An anomaly, as they liked to call him. Because his presence was even more unknown than the Black Wizard — Zeref, it’s only natural that they’d deem this mysterious man flying through the skies on a black staff as an anomaly. And there have been multiple sightings of little black birds flying around the man as he passed by. There haven’t been any records of this phenomenon before so the archives had to guess, it was just as much of a mystery as the man in question. What they do know is that he isn’t hostile despite the intimidating aura that many feel from him. He is actually docile. Very docile, in fact. Not once has he purposely attacked a civilian in the cities he’s been through. It seemed too good to be true considering the fact that Zeref’s still out and about. But, as long as he didn’t try to start a fight or wage a war just to witness bloodshed, many deemed this man as not a threat for now.
Although, it seemed that was about to change. In a small little apartment in the city of Crocus was a middle aged man that was fascinated by this mysterious man’s arrival. His name’s not important but he is called Marin. Anyway, he’s heard lots of rumors about him mysteriously showing up one day. Ever since that day, he’s never left Earthland. They called him the Black Sun in many books recorded in the Crocus library, in the library’s archives. He had to know more. Knowing who this Black Sun is was Marin’s sore purpose now. His goal. It was very plain, very simple. But to him, it meant a lot.
Marin took out his green Gale Force reading glasses and opened one of the books he borrowed from the Crocus library. He sat crisscrossed and quietly, he began reading through pages and pages worth of archived information regarding the Black Sun. Apparently, he arrived not too long ago around the year X791. That was the same year that key members of the guild Fairy Tail went missing. Then it says that many people in a nearby village spotted him wearing strange clothes. Although his clothes were strange, he didn’t look like an ordinary civilian. And with the large abundance of magical energy in him and even surrounding him, he was thought to be a wizard. As for the name Black Sun, that became common when many people sighted black birds here and there. These birds follow this man in his wake, thus is the reason why he’s called the Black Sun. And lastly, it’s said that the magic power stored inside of the Black Sun is so powerful, according to magic scaling lacrimas, he could very well rival Zeref’s magic no problem. He could even rival a dragon, though that part in particular is merely speculation. So, in short, the Black Sun is a mysterious man but as long as you don’t provoke him or give him a reason to pick sides in a potential war, he’s not at all a threat. But knowing just that much about the Black Sun wasn’t enough for Marin.
He dug deeper to try and find bits and pieces of his past. Unfortunately, he couldn’t find anything. What he did manage to find was a particular article explaining his arrival. From what’s written here, it seems that there was an anima that appeared near the village that first spotted him. And that was what brought him here. He was also surrounded by a somewhat visible sphere shaped force field. But wait, that didn’t sound right. Didn’t they say he was spotted flying over different cities? Why all of a sudden does it say he was found coming out of an anima? Now this… This piqued Marin’s interest. He looked into more of the Black Sun’s whereabouts to see if he could locate him and ask for himself what really happened. And from what he gathered, the Black Sun might be near the city of Magnolia. Alright then, he’ll set off to Magnolia to go and find the Black Sun to see who he really is personally.
Marin began packing up a change of clothes along with some non-perishable food and water and while he did so, his growing thirst for an answer grew bigger. He grinned silently to himself before zipping up the bag he packed confidently. “I will find the Black Sun,” he muttered under his breath. And with a whisper, he declares his answer to be in his reach. He swung the bag’s straps onto his shoulders and stepped up to his apartment’s front door. “And I will be the first one to talk to him. It’s practically in my reach and if anyone gets in my way, I’ll obliterate them with my magic.” After that final comment, Marin set off on his journey to try and find the Black Sun who was supposedly near the city of Magnolia. It would take him a while but it was all worth it.
