Work Text:

Riki presented himself as an omega much later than his peers. He himself wasn't particularly concerned about his secondary gender, although most assumed he would be an alpha due to his tall stature, deep voice, and demeanor. But his friends, like him, didn't care. Of course, Riki felt uncomfortable being the only one of his friends who didn't know his secondary gender and was essentially still a puppy. However, when he turned twenty, his presentation finally took place and he was revealed to be an omega. His parents threw a party to celebrate their child no longer being just a puppy, but a fully-fledged adult. He still remembers with horror how his relatives congratulated him and he blew out the candles on the cake that read "Congratulations on becoming an omega." Sunoo, his best friend and also an omega, teased him about it for a long time, as such parties were more of a thing of the past. But Riki allowed the playful teasing and never really got annoyed at him.

Today, like every other school day, Riki struggled out of bed and stretched lazily. His hair was sticking out in all directions from constantly bleaching it, and no matter how hard he tried to comb it, it still turned into a hedgehog overnight. With a heavy sigh, he went to wash up and change, opting for a white low-cut T-shirt, a gray hoodie, and loose gray low-rise jeans. He also hung several chains on the waistband of his jeans and put rings and bracelets on his wrists. Around his neck was a pearl necklace, a gift from his grandparents after he turned 18. The sweet scent of strawberries wafted through the air, conveying how content and happy Riki was. Brushing his hair back, he slipped on his sunglasses and, grabbing his bag from the chair, hurried out of the apartment.

Commuting by public transportation was a real pain, but meeting Sunoo warmed his heart and brought a smile to his lips. Sunoo... dark-haired, with bright hazel eyes that slanted like a fox, his peachy cheeks flushed with color. A bright smile that outshone the sun itself. Plump lips, a slender waist, and broad shoulders. Everything about him stirred a storm of emotions within Riki. His best friend and omega, for whom he harbored feelings that were anything but friendly. But Riki was afraid to take the plunge and confess, afraid that his feelings would ruin the friendship and would never be reciprocated by his best friend. Moreover, Sunoo was incredibly popular with students of both sexes and had had several relationships while he was friends with Riki, which reduced the chances of reciprocity. So, he simply loved him from afar, although Sunoo always asked him to be closer, but Riki maintained a safe distance between them.

Riki sighs, getting off at the right stop and heading toward the university building, where Sunoo is waiting, waving. An involuntary smile plays on the omega's lips, and his scent flares with sweet notes. Today, he's wearing a light shirt tucked into dark jeans, accentuating his slim waist, and Riki wants to hide it from everyone, seeing the glances directed his friend's way. He tuts and heads toward Sunoo with a displeased expression that scares the others off. Even though everyone knows Riki is an omega, his aura easily repels the annoying and clingy fans of his omega best friend.

"Riki-yah, why are you looking so sour?" Sunoo laughs, nudging his shoulder. Riki snorts and nudges him back.

"I just didn't get enough sleep," Riki makes the excuse, and Sunoo, of course, takes him at his word.

"What were you doing that you didn't get enough sleep?" the older boy teases, and Riki is tempted to say something stupid like "thinking about you," but he bites his tongue.

"I was thinking about my final art assignment," the younger boy chuckles, adjusting his hood to shield his face from the bright fluorescent lights.

"Oh, show me what happens later," Sunoo stops in front of his class and Riki nods in response. "See you at lunch!" he waves and goes into the room, and the younger one heads to his class.

The tedious lectures drag on endlessly and finally it's time for lunch. Riki gathers his things and leaves the classroom, meeting Sunghoon on the way. Another one from a group of friends who is studying at the Faculty of Medicine. His dark hair is combed back perfectly so that not a single strand stands out from his perfect hairstyle. He adjusts his glasses on his nose with his finger, looking at Riki with an appraising gaze. Today he's wearing a crisp white shirt with the top two buttons undone and the sleeves rolled up to reveal his muscular arms, and black dress pants that show off his long, slender legs. If Riki didn't like omegas, he would probably be drooling over such an attractive alpha. But alas.

"Hyung? How did you get here?" Riki asks in surprise, since as far as he remembers the medical faculty lectures in another building.

