This is literally just based on the dorcelessness mask cameo in Gangle's room.
Dorcelessness means a feeling of being unwanted, and the other circus members don't know about Gangle's third mask.
After another of Caine's adventures wherein Gangle doesn't help anyone, Jax makes the mistake of telling Gangle she's unwanted.
Zooble of course tries to cheer her up, but Caine teleports her away for whatever reason and everyone else leaves Gangle alone.
Gangle loses her comedy mask as she starts crying, but then suddenly her tragedy mask starts breaking too.
Ragatha later goes to check on Gangle only to find her acting like a horror movie antagonist and wearing the creepy dorcelessness mask. Ragatha runs back to the group in a panic and Kinger is exceptionally alarmed because this happened before while he was the only one of the current cast to be in the circus.
Yes, I know that Gangle wasn't at the circus at the same time Kinger was and that Ragatha was actually the second oldest one, but let's fudge the timeline a bit for the sake of the story, shall we?
But anyway, last time Gangle was like this, some of the other circus members at the time disappeared and not even Caine could find them again.
Everyone panics and starts running as Gangle shows up, but she can stretch her ribbons to trip up and ensnare them. Thankfully Jax has a pair of scissors and cuts them short long enough for everyone to run away, even if Gangle's ribbons start immediately regrowing right afterward.
Everyone begs Kinger to know how they stopped her last time but Kinger can't remember. Pomni tries turning all the lights out so he'll be saner but everyone else stops her because being in the dark with a horror movie antagonist is a terrible idea.
Before Pomni can argue back, though, Gangle finds them again and they're cornered.
As a last resort, they try to verbally reach Gangle, saying that they miss the real her and want her to come back to normal.
Finally, scared out of his wits, Jax says that he wants her back.
That makes Gangle stop and she eerily asks him to repeat that. Jax hesitantly repeated that he wanted her and the dorcelessness mask falls off.
Gangle doesn't remember what she did and everyone else collectively agreed to never talk about it again. Everything then all went back to normal, but whatever happened to the dorcelessness mask?