Meanwhile with a certain someone, Judar was finding menial things to do in this strange world. The rukh here was weird but the people sure were entertaining, he’ll admit that in a heartbeat. But it feels odd, being so mellow like this. Maybe Aladdin’s passive way of thinking was growing on him. Or maybe, he was at that age where that stuff didn’t matter anymore. Eh, whatever the reason… It didn’t feel quite right. Not yet, at least. Maybe after a while he’ll get used to not waging wars and causing fights. There is one thing he’ll make clear with anyone that encounters him. If they ever decide to anger him, he won’t hesitate to fight them or even murder them. Hopefully someone isn’t that stupid to do something like that. Anyway, life on this world was pretty boring at the moment. There was nothing interesting happening and that bored him to death. So much so that he ended up looking around the place for things to do or at least something that would keep him entertained. He eventually did find that source of entertainment. Though, it wasn’t at all what he expected.
In the city of Magnolia, there was a small group of people that arrived in this city in hopes of meeting Fairy Tail only to have their expectations of the guild shattered. They were originally met by the townsfolk that were still inhabiting the city and that were slowly rebuilding the entire city from scratch — mostly from scratch since there’s still some remains. Anyway, this group in particular were on the same search for him. He happened to run into them while picking through the nearby trees that were still standing for any fruit to eat. Unfortunately, the fruit on them was blown off. What a shame, and he was beginning to feel hungry as well. He thought it was fun to watch these types of people struggle to make sense of what they were sensing. Especially if they were in search of it. And that’s exactly what he was seeing.
These five people, three men and two women, their bodies all shook at the mere presence of the one they were in search of. The Black Sun. One of them, an older looking man, dropped to his knees in utter disbelief. He looked up towards Judar as he looked down at them boredly. And suddenly, the older man started to cackle uncontrollably which surprised the others beside him.
“We’ve done it! We… Finally found the Black Sun! He’s right here!”
The other two men looked at each other, unsure of what they were hearing.
“A-Are you sure, sir? This man.. is really the Black Sun?”
“…He sure feels dark.”
Both of the women gazed at Judar in awe and while the group was still speechless, Judar took it upon himself to raid their belongings for any food to eat.
Lucky for him, it seems they had quite a bit of food. He assumed it was for all five of them which makes sense. But, since he was hungry, he’d take a peach from their stash of food to eat. They all blinked with their mouths open as Judar took a bite from the peach casually.
“He… took a peach.. from our stash…” One woman said, still flabbergasted.
The other woman swallowed thickly and nodded her head slowly. “..He did.”
“What? Cat caught your tongue or something?” They all froze in their places and kept their eyes focused on Judar. They watched his every move carefully from the chewing he did occasionally to the juice that slowly dribbled down his chain that he’d wipe up with his wrist. Every single thing that Judar did, they all watched. They even watched him take a leak at one point. To be honest, it kind of creeped him out. Judar took one more bite from the peach and cringed the more he got closer to finishing chewing and swallowing. He eventually swallowed and for a while, there was absolute silence.
“You people are really creeping me out,” Judar eventually said bluntly, to which the group before him apologized loudly on their hands and knees.
“We’re sorry, Black Sun!!!”
“Stop it already!”
They all raised their heads up high to look up at Judar who was slowly floating higher up into the air. He let out an exasperated sigh and put his arms behind his head, flying further and further away from the group. “Jeez, and here I thought something fun would happen with you guys. Guess I was wrong, you guys are just like everyone else — you’re creepy. Anyway, I’m outta here.” And with that, he flew away and left the group to sit there in more silence. As he flew away into the sunny skies, he let out another sigh and rubbed his temples.
He tries to recall his memory the best he can but of course, nothing comes up. He’s been looking for clues for a while now, regarding the sudden amnesia he has now. Most of what he remembers is blurry and foggy. And what he does remember isn’t a lot. It mostly has to do with his name, age, a little about his past and his powers which is very specific for a case of amnesia but he can’t really say anything since he doesn’t know much about medical stuff. All he hoped for now was to at least find a way out of this place. Though, he doubts he’ll be able to do that when everyone fears him for no reason. Well actually, not entirely for no reason which he also admits. He knows how strong he still is to this day so he assumes that’s why people are scared of him. That’s all in the past now so they have no reason to fear him. Well whatever, on to the next city to find somewhere to crash.