"Hello, Riki-yah," Sunghoon smiles softly, revealing his fangs. Sometimes he reminded Riki of a real vampire. "We had a lecture canceled, and I was walking around the university. Will you go after Sunoo?"

"No, Jungwon-hyung will go with him; they have lectures in the same building," Riki shrugs and Sunghoon nods in response, keeping pace with him.

Their shoulders touch every now and then, but they walk in comfortable silence as students rush past, hurrying in every direction. A hum of voices and loud laughter are heard and Riki thinks about something that he does not immediately hear Sunghoon's voice and feels how he takes his hand. Omega flinches and looks at the alpha in disbelief.

"Riki, I've been calling you for a while now, but you haven't responded," he notices the omega's glance at their hands and lets him go. "I wanted to ask you something..."

"Of course," Riki tenses a little, as the hyung looks quite serious and there is a hint of nervousness in his scent.

"Would you like to go somewhere with me this weekend?" asks the alpha and Riki's eyebrows creep up in surprise.

"So suddenly?" comes out of his mouth before he can stop himself. Sunghoon laughs, and the omega blushes like a lobster from his lack of restraint.

"Yes, I've long wanted to get to know you better," the alpha shrugs with a casual grin on his lips.

Riki tries to find some hint of a joke in his gaze, but finds nothing. Only icy calm and relaxed posture. Even his scent has slight notes of excitement. Honestly, Riki doesn't see the point in giving up the opportunity to unwind and spend time outside the home.

"Is this a date?" he raises an eyebrow and folds his arms over his chest.

"It's a date," Sunghoon confirms, and Riki bites his lip, wondering how to answer.

He has no reason to refuse. Besides the fact that he would gladly go on a date with Sunoo and not Sunghoon, but the likelihood of being together with the omega is extremely low. Who knows, maybe something will work out between him and Sunghoon? His inner omega protests, but Riki doesn't listen to him.

"Of course," Riki nods, although his voice trembles a little with excitement.

"Great, I'll send you the details later," Sunghoon smirked so attractively that Riki's heart fluttered in his chest. "Now let's go, the others are already waiting."

When Sunghoon and Riki appeared in the cafeteria together, the omega noticed his best friend's frown and the way he looked at Sunghoon. If looks could kill, the alpha would already be dead. "Maybe I imagined it?" flashed through Riki's mind. But as soon as he sat down next to the elder, the latter didn't even glance at him, which was odd.

"Why did you come with Sunghoon?" he asked quietly, and his voice made Riki's stomach clench. Such a commanding voice full of possessiveness... it felt pleasantly tugging in the pit of his stomach.

"We met near my class and went together," Riki replied, and Sunoo merely chuckled in response. After that, lunch passed with only occasional conversation between friends, leaving Riki with a strange feeling inside.

**

Sunoo was incredibly irritable for the rest of the day. He was angry at Riki or Sunghoon, maybe both. His leg kept shaking under the table, and he nervously chewed his lip, imagining how he would deal with the annoying alpha. Why had Riki come to lunch with him? Since when had they become closer? No. Sunoo had no right to react like that, but the jealousy burning in his chest couldn't be stopped. He liked Riki to the point of chest pain, tears, and shaking hands. He was head over heels in love, completely and irrevocably. Concentrating on the lecture was impossible, as all his thoughts revolved around the younger omega with the scent of strawberries and cream.

"God, how annoying," he fumed. "And why didn't Riki come pick me up for lunch?" The pencil nearly broke in his hands from the force of his emotions, but the lecture was over, and he let out a sigh of relief. Now he'd go home, take a bath with soothing herbs, then take care of his skin and call Jungwon to complain about his boundless jealousy.

"Hyung," Sunoo's heart sank at the sound of Riki's low voice in his ear. He hesitantly raised his hazel eyes to him, and the ground beneath his feet shifted as he looked into the omega's eyes. Such beautiful, warm brown eyes.

"Riki-yah! You scared me to death," Sunoo protested, placing his hand to his chest where his own heart was pounding wildly, but not entirely from fear.

