"Elena I know I missed our anniversary dinner but Niklaus needed me" Elena now stands up from their bed and steps closer to him "I heard the story from bekah Elijah! It wasn't even a big deal. A few of his hybrids couldve clearly easily solved the problem. He didn't even call you Elijah! Gosh your just so paranoid!"
Elijah looks a bit hesitant as he steps closer to his wife and pulls her closer by her waist "Can we just sleep without doing this, please my love I know your upset and I m sorry I really am." Elena scoffs "Yea of course but you are NOT sleeping on the same bed as me. You can either sleep in this room on the couch or sleep in the guest room." Elena knew even if her husband didn't admit it he couldn't sleep without holding her not that he needed it but still. He loved waking up to her kisses. "Elena surely you do not mean that" Elijah stares at her in utter disbelief. "Oh I mean it Elijah, you missed our dang 2 year marriage anniversary dinner after literally booking the entire restaurant Yourself. There's consequences to actions now pick the couch or one of the guest rooms"
Elena now tries to push his hands off her waist to pull away but Elijah doesn't let her. His grip is tight enough to not let her go but at the same time not enough to hurt her. "Tell me what I can do to make up for it." Elena doesn't budge "Elijah go sleep will you? I'm tired" Elijah finally lets her go. "Elskede I am sincerely sorry for missing something so important, you have every right to be mad and I promise, nothing like this will ever happen again."
Elena scoffs "you say that every time you make a mistake Elijah! Your word means nothing me to me until you live up to it..remember your words not mine."
Elena points to the couch then the door waiting for him to pick. "Elena I am not going anywhere" Elena runs her hand through her hair in frustration "Fine then I'll be at one of the guest rooms"
Elena turns to leave but Elijah hugs her from behind not letting her go, he buries his face in her neck inhaling her scent then kissing her hair. "I love you elskede" Elena rolls her eyes "I know but if u think some sweet words can get you out of this you are SO wrong. Now let me go I'm sleepy." Elijah reluctantly let's her go and she is about to leave when he speeds in front of her blocking her path.
"Okay! I'll sleep on the couch. Just Don't leave" Elena gives him a look clearly judging the fact that he couldve had a big and comfortable bed but he chose the couch. Elena says "fine" then turns most of the lights off and makes her way to bed
Elena slept peacefully until 3 am when she woke up in the middle of the night to go to the washroom. She was about to go back to sleep when she noticed her husband not even laying but sitting on the sofa stealing glances at her, looking like a kicked puppy.
Elena sighs and walks over to him. "Come back to bed" and then she walks back to bed as he follows her with a smile on his face.
Elijah holds her and they both sleep very peacefully.
The Next Morning
Elijah wakes up and finds that the other side of the bed is empty, a frown forms in his face but he quickly realises she's freshening up in the bathroom with his original hearing.
Elena comes out in a white robe and goes over to the vanity, sits down and does her skin care. She can feel Elijah staring into her. After a few moments Elijah walks over to her but she ignores him.
Elijah has had enough and he picks her up bridal style ignoring her protests and places her on the bed. "Elijah what the hell do u think you're doing?" Elijah trails kisses down her neck and mumbles "Things that I have been deprived off for too long"
"Elijah" The original stops for a moment and leans up then locks eyes with his wife. Elena puts a hand on his chest "Just because I let you hold me yesterday does not mean we are fine"
Elijah sighs "It's been a week my love, I can assure you that was a pure mistake and will never happen again"
Elena scoffs "Mistake? You are too worried for klaus and your other siblings you forget you have a life too!"
Elijahs eyes soften "I am the oldest sibling Elena I have to look out for them" Elena lets out a scoff indicating defeat "And whose gonna look out for you?" Elijah goes silent for a moment knowing that his siblings would IF He ever shared his problems but he didnt.
Elena sighs at his silence and takes his face in her hands "I love you Elijah But I Really can't tell if u truly do it too" Elijah stumbles back from her embrace and replies " H-How can you say that Elena- I-I love you of course. I m sorry I haven't been giving you much time lately but Do not question My love for you."
Elena gets up from the bed and hugs him, Elijah was a bit startled at first but quickly hugged her back.
"Elijah We have been in love for years now, I know what family means to you But putting yourself first for once doesn't make you selfish!" Elijah pulls back from the hug and says with utter sadness in eyes "Does this mea-"
Elena groans "no I'm not forgiving you not yet. what's the point of doing so big gestures for you and your wife's anniversary if your not gonna damn show up"
Elijah says " I told you I am sorry and it won't happen again." Elena rolls her eyes "Your my husband for gods sake can't you try to figure out there's more to life other than your siblings redemptions with me? I know how much you love them and I admire you for it but your not alone anymore. Why can't you understand that. You married me you are stuck with me ill always be here"
Elijah chuckles "A arrangement I am more than happy to cooperate with" Elijah now speeds her to the nearest wall pinning her to it, just as he leans down to kiss her passionately Elena interrupts "I am still mad, you haven't even apologised yet" Elijah looks at her in disbelief "Haven't apolo- what? For the past week all I have been doing is apologising!"
"Mhm I must have not seen or heard it" Elijah let's out a sigh of defeat "fine I must do so now"
Then Elijah Mikealson, one of the strongest most powerful beings on earth kneels infront of his wife. "I am extremely sorry for hurting you and missing our anniversary dinner I promise I will make up for it no matter how long it takes."
Elena grins at the sight infront of her and cups his face and tells him to get up now "Fine I Forgive you but only because you gave me like a hundred gifts in the day time on our anniversary"
Elijah can't control himself any longer and he speeds her to the bed kissing anywhere on her body that he can. Elena starts unbuttoning his shirt while in a passionate kiss. Elijah let's her robe fall to the ground and they make love. After a while they are both laying on the bed breathless and Elijah looks at his wife "I know I have said this a million times already but your just so beautiful" Elena grins "your just saying that because you got lucky just now" Elijah chuckles "That I did but you are the most beautiful women I have ever met" Elena smiles and kisses him softly.
