Love is a precious thing. It's something pure and whole and absolutely beautiful. It's something rare and unique like one of the many stars in our universe. And yet... people hate it. They scream names and slurs like loving the same sex is villainous and vile. Not identifying with the gender that you didn’t choose, makes you a monster. But... why? How can love and self-representation be a sin. something unholy. people look so happy when they are free to be themselves so why are we looked down on. Why is it acceptable to hate love and expression. To hate people.
Rainbow flags grace the streets and people around the world celebrate love and hope. They celebrate for themselves and those who are unable to. shinning a light into what seems to be a never ending sea of hopelessness reminding all that love is worth fighting for and that you are valid no matter how you identify or who you love. If you have been misgendered whether on purpose or by accident or have faced hate for love you have a big amazing community ready to support you. Who accepts and loves you.