Riki was so close to him that he could clearly smell his strawberry scent with hints of cream. So sweet, so alluring, and... wait. Sunoo mentally shakes his head, trying to clear his mind. The younger omega's smile brings a subtle blush to Sunoo's cheeks, and his own scent of mint chocolate flares unconsciously. The older man couldn't help but admire Riki's beauty, the way his full lips curve into a guilty smile, and the soft glint in his eyes. But someone cleared their throat behind Sunoo, and the bubble they were in burst, embarrassing them both. Riki guiltily stepped back, letting the indignant students pass.

"Sorry," the younger omega apologizes, scratching the back of his head and letting the people gathered at the auditorium exit pass.

"Mm, nothing," Sunoo waves his hand, leaning against the wall behind him and folding his arms across his chest. The bag weighs uncomfortably on his shoulder, but he tries to ignore it. "Did you want something?" he asks casually, and Riki nods with a small smile on his lips.

"Yes, someone invited me on a date," the younger omega timidly admits, and Sunoo's eyebrows shoot up, his mouth hanging open in surprise and indignation. Before Riki can continue, he interrupts, clasping his hands to Riki's biceps.

"Who?!" Sunoo asks, louder than he'd intended, his voice laced with desperation.

Riki is taken aback by this reaction and blinks in surprise, trying to understand why his friend is reacting this way. His heart pounded with anxiety, and he swallowed the lump in his throat, noticing the panic in Sunoo's gaze.

"Sunghoon-hyung," Riki adds quietly, and the emotions on Sunoo's face flicker like frames in a film. But the most distinct of them is sadness.

Pain and hurt glimmer in the depths of his eyes, but he forces a smile and loosens his grip on Riki's hands, placing his own behind his back and clenching them into fists. He shouldn't react like this—they're just childhood best friends, nothing more. Riki isn't interested in him as a lover and has no right to hope for anything more, but his inner omega refuses to admit defeat. Sunoo, however, understands. Sunghoon is one of their mutual friends, and it's certainly no surprise he's set his sights on Riki. Sunghoon is a handsome and charming alpha, despite the cold aura surrounding him. And Riki... he's always been handsome and popular with everyone from betas to alphas. A treacherous heart clenches painfully in his chest, and tears well up in his eyes, but he pulls himself together. This is no way to react to the fact that someone else will appear in the life of the person he so desperately loves. Only when Sunoo thinks of someone looking at Riki with the same admiration he did, or touching him the way he always did his heart breaks.

Riki, in turn, bites his lip, seeing his hyung's reaction to the news of his date with Sunghoon. Honestly, he himself didn't understand why the alpha had asked him out, considering he hadn't shown much interest in him. They were in the same group of seven friends, but the omega always assumed Sunghoon wasn't interested in him and that they were just friends. Why he suddenly asked him out remains a mystery.

"I see," Sunoo smiles at him as brightly as the sun itself, but Riki notices the insincerity. "Congratulations! Sunghoon is a model alpha and definitely right for you..."

"Hyung..." Riki opens his mouth to say something else, but Sunoo interrupts him.

"Since you have a date, as your best friend, I need to help you get ready—it's your first date, after all!" Sunoo turns and takes his arm, leading him away from the audience. "I'll pick out the best outfit for you, do your makeup, and Sunghoon-hyung won't be able to take his eyes off you!" he chirps happily, unaware that they're both experiencing the same emotions and feelings.

Riki's unspoken words leave a bitter taste in his mouth. Sunoo pretends everything is fine and isn't at all worried about Riki's upcoming date. However, you can't run from your own feelings, no matter how hard you try to show everyone that everything is fine. The older omega hides his feelings behind a fake smile, and the younger one cowardly avoids the topic of his feelings and the possibility that Sunoo might reciprocate them. Both are unaware that they carefully guard and cherish their love for each other.

**

The next day, Sunoo comes to Riki's house, where he's greeted at the door wearing a stretched-out white tank top with a low neckline, revealing his thin arms and slender collarbones, and gray sweatpants. A barely perceptible smile plays on the younger omega's lips, and Sunoo's heart is torn apart by longing and a reluctance to let the younger omega go on a date. His inner omega is fighting against it, wanting to keep the younger omega by his side in any way possible. He's terribly jealous and possessive. Sunoo swallows the lump in his throat, because even in his loungewear, Riki looks so handsome and attractive to him.

