Chapter Text
The day started like any other day, horrible, I woke up and cried for 10 minutes in the bathroom then my alarm went off “Fri what time is it” I say holding back tears so FRIDAY would not tell Mr. stark.
“The time is 7:00, Shall I alert the boss of your awakening?” Friday asks.
“NO, I mean no, he needs rest.”
“ok” Friday responds in that almost human like tone that she only talks to me in, as I got ready, I went down and saw Steve making breakfast he had not seen me yet.
“Hey Fri” I ask whispering “turn the stove off and start flashing the lights off and on” I did not hear a response but then Steve started freaking out as I walk out laughing at his panicked face.
“ahh” he chuckles “I shoulda known it was you kid” he smirks, “it’s a shame you won’t get any waffles” he looks at me as I panic.
“What no, please Steve please I’m sorry” I say almost crying.
“What no I’m sorry please don’t cry kid” Steve responds almost looking heartbroken as he waves me over looking for a hug, right as he is about to, I snatch his plate of waffles and laugh as I walk away eating them.
“ha-ha always fall for its Stevie” bucky laughs stealing another one of his waffles.
“Hey, where’s peter?” tony asks not seeing him anywhere, all of a sudden, an egg breaks over his head onto him “crap kid you got me this time” as he looks up to see peter holding a broken egg.
“Hehe, I’m going to school now, also don’t look in my room.”
“wait, wait, what do you mean, what do you mean” as the elevator doors close I hear an explosion and confetti poppers 1 by 1 exploding at the doorway as i head to ground level “hey happy, if we go the normal way we might just not make it in time” I say with a fake laugh as happy looms at me angrily
“The last time I went fast I got 2 speeding tickets but for the boss I guess, whatever” happy sighs and speeds up a little
“thanks happy” I say and wait, 13 minutes of awkward silence go by as we pull up to the school “thanks happy, tell dad that I’m sorry for the egg” I say, turning around and realizing what I said “wait no happy don’t, ahh well I’m screwed” I mumble as happy’ s already gone
“Why are you screwed?” I jumped around.
“Ned!” I yell surprised “well I may or may have not told happy to tell tony stark that I’m sorry for the egg that I broke over his head.”
“That doesn’t seem that bad.”
“I didn’t say tony stark, I said dad” I whisper just so Ned can hear as he bursts out laughing.
“Oh, well I hope that your not that screwed to the point of view not coming over tonight.”
“Oh yeah about that”
“Nope you already agreed your coming.”
“okay” I say sheepishly as we run into the school, the bell rings 3 minutes after
“Now children we have been asked one of the highest honors for a field trip, one place nobody has ever gotten a field trip from before.”
“Oh no” I mumble thinking I know where.
“McDonalds” Mr. Harrington says calmly. as everybody starts yelling at him for getting their hopes up “calm down calm down, now hand these permission slips to your parents and no you can’t skip” I sigh knowing we are not going to stark industries thankfully and Ned looks at me pissed,
The rest of the school day is boring until decathlon when I get a buzz on my phone.
“Hey, you’re going to have to leave early, I have to talk to you” from tony stark and I sigh as I realize what he wants to talk about
“Ugh okay” I respond dreading whats coming next, when I get back to stark industries, I am immediately met with FRIDAY.
“Ministark, tony wants you upstairs as soon as possible.”
“Thanks Fri” I respond dreading whats about to happen, as I reach the top floor I am bombarded by clint as soon as the doors open.
“Whatever the hell you did to tony, he’s been in his room crying all day” I take a step back frightened by his sudden hostility.
“Wah?” I ask as I am shoved upstairs by clint into Tonys room, thinking how horrible I must be to not be wanted as a sun just then tony tackles me “AGH” I yell surprised, as clint chuckles in the doorway and I realize that they were just pranking me.
“Hey kid” tony says looking proud “so what did you say to happy this morning?” he asks.
“Umm, I don’t remember that was this morning.”
“Now we both know that’s bullshit” tony says looking fiercely into my eyes, his playfulness still there but more serious.
