Chapter Text
A knock, it announced itself thrice. Usually it’d end at the knocks and offer its deliveries, but then came the creak within the foyer…
The apartment door opened on its own, really. Well, no. Somebody has figured out where Emmet hides his spare keys! This is quite treacherous. Now why would anyone trespass into the Subway Boss’s residence?
Unless of course, malicious intentions…
Worrisome, this is verrrry concerning. Yup!
Emmet stood from his couch, the corridor to the entrance visible from his station. In his left hand held his eelektross. Readying to summon his companion in defense of the intruder.
Of course, he could simply call the Unovan-emergency lines to sort this perilous case more prudently… but, with all due-respect, it is quite unreliable.
Emmet was all tensed up now as more seconds passed from the initial creak. His thoughts ran rampant from the rails. This is Unova — what if the intruder were to own a gun- actively had one on themself?... Right now?
This is quite bothersome. He doesn’t have any firearms, only his pokemon team. Prrrretty sure a pokemon can't out-react the speed of a bullet.
… How would Ingo deal with this situation?
Don’t know! Ingo probably has never experienced being in such position before — hopefully not. Well maybe. Maybe this is how his big-brother left; succumbed, with nothing to validate his existence...
This is bad.
Twelve seconds have passed.
!.. Finally, the first footstep arrived, then the second... The third... The fourth... Louder at each count.
Eeleektross spawned in with the light at the rhythm of the third step. It idiotically gawked at whatever the hell was approaching from the hallway right now in this instant.
Gosh reshiram's flaming ass hair! Maybe he should’ve hidden it himself instead of where Ingo last placed it: wedged between the door frame and wall ontop. Hm. Maybe this is Ingo's fault. Ahahaha...
Well heck he's not entirely innocent either — he also should’ve replaced the rotom-doorbell’s batteries!... Could’ve at least been aware of when or and who was infront of his apartment and searching for his keys. Well, Ingo also could've replaced the batteries if- uugh.
The consequences are here! The lack of care for security-checks has led to this! This is verrrrry horrid. Was too occupied with grief to forestall his own fate...
The final step’s soon to be… Emmet shuddered in fear, despite being a Subway Boss. Well, anyone would be afraid of guns.
Eelektross clinged onto his white pants, looking up at him with teary eyes. It seems to resonate with its trainer.
The foreign-leg extended forward, the intruder’s shoes were finally reached within the duo's vision.
...huh?
Ingo?
Emmet gaped. Eelektross gaping harder. Chandelure jingled her arms. Wait, where'd chandelure come from? The hell is it doing? Whatever man…
