Work Text:
You have asked out Shigaraki Tomura, the guy that would come every other night to the pizza place you worked at. At first you only exchanged polite bows, until you commented on his switch. You started spending your breaks with him, mostly in comfortable silence as you watched him play. He even offered you a few rounds. He gave you his name - Tomura, a name you would think about often. He could only respond with a quick nod to your date offer, speechless as he was, during one of your break.
You met at the entrance, both wearing casual clothes. Tomura took the time to look you up and down as he approached, admiring the new you - out of pizza place uniform.
You walked around in the tropical flowers greenhouse, the path shaded by tall trees, passing by hibiscuses, orchids, crown of thorns, and flamingo flowers, until you reach plumerias. "These are my favourite." you told him, pointing it out. He nodded, as if committing it to memory, before reaching out and touching the petals with a single finger. You look at his hand in awe, the way he is being so careful and gentle.
You have reached a clearing in the tropical garden - no trees covering the blue sky above the greenhouse's dome. It is quiet, peaceful even - not a single sound could be heard from the city.
Tomura stopped, taking in the moment as it unfolds. It is been a long time since he was in such a serene place, physically or mentally.
His head tilted upward, looking at the blue sky - also something he has not done in a long while, the sun illuminates his face.
You followed suit, taking a small step back, not looking at the sky - but at him. The way the sun illuminated his face, scars and wrinkles gleaming, beauty mark almost shining. You said nothing at first, just stare softly, without him noticing, in absolute admiration.
But then - the words "So pretty..." fell out of your mouth before your could catch them. Tomura nods, assuming you mean the sky - before looking down at you, meeting your gaze. His breath hitched in realization. He was never called pretty, mostly cursed at or ignored, but hearing that word coming from your lips? Almost made him believe it himself, or at least believe you. Eyes wide, they flickered down for a moment - feeling self-conscious under your love-stuck gaze.
"Ah, sorry... I didn't mean to say that out loud." you said quietly, still slightly dazed. Tomura shook his head, and closed the small gap between you - hand reaching to cup your cheek. He then leaned in slowly, giving you time to react before finally kissing you - for the first time.
It starts soft and testing, not rushed and full of unsaid words - 'thank you for seeing me like that, thank you for calling me pretty.'. You took a moment to collect yourself before kissing him back softly, leaning into him - standing on your tiptoes. You placed your hands on his chest, anchoring yourself against him. Tomura kissed back slower, gaining more confidence, letting his other hand slide onto your waist.
For a few moments, nothing else mattered. No destruction, no villainy. Just two people, kissing under the blue sky and in nature, enjoying their first date.
The sound of approaching footstep broke the spell, forcing him to pull away - you chased his lips for a moment before recollecting yourself, also remembering they are in a public space.
"Great local for our first kiss." you tease, a small flattery towards Tomura, eyes still dazed. A clearing like this, in a greenhouse, under the sun and blue skies? Perfect.
In response, Tomura planted a peak on your lips, before lacing your fingers together - just as the group of tourists rounds the corner.
