   Summary

   Carlisle comes back to check on Bella four months after they left to find Bella a shell of her former self. Carlisle finds himself drawn to her, meanwhile his quiet compassion and open affection show her what she had always wanted from Edward that he wasn't willing to give her.

   The title of this used to be Disillusioned (2026) but it's far enough ahead of the original now that I pulled the year out of the title. The original is still marked with the year.
