    Jack would have thought that having a new toy, one that was so unbreakable, and made such lovely noises, would be enough to … well, at least put a pause on the deep well of darkness he knows exists inside his husband.

    But that brightness in his eyes begins to … dull. Slowly, over time. It's not immediate. Dennis doesn't even know it's happening, at first, but Jack has known this man for decades, and he can see it.

    Robby clearly can't be allowed to get on that damn bike and leave. Jack is quite sure that he would never come back. And obviously, he can't let that happen.
