Summary
Shuntarō and Hikari grew up together in the same neighborhood, but their economic statuses were quite different. Hikari came from a middle-class family; her father owned a karate school and her mother was a homemaker. Shuntarō, on the other hand, was born and raised in a prestigious and wealthy family of doctors. Both were only children, and thanks to his grandmother and her mother, they became close friends.
Over time, they learned about each other's problems and secrets, which brought them even closer.
However, everything changes when Hikari runs away from home after her mother's death, leaving a final letter for Shuntarō. At first, he doesn't take the news well, but he moves on and tries to forget her.
Years later, Shuntarō becomes a successful doctor and is currently in the process of divorcing his wife, Shiga Kotoko.
Everything seemed normal in his life. Known as a cold, intelligent, and calculating person, nothing bothered him except for certain attitudes of his parents. Until one ordinary day, he ran into Hikari in the hospital corridors.
There, they had a second chance to start over and clear up some unfinished business.
