When the emperors and hermits fight at Fort Riffless, with the hermits trying to return home and the emperors trying to stop them, their negative energy seeps into the rift.
It changes the destination.
The emperors and hermits go through the rift only to find that they're not in Hermitcraft. Or anywhere else they know.
They're in Hels.
The server of evil alter egos.
Oli knows this place so at least they have some knowledge of the strange server that's been torn apart even worse than the nether. Apparently he'd been stuck here for a week once when he was hopping between servers after Afterlife SMP and only escaped by... hitting his head and waking up in another world.
No one thinks that trying that again will work.
But maybe the Hels people aren't so bad... some of them anyway.
Disunity Gaming - Jimmy's third life red life skin, also he's Bad Guy from New Life SMP, disunity is the opposite of solidarity
Scarlet Pearl - Pearl's double life red life skin, complete with Tilly
Necromancy Witch - Scott's Witchcraft SMP skin, he's also a vampire because of Afterlife and Vampires SMP and in a villain trio with Shelby and Sausage
NPC Grian - the demon who loves building rustic houses
King Joel - an ogre who can shapeshift into Joel's Last Life red life skin based on kingdomcraft
Orion - Oli's kingdomcraft skin
Sculkby - Shelby's sculk corruption, also has a sentient shadow to reference Afterlife SMP and is in a villain trio with Scott and Sausage
Scub - Cub's sculk corruption
Badtimeswithscar - Scar's third life red life skin
Human Cleo - Cleo but human thanks to the necromancy witch and she also did the whole soulmates divorce thing with Martyn and maybe divorced Etho too
King Ren - Ren's third life red king thing
Littlewood - the hand of the king, Martyn's skin where it's a combination of all of his life series skins
uJevin - green slime Jevin, U instead of I
Evil Xisuma - twin or clone of regular Xisuma
Helsknight - believe it or not he doesn't run the place even though it's called Hels
Queen Lizzie - Lizzie's kingdomcraft skin, she made a deal with Herobrine to be the admin and she's ruler of all of Hels. She's mostly the reason why it looks so torn up. Because TNT griefing. And the ending of kingdomcraft.
Jumbo Mumbo - if Mumbo has a red life skin then this is him
Bsingleo - he's an angsty white haired teenager who's the kid of Human Cleo and Etho, Badtimes is his big brother.
Etho - may or may not be an evil ninja
Joey Graceffa - possessed by Xornoth from Empires SMP season 1
Tek - Tango's normal demon looking skin because the regular Tango from Hermitcraft season 9 is a frost mage. Tek also has the thing where IRL Tango is uncomfortable with having demon horns so he cut his off and hides his tail. They grow back.
Tay - Gem's secret life red life skin
SV - Impulse's secret life skin and he's in a band with Tay and the necromancer
Kat - Katherine's default skin except it's a black cat. She gives bad luck so people usually avoid her except Scott because black cats are good luck in Scotland. Kat and Katherine bond because Katherine's esmp s2 persona is cursed and people don't really like her for that either. At least they both have a nice Shelby to bond with.
True Symmetry - great, now there's three psychopathic Falses running around. Definitely not confusing at all.
Evil Sausage - Evil Sausage from Empires SMP, also has wither powers from Afterlife SMP and in a villain trio with Scott and Shelby
