Peter and Bucky made a promise not to ride out storms alone anymore. So, when another one hits, Bucky waits in the middle of it for Peter to return and keep their promise.
I finally got this in a doc for posting. This was for FicWip's Server Retreat Weekend! Drabble 122, I hope you all enjoy! I've got plans to write a longer version of this one!

Bucky feels the rain before he hears thunder or sees lightning.
He stays in the storm though.
He's not going inside.
Not until Peter gets back from his patrol.
He's supposed to be here.
That was their deal.
No thunderstorm patrols.
"Let's go inside, Bucky," calls Peter as he lands.
