You say I left you in your darkest time,
But you never saw how far I climb
To stay with you when troubles were rife
I've been with you for all of my life.
I stayed by your side when you stood in the light,
I watched you sparkle, proud at the sight
But when you cried in the dark, black room
I couldn't stay by when you drowned in gloom.
I know you always blamed me for that,
But you never thought, I too hated that.
When you were caught up in a lightless snare,
I wasn't alive, I couldn't be there.
You said you want me to stay far away,
But forgot I'm proof you're in the ray.
I can't stay with you through darkness,
But let me watch you in your starriness.
