Summary
Japan, nighttime, 3 AM.
One of the few places in the world where you can observe such a spectacle, where hundreds of firefly squid lie on the beach, making it shine blue through the night sky and mirroring the stars. Each time he saw it, he would hold his breath; he didn't have words to describe its beauty. As he was walking on the beach, Jabber approached the calm sea further, carefully avoiding the specimens on the ground, shining so brightly.
While his gaze was traveling back and forth, amazed by the view, his magenta eyes fell on an immobile silhouette ashore.
A fish?
Curiosity took the best of him as he slowly walked on the sand. As he approached the silhouette, his eyes widened, not believing what he was seeing, his excitement rising quickly. Something even more beautiful than a lightning-blue sea.
Their kind really existed: A merman!
A gorgeous one, at that.
