Summary
Kenma and Shoyo begin a battle for love.
Following the Dumpster Battle at Nationals, a startling defeat leads Kenma to reconsider all of his plans. He discovers something about himself that makes him quit volleyball. But as the years pass his friendship with Shoyo doesn't fade. Instead what started as a friendly rivalry turns into a battle for love that Kenma won't lose.
This is a Kenma + Shoyo fanfic for Haikyuu!! I assume the reader has not read the manga but has seen the anime up to the battle of the dumpster. It is my goal to follow the events of the manga as loyally as possible, filling in some holes with Kenma and Shoyo's relationship. Unlike the manga this story will be linear. I expect this story to be novel length when completed and chapters will be around 2000-4000 words. I have tagged this M/M and Other because gender is nuanced and Kenma is intersex while continuing to use he/him pronouns.
Sex scenes will be explicit and of legal age. Power play will be a factor in their relationship as well as BDSM. First sexual encounter chapter 5.
