Chapter Text

An easy, breezy, quiet afternoon in New Kahln City. Soft music was playing at the Snugstone Flower Shop, which was being run by Olruggio, a master craftsman, florist, and botanist, and his daughter and apprentice, Agott. She was taking inventory of the new flowers that came in and Olruggio was wrapping up another order when the bells above the door start to jingle.

“Good afternoon to you both! Guess who has fantastic news for you!” Alaira says in a sing-song voice.

“Suddenly I’m nervous.” Agott responds, waving towards Euini who was stood by Alaira’s side.

“What, you got me a new client or something?” Olruggio says.

“Wait how’d you guess that?” Alaira responds, dejectedly.

“Huh, you actually got me a new client? Is it a wedding or something?” Olruggio asked, taking out his phone, opening the notes app.

“Look up, Silverwood Atelier, 'Ruggio.” Alaira said.

“Wait? You booked us with Silverwood Atelier?!” Agott asked, shocked.

“You know who he is? I thought you weren’t on social media too much.” Euini said.

“I’m not normally but he’s still super famous. A lot of customers that walk in are wearing his stuff, in the Main Square there’s tons of billboards with him and his pieces on.” Agott responded.

Alaira fumbles with her phone before pulling up a picture on her phone, “Here he is!”

Olruggio takes the phone from her hands and stares, “Wow… he’s gorgeous.”

“Good! Glad you think so, because you have a dinner meeting with him tonight at the Angel’s Share Lounge to see if you two are compatible!” Alaira smiled.

“Eh?” Olruggio deadpanned, looking directly at Alaira.

“You set my dad up on a date?!” Agott asked, equally shocked.

Alaira dug into her bag and plucked out a business card as well as a notecard with the dinner address and Qifrey’s business card and handed it over.

“Here’s everything you need to know for tonight,” Alaira and Euini headed towards the door, “Oh and ‘Ruggio?”

Olruggio was still reading over all the information, “Yes?”

“Mind your alcohol tonight.”

“Oi!”

The door shut behind the two of them and Agott just looks at Olruggio.

“Well, then. Should I pack my overnight bag for a sleep over at Custas and Dagda’s house?” Agott asked.

“Guess so. I’ll go prep my binders and such. Be at this counter in 45 minutes.”  Olruggio pinched his fingers over his eyebrows.
