Chapter Text
Ollie woke up to the sound of the hotel TV playing. He heard a British man screaming at the top of his lungs about the food being rotten, or something like that.
“Uh, Kyle? What are you watching?” mumbled Ollie.
"Death’s Kitchen,” replied Kyle, “it was what I first saw when I turned on the TV."
“Why is there so much yelling?”
“The host does that a lot. Dunno if he's naturally like that or he's just putting on a show.”
Ollie looked at the clock, which was labeled 9:31 AM. That explains why he's so tired.
“9 AM? That's a little early…” Ollie said.
“So? It's just 9 o’ clock. What's so early about that?” questioned Kyle.
“What do you mean? Are you used to gettin-”
Ollie remembered something important. Kyle has been living with humans for the past 3 years. Humans tend to get up earlier than werewolves, and go to bed earlier too. It makes sense why he wouldn't see 9 AM as “early”.
“Oh, right…” said Ollie, “When did you wake up?”
“I woke up half an hour ago,” replied Kyle.
Ollie was too exhausted to get up, to the point he would rather go back to sleep. 9 AM was just not the right time to be awake for him.
“Can I stay in bed? I don't wanna get up…”
“Guess I’ll have breakfast by myself then,” said Kyle before sitting up.
Ollie heard those words come out of Kyle's mouth, which prompted him to get out of his bed and run up near his brother.
“Woah, woah, woah, wait!” Ollie panicked, “are you seriously going to eat without me?”
“J-Jeez, calm down! I wasn't being serious!" clarified Kyle.
Ollie started to calm down. He was relieved to hear that Kyle was only messing with him; it would be a bit out-of-character of his brother to straight up leave him behind.
“Ah, I get it,” said Ollie, “You were just trying to mess with me, weren't you?”
“I mean, you used to do that stuff a lot in the past, so it's only fair if I do it to you.”
“The stuff I did was just harmless pranks and jokes, not me lying about doing something!”
“What about the time you said ‘bottoms up’ before pretending to drink a bottle of rubbing alcohol?”
“Oh. Uh, yeah. I forgot I did that.”
"Seriously, I am hungry. Could we eat here? I’m pretty sure this place has a restaurant."
“Maybe. I prefer to eat out of the hotel, but we can totally eat here.”
“Hey, if you want to go somewhere else we can. You came up with this idea, didn't you?”
“Nah, I’m fine eating here. Besides, I wanna know what their food tastes like,”
“All right…”
"Lemme get ready first, though."
“I’ll take a leak while you do that.”
As Kyle heads to the bathroom, Ollie gets ready as he puts on his pants and shoes. He then brushes his hair and puts it in a low ponytail, and sprays himself with cologne.
“Dressed up, and ready to go!” Ollie said with confidence.
Not long after Kyle exits the bathroom and notices that the room smells a little woody, only to realize the smell is coming from Ollie.
“Ollie, did you put on cologne?” Kyle questioned.
“Yeah, I did,” answered Ollie, “is there a problem with that?”
“No, it's just the scent that caught my attention. That's all,” Kyle said before clearing his throat, “so, do you wanna go eat?”
“Of course! I can't wait to order a horse!”
"Haha, Then c'mon, let's go."
Kyle and Ollie left their room, heading their way down to the hotel restaurant.
"Gotta admit, you saying you would eat without me woke me up," said Ollie.
"Is that a good thing or a bad thing?"
