Summary
Ilya would never change anything that happen to him in the last two years of his life, he would take the pain, the heart break, the bruises and the fights if it meant him having Misha. Misha was simply his whole universe. At two years old, Misha had been through a lot, seen things no baby should ever have to, and Ilya is doing his best. He works at a skating rink whilst Misha is at nursery and one day he meets Shane Hollander - Shane is going through his own troubles, all his life all he's ever wanted to do was skate. But realising the world is not ready for an openly gay hockey player his mother forces him to get out of the house and sets up an under 5's skating club.
From their first meeting Misha responds so well to Shane and with everyone around them insisting Shane and Ilya would be good for each other, Ilya can't help but feel like the universe is finally doing something nice for him. Until of course, it doesn't.