“Language” We hear Steve from a distance.
“Alright, alright” I say chuckling at his remark “I said say sorry to tony stark for the egg.”
“hmm really, you know you have this tell when you lie, you clench your fists and never make direct eye contact or you’ll keep direct eye contact without breaking it through your whole conversation, and let’s see, clenched fists” he says looking down at my hands “and not looking me in the eyes once during this whole conversation ” I feel trapped “you see happy ran in here, I even got alerted he went 75 in a 20 to get here, and he alerted FRIDAY to send me down to the lobby as fast as possible, saying it was something about peter, then he informed me that you called me-”
“Oh, look at the time” I say running pushing past clint muttering a little “sorry” out of his room into mine locking the door “I have homework.”
“Oh, do you now” he shouts through the door “we’ll talk about it at dinner” and that is when I realized I was truly screwed, even more because it will be in front of everyone.
Later at dinner we all sit down “Yes!” I exclaim “Wanda made the food.”
“Hey, whats wrong with my food” bucky growls as Wanda looks really happy.
“No offense uncle Buc, but the last time you cooked you burnt the pasta and the sauce caught on fire” I snap back quickly as everyone bursts out laughing.
“Hey- “he tries to respond but tony cuts him off.
“so everyone I just want to make an announcement, earlier today I got a new nickname from peter” I hide my face blushing as clint snickers “I am now dad” he smirks as the room is quiet, then I feel a pat on my back and I look up and its Sam and he sees my face
“Aww his face is redder than the sun.”
“The sun is orange dummy” I hear clint yell.
“Actually, the sun is white but due to the atmosphere we perceive it as yellow or orange” vision says matter-of-factly.
“I meant with my glasses” Sam whispers humbled and everyone starts laughing from his remark but mostly because of peter calling tony dad.
“Aww come here my малыш паук” (baby spider) I hear Nat say as I out my head in her lap embarrassed “Я тебя держу, маленький паучок, теперь не нужно волноватьс” (I have you, baby spider, no need to worry now)
“спасибо, мама паук” (thanks mama spider) I mumble back.
---------NEXT DAY---------
I am there, in the warehouse again and the building falls again, I hear the vulture laughing as the stone and rubble start closing in on me, my arms and legs breaking as I start screaming.
I wake up screaming as I calm down but I still can’t breathe, I huddle myself in the blankets trying to control myself but I still can't breathe, luckily nobody had heard me, I don’t need them to know I have problems they'll just think of me more of a burden I thought reassuring myself that no one was coming and I could handle it myself
Tonys POV
I wake up to Friday telling me “Boss peter has elevated vitals and likely having a panic attack right now.”
“thanks Fri” I mumble as I realize what she said, I get up, sprinting to peters room, as I break open the door I see peter bundled up in the blankets his face turning blue due to oxygen deprivation “hey buddy, I’ve got you breathe, ok, breathe” I say sitting down pulling him to my chest, my chin laying on his head “ive got you, I need you to breathe” I say as his face is turning a normal color again, I look down at him and he looks up at me “want to talk about it?”
“no” he says his voice barely a whisper as he Burys himself into my chest again, and he starts crying,
“Ok, I’ve got you” I respond holding him tightly, we stay like this for 20 minutes before he pulls away.
Peters POV
I lay on my mentor’s chest until I realize what is happening and push away.
“Do you want to talk about it now?” he asks his comforting deep voice soothing my worries.
“No just a bad nightmare” I say whispering.
“Ok, if you want, I can go back to my bed or-”
“No!” my small voice cutting through his sentence as I realize how desperate it sounds but before I can apologize, he pushes my over and lays down in my bed, his head against the backboard, I look at him puzzled.
“You didn’t want me to leave” he shrugs and my heart melts, realizing that he does not mind, as I bury myself in his chest again feeling how warm he is, I fall asleep almost instantly,
“hey” I wake up barely.
“five more minutes” I mumble.
“hey” I hear again and rise, and it takes a second until I realize I fell asleep on my mentor’s chest.
“Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry, I was just vulnerable last night, and I had no right to do that, and you were so warm and comforting and I was freezing and I was scared and oh my gosh you probably hate me now I’m so sorry I should just-”
“Hey!” his voice cuts my sentence off as I look at him, he looks proud “no need to apologize, you just needed some comforting and I don’t care, I’d trade the world for you kid” I take a step back and fall off the bed in surprise.
“ow” I yelp.
“kid you okay?” clint walks by looking in the room and see’s tony “Friday take a photo of this” I hear the clicking of a photo as my face turns red as I scramble to put everything in my backpack and realize I forgot to tell tony to sign the slip and go downstairs to hand him the slip not meeting his eyes as he signs it, before he can say anything I steal some toast from Steve and run downstairs into the elevator
“Parking garage please” I ask FRIDAY as the elevator starts moving, later at school I meet up with Ned, and we start talking about Star Wars before the bell rings.
“so class now that all of you have turned in your permission slips it seems that I might have had a slip up, you see yesterday your history teacher made a bet with me about the field trip, if I could make you all annoyed at the field trip she’d give me 30 bucks, we aren’t going to McDonalds, we’re going to stark industries” he finish’s up and I freeze as the class cheers,
“Hey penis, now everyone will know about your fake internship” Flash sneers.
“I think the only thing fake here is your brain, because trust me if its real the things gotta be smaller than a pea” Mj retaliates as everyone starts laughing.
“Mrs. jones, detention after class today” Mr Harrington yells and I smirk at Mj knowing she wont even go to it.
“Thanks Mj” I say smirking as Ned is still laughing.
“Any time nerd” Mj says “hey you gonna be okay, you look awfully pale” she adds, she always says the blatant truth to whoever weather their her friend or not.
“Yeah, I just know I’m not making it out of that trip alive” I respond, later that day after the day is over my Spidey senses go into overdrive and I know whats going to happen flash comes up behind me and bangs my head into my locker.
“so your friend has a brain” he says continuing to bang my head into the locker harder and harder “hey do something for me” he says pushing my to the ground “tell your parents you love them, oh wait you cant because they killed themselves, I would too if I had to live with you, I mean why bother living when your related to puny parker, oh and where’s ben and may, they couldn’t handle you either so they killed themselves too, who can blame them” he says while he starts kicking me hard “all your family dead because your just too much parker, I bet they’re much happier dead than here with you, sometimes I wonder if you just kill everyone you touch” he says laughing, everyone has gone by now and flash pulls my arm up and “snap” its broken, he leaves laughing as I lay there in pain, I manage to get up and instead of the front doors because happy’ s there and I can’t let him see me, I go to the back exit
“ack” I yelp in pain as my arm touches something and I finally make it out the back doors where I stay there for 20 minutes before I fall asleep, 4 hours later I wake up and my arm is mostly healed and my ribs which I felt some break are all healed, I just have major bruises all over my body and a black eye as I make my way home with every step full of pain just when I get in the doors feeling like I’m going to pass out I see tony in the main lobby panicking as he sees me the world goes black
Tonys POV
It had been 4 hours since the kid was supposed to be back, was he embarrassed by this morning? Was he kidnapped? Millions of thoughts ran through his head as he was panicking, of course he just had to wear his pair of shoes that didn’t have a tracker, nor did he bring his suit, and his backpack had fallen in water a week prior causing that tracker to not work he even forgot to bring his phone, it seemed like the universe didn’t want him to have his kid, who he considered a son, of course he would never tell it to his face. He already told everyone that peter was gone and they were out there searching for him while he waited at the tower for some miracle that his son would be back, just as he was consulting the receptionist to tell him if peter walked in he looked back to the doors he had just heard open and saw him, in horrible condition, bruises all over his body and a black eye and he watched as the kid fell to the floor “KID” I screamed rushing to his side “Fri alert the others that I’ve found peter” he yelled holding the kid in his arms and bringing him down to med bay.