"Hi, hyung," Riki purrs lowly, hugging the older omega, who sighs contentedly, nuzzling his neck and inhaling his strawberry scent, drowning in it. The omega inside him purrs contentedly, but Sunoo suppresses the sound.

"Hello, Riki-yah," Sunoo smiles softly, looking at him with love and admiration. "Come on, we don't have a minute to waste. When are you meeting Sunghoon-hyung?" the omega asks, walking deeper into Riki's house, which he's been to many times and knows everything just as well as the younger one.

"In an hour, he wrote that he should pick me up," Riki mumbles, checking his phone for messages in case the alpha has changed his mind or plans, oblivious to Sunoo rolling his eyes and mimicking him.

"Then let's get to work," Sunoo opens the younger omega's closet, while the other one sits on the edge of the bed and admires him.

Sunoo looks especially handsome today. Light makeup accentuates his fox-like eyes, and a raspberry gloss glistens on his plump, inviting lips. Skinny jeans perfectly accentuate his rounded hips and firm butt, and Riki looks away, blushing when he lingers on his butt for too long. The tight sweater and broad shoulders only further provoke the younger omega, who bites his lip and takes a deep breath, trying to calm himself.

Sunoo chooses an outfit for him that accentuates his figure to the fullest. Skinny blue jeans, with a chain attached to the waistband, and a soft white knit sweater with a low neckline that reveals his graceful collarbones and the still-unmarked neck. Riki looks stunning. His long, slender legs in the skinny jeans, his sharp shoulders and slender waist, and his long, snow-white neck. It takes all of Sunoo's willpower to control the way his mint-chocolate scent takes on a bitter tint, but he fails. As soon as he moves closer to apply makeup to Riki's face, he immediately notices the change in his scent. Sunoo carefully applies light makeup to his eyes, highlighting them, adding a natural pink blush to his pale cheeks, and a colorless shimmery tint to his plump pink lips.

His heart clenches in his chest as if it were about to shatter into a million pieces, no matter how much Sunoo mentally prepared himself for it all evening. He stayed up all night, thinking and imagining how Riki would smile at Sunghoon, how the alpha would touch his slender waist or take his hand in his, hug him... or touch those lips, stealing Riki's first kiss. The older omega's scent becomes so bitter that it's impossible to hide, and Riki can no longer remain silent, seeing his friend's eyes glisten with unshed tears and the longing with which he looks at him. The air between them hangs with the tension of unspoken words, feelings, and emotions.

"Sunoo-hyung," Riki begins hesitantly and timidly, not taking his eyes off his friend. "Is everything okay? You look so sad..." His question makes Sunoo's scent flare even brighter, turning almost sour, making Riki uneasy.

"It's okay, Riki-yah. You're so handsome, I'm sure Sunghoon-hyung will be crazy about you." The compliment should have pleased Riki, but why did Sunoo look so sad, as if he were on the verge of tears?

"But your scent... it's strangely bitter and sour." Riki carefully moves his hand with the makeup brush away from his face, picking it up and setting it aside, then takes Sunoo's hand in his own, intertwining their fingers. "Please tell me what's wrong?"

Sunoo is silent, biting his lip and desperately trying to hold back the tears threatening to spill out. The older omega avoids looking at him, and Riki grows even more flustered, using his free hand to turn Sunoo to face him. He freezes as soon as their gazes meet. The older omega's eyes sweep over his face, then lower to his body, where a strange light flashes. His scent, wafting through the room, takes on a sweet tint. Sunoo literally goes crazy, losing his mind, seeing his best friend like this... Riki is clearly confused—it's evident in his gaze and the worry in his eyes—and at that moment the younger omega pulls him close, hugging him tightly, pressing him by the waist, and settling him on his lap.

Sunoo nuzzles his scent gland and runs his nose along it, greedily inhaling the aroma, filled with anxiety and sourness. And then something happens that neither of them expected. Sunoo's hot breath burns his skin, and along with it, his warm, wet tongue touches the scent gland. Riki tenses, hearing a moan full of sadness and obvious longing that makes his heart skip a beat. His head spins, and his lower abdomen twitches pleasantly from Sunoo's touch as he hugs him tighter and presses him closer. The older omega whines in response, desperately and heartbrokenly, his tongue darting more vigorously over Riki's scent gland. His touch is gentle but desperate, full of unspoken emotions. His minty-chocolate scent dances in the air, intertwining with Riki's strawberries and cream, mixing to create a scent no one else had ever encountered, yet so suffocatingly sweet.

