Call me, Hunter, the Slicer?
Hunter was swirling, jumping, swaying, sliding and gliding across the planes of the battleground. Then, suddenly swinging from whatever rope like replacement he managed to grab onto and yes, as quickly as all that, the stabba-stab-stab of the vibro-knife struck the enemy. Or rather several enemies in one quick flick of the wrist. Them all crashing down onto the ground with their warranty totally void.
The battle ballet of Hunter’s was certainly a joy to watch even during a moment of mass slaughter. Something of a gory kink for most it was for sure, but this was war, it was pure hell, so why not enjoy something pretty instead?
Well, these enemies were clankers, droids, so not such of a great loss? Or were they? Sentient droids anyone? Perhaps not per se. Not these manufactured Seppie products? Or could they be? Well, not for this tale to figure it out, as that is a whole other story to tell.
But these clankers were the enemy so it was only inevitable for the clone troopers to take them down. The lot of them as it turned out.
As negotiating wasn’t an option, neither was surrender, for either party. So murder and mayhem it was for everyone all around!
And so, Hunter did his thing. The one special thing having earned Hunter the nickname in the battlefields - the Dancing Slicer.
Well, some troopers called Hunter that, his team not so much. But it was becoming somewhat of a thing for the Sergeant of the Bad Batch.
As they all loved to watch Hunter do his thang: the prance, swirl, jump and slash, all followed in order in one swell swoop.
Hunter’s trusted vibro-blade sharp and shiny. The trooper certainly taking care of the thing as good as he did of his own physique, if not even better.
Getting sometimes teased about it too, in a adoring manner but of course.
Alas, each clone had their own precious one to take care of for sure. And Hunter was no different in that.
As Hunter’s, was the vibro-knife. The specially tailored blade Hunter kept in the utmost highest regard, as much part of him as his armour was.
And so, another mission, another battle, another ballet show thrown for the benefit of his fellow clones and of course, the secondary tasks, that of ridding of the enemy.
Hunter as per usual was there with his team, them all but of course, rather victorious.
And so the hoots and hollers followed suit after the fighting was done and heaps of smoking droid bodies filled the planes.
“Hey, Slicer!” Someone shouted to Hunter after the battle was over. Won.
Hunter simply took his pose, placing his trusted precious into it’s hold and then, putting on that special face. That one look known to the Clone Force 99 troopers, a trade mark of sorts.
“Call me Hunter, the Dancing Slicer.”
Hunter simply stated and then, he let out a hefty laugh. The troopers just standing there while secretly admiring this very special trooper and his totally exceptional talents.
Sergeant Hunter’s dancing slice and dice of a thing.
