Sausage's evil king and father tracks him down to the empires, and finds out that there's a whole lot more magic for him to steal.
The evil king's method of stealing the very magic out of someone will kill them if they're born with the magic. Thankfully, Shelby is safe because she became a witch after being hit by lightning, which is also the same way her grandma became a witch.
But Lizzie isn't. She's got leftover corruption in her veins from when her jungle cat ancestors were corrupted by Xornoth. It's why Lizzie's able to cast nekomancy, the black magic practiced by cats. It makes her susceptible.
Pix has some strange magic inside of him, which is why he's capable of seeing the sculk corruption even through blocks while the other members couldn't, which means he's also a potential victim for the evil king.
Joel has magic too, but he's literally the god of the sky. He might be too powerful for the evil king to absorb magic from... unless he's already reached a similar level of power by draining so many other people's magic.
Gem is some kind of celestial entity that can teleport through dimensions and follows the same rules as Joel. But if the evil king steals her power... well, that means there's a whole lot more worlds for him to conquer.
Katherine has a weird situation where she does have magic in her, but it's only because she's cursed. If the evil king is ever tricked into absorbing her magic, Katherine will be finally uncursed and the king will be weakened, killing two birds with one stone.
The old man who gave Scott his yellow eye works for the evil king. The skull he took is an ancient artifact that may be very useful to the king's endeavors, and Scott's yellow eye is very good for finding strong targets to kidnap. So they take the colorful emperor first. The others come later.
And if Scott doesn't want to help? Good thing the king knows some very persuasive torture methods.
Sausage never wanted his friends to be caught up in his mess. With the help of Bubbles and Eddie and Maria, he's going to take his evil dad down. No matter the cost.
