   Summary

Remus Lupin is thirty-nine, chronically exhausted, and talks to trees. When Albus Dumbledore appears in a park and offers him a job teaching Defence Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts, based solely on the fact that Remus once apologised to a Bowtruckle he thought was a stick, Remus assumes he’s either being pranked or that he has finally lost his mind.