Judar continued to be out and about. As for why he’s being spotted more often, he yearns for entertainment, seeks to regain most of his memory back and wants to find a way back to his home. Those are the sole reasons for him still being here. But if he couldn’t find the answers to that, he wouldn’t mind staying in this world since there are people just like him out there with lots of magical energy. While Judar continued to travel Earthland and while Marin travelled from city to city to try and see Judar up close for the first time, a very resilient guild has been revived after many thought they’d be done for good. That’s right, Fairy Tail has officially been revived and it’s been five days since that’s happened. Not only that, there’s been something boiling underneath the reunion of everyone in Fairy Tail.
Mest Gryder, one of the members of Fairy Tail and a man who used to be involved with the magic council, stepped forward amidst Erza’s appointment to be the seventh master. Judar eventually came to find out the history of Fairy Tail leading up to this point by asking around. Albeit, it was from fear, he eventually got caught up with Fairy Tail’s entire history. He had no involvement or knowledge of what was discussed during Fairy Tail’s rebuilding. He does know that he’ll have a great time following this Fairy Tail guild. After all, they’ll meet lots of different people with lots of different quirks and personalities. Some of which he’ll take personal interest in.
He has heard rumors going around that a nation from another continent wants to invade this continent and man, did it give him deja vu for some reason. Invading continents, waging wars… He knows that feeling all too well. And just the thought of it alone made him want to join sides. How about he join the side with more men? That would be great! And so, that was exactly what Judar did. But, he wouldn’t do that up front. No, he’s done being the center of attention for now at least. From using the maps that were everywhere around this continent and through the mouths of many who’ve been to this continent, Judar sets off to the Alvarez Empire to better observe the fun.
Apparently, there’s also a group just as strong as Sinbad, Aladdin and Alibaba. They call themselves the Spriggan 12 or something like that and all of them act as guards for this Black Wizard dude he’s been hearing about. What was his name again? Zeref? Yeah, that’s about right. The more, the better. Over with Fairy Tail, they were about to face off against an opponent that was even stronger than they were. A few claps were heard and they started growing closer. As the clapping got closer, a man eventually appeared and introduced himself as Marin Hollow, a member of the Alvarez Imperial army of a division called the Brandish Division. His magic stops spatial magic from being used in the areas he’s claimed as his. Not only spatial magic wasn’t allowed but celestial spirit magic wasn’t allowed either. This Marin took Erza and Lucy somewhere else. He claimed that they passed. As for Natsu and Gray, they failed in this Marin’s eyes. He toyed with them for a while before a woman eventually appeared which caused the both of them to shiver in fear. This woman happened to be one of the Spriggan 12 and her name was Brandish Myu. From there, a lot of things went down that felt unsettling for the group that went to try and save their previous master.
But to Brandish who was one of the Spriggan 12, this was nothing. As she left Fairy Tail on their own, she stopped for a moment when she felt an uneasiness in the air. There was someone out there who was just as strong as her. They might probably be on par with Emperor Spriggan. She narrowed her eyes suspiciously before letting out a sigh of exasperation. “Who are you?” She says aloud. The person in question floats over Brandish’s head and stands on his staff with a grin on his face and his arms crossed. When she saw who this man was, her eyes widened slightly. Just for a moment, she lost her composure. She eventually caught it back and crossed her eyes, eyeing him cautiously. “You’re the Black Sun, aren’t you? Your power is just as great as Emperor Spriggan.”
“I guess everyone here thinks I’m pretty strong, huh? But I’m not that strong, not compared to the people I’ve fought against previously.”
Seriously?! There’s someone out there who’s stronger than he is?
Brandish bit her bottom lip before continuing, feeling a sense of uncertainty all of a sudden. “If you’re here for a fight then I’m not the one you should be talking with. I don’t get involved with stuff like that.”
Judar eventually sat down against his staff and when he did, he stretched his legs out and laughed a little bit. That made Brandish even more cautious of Judar. Not to mention, he sounded like that pink haired boy she just ran into. It made her more uneasy. “Why would I get involved with fights like that? I’m done with that kind of stuff. I do still have the urge to want to show my power but I guess because I’m aging and I’m getting soft. What I mean is,” He puts his arms behind his head and sighs before closing his eyes for a second. “I also have no reason to get involved. Not with the fighting anyway. I do wanna see some fighting so I’ll pick your side. I heard you’re all pretty strong and you guys plan on waging a war so you shouldn’t lose, right?”