"Hyung, what are you..." Riki tries to say, but the words die on his lips when Sunoo suddenly grinds his ass against his groin.

It's a dizzying sensation. He feels so good that sighs and gasps escape his lips. Riki thinks he'll pass out from what Sunoo is doing to him. His touches become more insistent, and now his teeth join his tongue—light nibbles and sucks on his skin. His own scent becomes sweeter, and the zipper of his jeans presses uncomfortably against his skin.

"You're so beautiful, so wonderful," Sunoo breathes, his voice husky and low, sending goosebumps down the younger omega's spine. "I want," he finally breaks away from his neck and looks up at him, and Riki is speechless at the sight of his best friend.

Sunoo's eyes are so dark and alluring, his pupils dilated, and his lips parted, wet and pink. He breathes heavily, his chest rising and falling in a chaotic rhythm. Riki's throat goes dry, and all thoughts vanish from his head. He can only stare blankly at Sunoo and blink in confusion. His mind is clouded by what's happening and the mixture of their scents.

"I want... no... I need you," is the last thing Riki hears before warm, soft lips touch his own.

He immediately gasps for air from the passion and feeling with which Sunoo kisses him. He feels these emotions, unspoken words, but most importantly, the pain. He responds to the kiss and the taste of his best friend, so sweet and cooling, permeating his saliva. And their combined scent settles in the air around them. Everything disappears, and only the two of them remain, kissing on Riki's bed. The younger omega's arms hold the older one tightly as they passionately kiss. The only sounds in the room are the sounds of kissing and their heavy breathing. Riki feels himself growing wet with arousal, the slick seeping through the fabric of his underwear, sticking unpleasantly to his skin. He's sure that Sunoo is just as aroused as he is. But he likes it. The very thought of it. Riki has never experienced anything like this from anyone else, except, of course, when watching pornography.

He should probably be ashamed of being aroused by the actions and scent of another omega, especially his best friend, but the desperate moans escaping Sunoo's lips as he writhes in his lap instantly make any embarrassment disappear. The older man slips his tongue between his parted lips, exploring his mouth and battling for dominance with Riki's. The younger man doesn't resist and gives in, becoming soft and pliant in Sunoo's arms. He loses himself in these sensations and the refreshing taste of mint and the bitterness of chocolate on his tongue, forgetting about the date, Sunghoon, or what the kiss might mean for his relationship with Sunoo and their friendship. But when his best friend tentatively moves his hips and their cocks rub against each other through the layers of clothing, he comes to his senses and, breathing heavily, breaks the kiss. Just then, a text message and a ringtone blares on his phone, ruining the magical moment. The date is just around the corner and time is running out.

Sunoo breathes heavily, looking at him with lips glistening with drool, but his eyes glow with arousal and desire. Then, at some point, his gaze clears, and fear replaces his previous feelings. He tries to slide off Riki's hips, but Riki holds him firmly in place, frowning.

"Hyung..." Riki addresses him, his voice slightly hoarse, and Sunoo tenses. "What's the meaning of all this?" The older man reflexively flinches at the question, though he'd expected it.

"N-nothing, Riki-yah," Sunoo shakes his head. "You have a date soon and you need to get ready," he changes the subject, and Riki becomes even more irritated, sighing heavily. "Look, your makeup is ruined, I need to touch it up," the omega tries to act as if nothing has happened, which only confuses Riki further.

"Hyung!" he says, a little louder. "I don't care about the date! It's the last thing on my mind right now," Riki exhales, trying to calm himself and keep his emotions in check. "I want to understand what that kiss meant? What did you mean when you said 'I need you'?"

Sunoo is silent, biting his lip and reaching for his makeup brush to fix what he's ruined. He doesn't know how to answer Riki's question. Or rather, he knows, but he's afraid he might ruin everything. If his feelings aren't reciprocated, their friendship will likely end, and that's the last thing Sunoo wants. It's easier to pretend and keep his feelings deep inside than to lose Riki forever. He's willing to let Riki date someone else just so he can stay close and spend time with him. Sunoo can love from afar, despite his desire to be closer.

