When you say nothing at all

Summary:

Sweden loves his wife, Finland. Though he is quiet and doesn’t speak much, Finland can feel his love even without the said nation saying a word.
Paring: Sufin

This is part of the Gone Country Series in which I will use country songs with pairings/groups from Hetalia. (I'm open to requests; just send me the song and pairing/group you would like to read)

Notes:

This fic is based on the song When You Say Nothing at All by Keith Whitley

Work Text:

It's amazing how you can speak right to my heart

Without saying a word, you can light up the dark

Try as I may, I can never explain

What I hear when you don't say a thing

“Paska.” (Shit) Finland said as he stumbled through the dark.

That’s when the light beside the bed turned on, and he was faced with the sleepy eyes of Sweden. Finland winced; he really didn’t want to wake his husband up. Before he could say anything, the Swede got out of bed and picked him up.

“Sve…” he started, but the taller country just shook his head.

The giant laid Finland down and pulled the covers over the smaller country. He then kissed Finland’s head and turned off the light, pulling his arms around his wife.

The smile on your face lets me know that you need me

There's a truth in your eyes saying you'll never leave me

The touch of your hand says you'll catch me wherever I fall

You say it best, when you say nothing at all

Finland was cooking for his small family when he felt arms go around his waist. He then felt soft kisses on his neck; he hummed, and one of his hands went to tangle into golden blond hair. Finland hummed, leaning into the hold and exposing his neck more to the kisses.

Then he was gently pulled away from the soup that he was working on. He turned around to look into the sea blue eyes underneath glasses. Finland caught the small smile on his husband’s face before leaning up and kissing the taller nation. Before pulling away, looking up at the taller nation again.

“Mina.” (Mine) Sweden whispered before kissing him again.

Finland hummed as he felt safe in the arms of his husband, humming into the kiss.

All day long, I can hear people talking out loud (ooh)

But when you hold me near (you hold me near) you drown out the crowd (out the crowd)

Try as they may, they can never define

What's being said between your heart and mine

The world meeting was loud, and Finland was getting a headache. America was interrupting again, and England was shouting at him to stop. That’s when he felt a hand on his shoulder. He looked up to see the blue eyes of Sweden, and it seemed all the sound around them seemed to dull.

Sweden pulled him as close as the chairs would let them. Finland sighed and took the taller country's hand. He smiled and leaned up to whisper in Sweden’s ear.

“Minun.” (Mine) and kissed the taller country’s cheek.

The smile on your face lets me know that you need me

There's a truth in your eyes saying you'll never leave me

The touch of your hand says you'll catch me wherever I fall

You say it best (you say it best) when you say nothing at all