What was Brandish even hearing? She needed to make sense of this because this was baffling to listen to. The Black Sun says he still wants bloodshed. She expected to hear something like that. But, he just wants them to fight for his entertainment because he’s done fighting and ultimately mellowed out? The Alvarez Empire and basically all of Alakitasia did plan to invade Ishgar because of the Lumen Histoire but she personally didn’t care to get involved with that kind of stuff. She only says those things so no one bothers her but now… It seemed like she didn’t have a choice anymore. She didn’t even want to think about what the Black Sun would do if he suddenly became angry. No one’s seen him get angry because everything about him is unknown so she had yet to know what he was really like.
A whisper left Brandish’s lips and she started to shiver at how blunt Judar was.
“You want… to join our side.. just to watch us fight?”
“Yeah! You guys are strong from what I’m seeing. So, if I join your side, it’ll be fun to watch you show off your power. I know I said that I’m done fighting and stuff but a part of me still wants to see it happen.”
Judar turned to look at the vast sea that surrounded the Alvarez Empire ships. These ships all made their journey back to the Alvarez Empire, a city that’s far greater than what Magnolia has to offer. As these ships rowed silently against the waves, Judar pondered over what he knows so far in this world according to the people he’s managed to talk to.
The rukh in the air isn’t rukh but it’s essentially still the same in purpose. It’s called ethernano and it’s used among the wizards here as a life source for them. Just like rukh, it seems. Everything else is a mystery to him, including this Black Wizard and Emperor Spriggan guy. He took it upon himself to ask Brandish about him but she didn’t say another word to him. Seems like he’ll have to find out for himself.
Over in Vistarion, the capital of the Alvarez Empire, Emperor Spriggan arrived back in the capital and was greeted by the people just as Macarov and Yajeel were mentioning him. Apparently, he hasn’t been seen in over a year. Both men went out to go and see Emperor Spriggan for themselves. And while Yajeel, the high minister of the Alvarez Empire, thought of Emperor Spriggan as a man of great youth and kindness, Macarov discovered that Zeref decided to go under a new title to attract less attention. He called himself Emperor Spriggan to these people but everyone at Fairy Tail including Macarov knew that was a lie. Zeref planned a total annihilation and one of the first ones that took action was Ajeel Ramal, one of the Spriggan 12.
Fast forward and some time after Macarov returned to the Fairy Tail guild, Zeref assembled all of the Spriggan 12 to plan their next course of action. Well, only seven of them came but it was more than enough. Zeref gazed upon the seven that did come for the briefing despite the sudden summons. As the briefing went underway, Judar was relaxing idly overhead and listening to the entire conversation. Zeref told the seven members of the Spriggan 12 that they were going to begin their invasion of Ishgar to which Brandish let out a sigh of exasperation after hearing that. “What a pain.”
Zeref smiled at Brandish before saying. “I wish you wouldn’t say that, Brandish. I believe I have your promise to do as I say?”
“Of course you do,” Brandish looks at Zeref before reiterating her stance in the invasion. As part of the Spriggan 12, she’d do anything for Emperor Spriggan despite what her feelings might be and she expressed that. “My feelings don’t interface with my actions. I’ll follow your orders, even if they’re a pain.” After that, Zeref continued just as the rest of the members of the Spriggan 12 decided to stop by. Zeref explained that their true objective was to obtain Fairy Heart and the other objective was total annihilation of Ishgar.
Brandish understood the objective very clearly but she still couldn’t shake the Black Sun off. He won’t fight so his power won’t be used to help them obtain Fairy Heart and wipe out Ishgar. But at the same time, if he isn’t having fun, who knows what’ll happen. An all-out attack happened in the blink of an eye and obviously Judar had to rush over. He wanted to see the fighting happen so he followed the cruisers through the night and watched the fight unfold. Ajeel seemed to be at the center of it as well. At the start of the battle, Ajeel looked like he had the upper hand but after a while, the Fairy Tail guild that he heard of started to overwhelm him. Brandish eventually joined in. Although, it seemed like she was just trying to relax amidst the battle. One by one, each one of the Spriggan 12 started to fall. Ajeel fell first then Brandish.
