~August 13 1986~
The cracks in Hawkins are still there and the schools are still running even though hell has basically came to fucking earth. The town of Hawkins is very untrusting of the government that has blocked off the rest of the world from Hawkins.
On a brighter subject this new school year has been much kinder to Will Byers! He’s made new friends separate from the upside down crew.

Will was walking down the hallways of Hawkins high, the school had opened up after the summer. He thought it was kind of stupid for literal hell seeping through Hawkins and Students still had to go to school??
As Will walked into his art class (his 5th hour) he sat down next to two empty seats. The girl that had asked him to dance during the dance back in 1984, her name was something like Jen? And a guy in a basketball jacket with black hair, Chance he heard from some girls?
“OH-! Hey your Will right? From the snowball dance?” She had asked before sitting next to him “Remember me? It's Jen! The girl who asked you to dance-!”
“Oh- oh right-! Yeah-” He had responded quite awkwardly as neither Chance nor Jen had ever seemed nice..but then again they aren't stereotypes.
“I’m Chance.” He said sitting next to Jen.
[TIMESKIP CUZ IF THE STUPID DUFFERS CAN I CAN TOO 👹👿]
It had been almost a month since the trio had met and they were inseparable. Chance finally asked Will out and Jen was insanely supportive.
Will hadn't told any of the Party of his new found boyfriend and gossip bestie.
The trio were sitting at a park playing and all around having fun since it was abandoned because of the cracks. Will had forgotten about the Crawl happening that very same day.
It was an hour past when the crawl ended when Will got home from hanging out with Jen and Chance. He walked into the Wheeler house where he was staying only to be greeted with the worst thing-
“Where were you?” MICHEAL JAMES WHEELER….. Anywho “The crawl was an hour ago. You missed it.”
“I..I was just hanging out with some friends.”
“So friends are more important than finding Henry and stopping him?”
“So what, can't I have friends other than you guys? The crawl probably went nowhere like it always does.”
“Im not saying you can't have friends but you could've missed fighting Henry-!”
“Face it. If Henry was really out there we would've prolly found him already.”
Will pushed Mike out of the way and walked into the basement locking the door.
In the morning Will walked out to meet with Chance and Jen at school early. As soon as Will walked through those double doors he got dragged into the Art room by Jen. He hung out with Jen and Chance until the first bell rang giving Chance a quick kiss before leaving for his first hour.
During lunch he walked past the Party's usual table since he was still pissed at Mike and walked right to Jen’s table where Chance was sitting. They were surprised but happy to see Will.
The party watched as he sat with Jen and Chance in confusion. “Wait, why is Will sitting with them??” Dustin asked “I don't know….but he looks happy…he hasn't been that happy near us since… before the Upside down.”