"Hyung, please don't be silent," Riki begs him, trying to look him in the eye, but Sunoo avoids his gaze and looks past him.

Riki desperately wants to understand if he's misinterpreted Sunoo's actions. Did the kiss mean his feelings were mutual and he could confess? Or was Sunoo succumbing to the moment and kissing him just like that? But Riki is certain the latter is wrong. During the kiss, he felt Sunoo's emotions and the feelings he'd kept deep inside. That pain of unrequited love. But he wants to hear it from the oldest omega, not rely on his own assumptions.

Sunoo looks away, and Riki's heart feels like it's shattering in his chest. Apparently, the older omega doesn't want to talk or answer his questions, which hurts more than a refusal. He lowers his hands and no longer holds Sunoo on his hips, allowing him to rise calmly. The pleasant warmth and weight of his body disappear along with his scent, and everything inside Riki twists. He's in so much pain that he wants to scream and cry, to destroy everything around him, but he only clenches his fists and tries to blink back the tears threatening to spill. Why is Sunoo acting like this?

The older omega's heart bleeds, seeing how broken Riki looks. His eyes are watery, and it seems like he's about to cry. It's killing him inside, but he's so afraid. He's terrified to express his feelings, so he chooses to pretend nothing happened. And the next words come with titanic effort.

"Let's just forget about that kiss, okay?" Sunoo says, his voice shaking. "Let's pretend nothing happened." The older omega turns his back to him, and Riki can't believe what he's hearing.

His lips part to say something, but what? What can he do in this situation? Riki didn't notice the warm tears rolling down his cheeks, the first sob escaping his lips, and then he burst into tears, burying his face in his hands. His inner wolf felt rejected, and his chest ached so intensely he wanted to howl. To hell with the date, to hell with everything! The kiss had made him so happy, but Sunoo's words had destroyed everything he'd worked so hard to build. It was the older omega who had torn down the walls he'd built around his heart with his smile, warm embrace, care, and understanding.

"You're asking me to forget about it," Riki sobs, removing his hands from his face and wiping away tears with the back of his hand. "But I can't forget, hyung. How do you even imagine that?" the omega snorts, looking up at Sunoo, who's frozen with a pained expression on his face. "You talk about how much you need me, kiss me, and then you're asking me to just forget?!"

Now he's angry at the very situation they've found themselves in. And, to some extent, at Sunoo for treating him so cruelly.

"Yes!" Sunoo raises his voice in response. "Yes, I'm asking you to forget, because it will be easier!"

"Easier for whom, hyung?!" Riki interrupts, noticing that Sunoo is crying just as much as he is. "For you? For me? For who?!" The younger omega rises from the bed and approaches the older one, who cowers under his heavy gaze.

Sunoo clenches his fists and tries to come up with some plausible excuse, something that will help him spare his heart from pain, but nothing comes to mind. And when the sweet strawberry scent hits his nose, driving him crazy, it seems he can't say anything in response.

"You have nothing to say?" Riki chuckles, folding his arms over his chest and taking a deep breath. "What if I don't want to forget the kiss, hyung?" Sunoo looks at him, confused.

"What are you..."

"I don't want to forget, Sunoo-hyung," Riki whispers lowly, and his voice sends shivers down Sunoo's spine. "I don't want to pretend it doesn't matter because it does," Riki closes his eyes and shakes his head.

Sunoo's heart beat faster in his chest at the younger omega's words. The tension in his shoulders eased, and he straightened up, listening intently to Riki. He even bit his lip in anticipation of what the younger omega would say. If he didn't want to forget the kiss, then Sunoo wouldn't pretend it didn't happen.

"I want to talk and clear things up between us," he adds, and Sunoo closes his eyes, taking a deep breath, mentally preparing himself for the difficult conversation. However, a heart can never be prepared for rejection. It will break, no matter how hard it is.

"Okay, let's talk," Sunoo becomes serious, and a dangerous glint appears in his eyes, causing a lump to form in Riki's throat. "I don't want to ruin things between us with this kiss, and I apologize if my actions offended you or made you feel uncomfortable. That's why I asked you to forget about what happened."