Overall, things started to get a little boring for Judar. He didn’t want to have to do this but he might as well join the battle. Or perhaps, a better way of saying this would be that he wants to get just a little closer to the fight. As the battle continued to unfold and produce different individual battles, Judar got more and more bored. There was a bright light that appeared but then it disappeared.
Anyway, Judar found a battle that he thought would be interesting to witness up close. He flew closer to the infamous Etherious Natsu Dragneel or E.N.D. for short and Gray Fullbuster. Two friends about to fight each other, it looks like. A grin slowly appeared on Judar’s face as the two conversed.
“Move,” E.N.D. spoke angrily.
Gray, on the other hand, was quite bitter over this new revelation. “So, you were E.N.D. all along…?” He eventually said.
Both E.N.D. and Gray stared at each other and not one of them moved an inch. After that, there was silence. E.N.D. then demanded Gray move out of his way so he could go and kill the Black Wizard and also Emperor Spriggan, Zeref.
“Get outta my way!!!!”
“Answer me, Natsu!!!!”
Ah, so his true name is just Natsu? Eh, that didn’t really matter right now since they were about to fight.
The rage within E.N.D. only grew stronger the more Zeref was still alive out there. And Gray, he tried to get through to him to make him stop. “I’m gonna… go fight Zeref..” E.N.D. muttered as more of his power surged out of him. “Gotta take down Zeref… That’s why I..”
Gray simply stood there, taking in what Invel had told him earlier about what each demon’s one true goal was. He let out an exasperated sigh soon after. He eventually started to prepare himself to fight as well. “My words aren’t getting through to you anymore, huh?”
The both of them eventually threw fists in an attempt to push the other way out of the way. The fight started abruptly, making Judar’s grin grow even wider as he stood atop his black staff with his arms crossed and his braid blowing in the air. They were so focused on the fight that they didn’t even notice Judar was looking down at them from above. But that was fine, he didn’t want too much attention when the fun was getting started.
Another bright light appeared just shy from where Judar was flying and from where Gray and E.N.D. were fighting, causing the three of them to pause and look over at the light. Both of them resumed their fight soon after the light was gone after they paused for a moment to catch their breaths. And Judar went back to enjoying the fight under him. Beams of fire and ice shot in all directions as they went all out to stop the other. It got so intense that they both used all of their power into one shot. He watched them both lunge at each other with everything they’ve got but just before their fists collided, someone stopped them.
Upon getting a closer look, it was that Erza chick who stopped them. Both Gray and Natsu stopped when they saw her cry with wide eyes and shocked looks on their faces.
“How can you… be fighting each other?!” Erza cried out as tears streamed down her face.
After a moment of silence, Gray and Natsu spoke.
“Erza…?”
“You’re crying…”
Erza brought them both into her arms as she cried and soon after, a few more of their friends showed up. A little girl named Wendy and her cat Carla was helping another woman named Juvia walk. Lucy came as well along with Natsu’s partner, Happy.
Erza said this before they came. “…I love the both of you! I love you both from the bottom of my heart!!!” And then, they all reunited and both Gray and Natsu stopped fighting.
Because the fight stopped, it bummed Judar out. He clicked his tongue and sat down on his staff crisscrossed. He followed Natsu as he was brought down into some cellar. So much was happening up top but he didn’t care. He wanted something to happen so if he had to, he’d just do it himself. And that’s exactly what he was going to do. He was going to kill E.N.D. himself. If Zeref was caught in some battle, he’ll do it just to see something exciting happen. But wait, Zeref and Natsu were going to battle it out. This was good. Finally, he could have some entertainment. He happened to get shifted into the same place Natsu went, which was back into the Fairy Tail guild. So he just watched from above as they threw punches at each other. (wip)
