Help. I (19M) am in love with my shizun (29M) but I'm not sure if he likes me back or if I'm just being delusional? What should I do?
Throwaway because some of my sect brothers use this forum. Basically, I (19M) have known my shizun (29M) for years. He's very beautiful. Like objectively beautiful and everyone says so. Men, women, old people, children, demons, etc. He’s the most beautiful, elegant, kind, innocent, and pure person I know in all three realms. His hair is like a waterfall of ink and his eyes are like stars reflected in a frozen lake. When he gets angry, his ears turn pink and it really is the most adorable thing I've ever seen. Anyway that's not relevant.
The problem is... I can’t stop thinking about him. My pure and impure thoughts about him alike keep me up all night cultivating inner demons instead of spiritual energy.
I keep telling myself to respect him and to cherish him because he’s so innocent, he probably doesn’t even know what arousal is. Meanwhile, I look at the way his robes drape over his shoulders and I lose my entire mind.
Sometimes I think he likes me back? For example: He risked his life to save me, he worries about me all the time, he remembers things I told him years ago. He made me food after beating me. He also carried me when I was injured, he looks at me strangely when he thinks I don't notice, he once smiled at me and I almost ascended on the spot. But then other times he hits me with a ruler and calls me an insolent beast, so... mixed signals??? But maybe that's just normal master-disciple behavior?
What do I do?? Do I confess? Do I bury these feelings forever or do I self-flagellate with willow branches? Please help.
EDIT: I forgot to mention he has the smallest waist I’ve ever seen in my entire life. Just thought you should know.

Look, OP. I know exactly how you feel. My Shizun? Gorgeous. Cold on the outside, warm on the inside. I spent YEARS convinced I was going to hell for thinking about him the way I did. And then guess what? He liked me back and we’re married now. It’s fine. Just confess.
Worst case, he hits you with a ruler. Best case, you get a husband. The math is simple.

Young one. I understand your pain more than you know. To love someone you cannot have and to watch them from a distance, pure and untouchable, while your own heart burns with desire. I have lived that agony for years.
My advice? Do not confess yet. You should first become worthy of him. Then, when you are strong enough to protect him from all harm, lay your heart at his feet.
And if he rejects you... well. There are other ways.

Update from u/ilovemyshizun (6 hours later)
I took everyone's advice and went to talk to him.
He was in his study, reading. The moonlight spilled through the window and rested upon his face as though even the heavens wished to admire him. The silver glow softened the sharpness of his features, he looked so unreal and divine. No, perhaps divine is the wrong word bcs Gods are flawed and my shizun isn't. He looked as though he had been carved from moonlight itself. As though a celestial artisan had spent centuries crafting perfection. His hair flowed over his shoulders like black silk—um anyway.
He looked up at me and asked, “What do you want now?”
And I just... I couldn’t help it. I kissed him.
And so he slapped me really hard.
But then he kissed me back.
So I think... I think it went well???
He’s currently yelling at me that he’s going to expel me from the sect. But his ears are pink so I’m choosing to take that as a good sign.
Thank you for all the advices, I’ll update again if I survive the night.