"That's not true!" Riki interrupts, desperately wanting Sunoo to understand. "It's not like that, hyung. I didn't feel disgusted, and I kissed you back. I liked it, and I think you felt it yourself, too." His cheeks flushed, and Sunoo smirked back. "Just tell me... do you like me?"

That was the question he'd been wanting and afraid to hear.

"No, I don't like you," Sunoo shook his head, a bitter smile on his lips, and Riki's heart sank.

"Oh..." Riki's shoulders slumped, and tears filled his eyes again, but he blinked them away, trying not to show how much the rejection hurt. "I understand... I'm sorry, hyung... I shouldn't—"

"I love you, Riki," Sunoo interrupted, his words so confident that Riki was taken aback at first, unsure if he'd heard correctly.

"I... you... you love me?" "Riki asks again, blinking in confusion, and Sunoo smiles tenderly, stepping closer and cupping his face in his hands.

"Yes, that's right. I love you, Nishimura Riki," the older omega repeats, wiping the tears from Riki's eyes, which are streaming endlessly.

"Hyung," Riki whispers, tasting the salty taste of his own tears on his tongue. "I... I love you too," he confesses on an exhale, and Sunoo closes his eyes, taking a deep breath. "So-so much".

Riki's sweet, tart scent permeates his lungs, pushing Sunoo to another rash act he'll regret later. He rises up on his toes and kisses Riki, this time tenderly and confidently, and the younger boy responds, hugging him tightly and holding him close. The kiss quickly escalates from chaste and tender to passionate and forceful. Sunoo removes his lips and nibbles them, then pulls away, tugging at Riki's lower lip. He pushes the younger boy onto the bed and hovers over him, continuing to kiss him. Now his hands freely crawl under his white sweater and touch his heated skin, which tingles with his touch. Their passionate, greedy kisses leave drool dripping down his chin, and he's gasping for air. It feels like Sunoo is sucking his soul dry with his lips, but Riki would gladly give it all to him.

His hands grip Riki's sculpted waist, stroking the skin with his thumbs. Riki moans into the kiss, and Sunoo smirks. His heart pounds wildly in his chest as the older boy breaks away from his lips and moves lower to his neck and scent gland, tracing it again with his tongue.

"Mine," he growls before kissing the sensitive spot, then looks up at Riki, something wild blooming inside him.

He won't let anyone else see what the younger boy looks like. No one deserves to see Riki like this. His full lips are flushed and glistening with saliva, slightly parted from how heavily he breathes. The lip gloss is smudged and the eyeliner is smeared with tears, but in Sunoo's eyes, he's the most passionate and sexy thing he's ever seen.

"Please don't go," Riki whispers, his voice trembling. How could Sunoo refuse him?

"I wouldn't even think about it," he says, before pressing his lips to hers again, drawing Riki into another kiss.

Timid touches give way to more insistent and skillful ones, their lips and hands exploring each other's bodies as they give themselves completely to each other. Moans and kisses fill the room, and the date is long forgotten. For now, nothing exists for them except the two of them.

The next day, they will walk into the university holding hands with happy smiles, and their friends will tease them, genuinely happy for them. Riki apologizes to Sunghoon, but he doesn't even bat an eyelash. However, one glance from Sunoo is enough for him to reassure Riki with a smile that nothing serious has happened. And if Sunoo catches Park Sunghoon in the hallway and tells him not to approach Riki, it will remain between them. No one will know it was all Sunghoon's plan all along. To bring those two together.

Extra.

Admiring sighs and gasps fill the hallway, and the omegas practically melt into puddles at how beautiful the two alphas passing by are. Unfortunately for them, they aren't interested in either of the university's omegas, despite their single status. They are deeply immersed in their own conversation, oblivious to the omegas batting their eyelashes, trying to attract their attention, or the sweet scent wafting through the hallway, trying to attract them.

"Are you seriously planning on pulling this off? "The alpha clarifies, and the dark-haired alpha next to him nods with the smug grin of someone who's hatched a brilliant plan. "Oh my god," the slightly shorter alpha laughs.
