   Summary

In a grim, alternate early 19th-century Britain, a catastrophic demographic collapse has led to the implementation of extreme state-controlled measures to ensure the survival of the ruling class. Former enemies Napoleon Bonaparte and Arthur Wellesley are brought together under a chilling bureaucratic directive known as the Continuity Acts.
