Summary
Eddie crumples the paper into a ball again before stepping out onto his balcony and throwing it as hard as he can.
Unfortunately—or perhaps very fortunately—the glass door of the house across from him slides open at that exact moment. The paper ball smacks directly into the face of the guy who steps through the curtain.
He freezes. The other guy freezes too.
They stare at each other for a long moment. The guy across from him is tall and broad-shouldered, with dark blond hair curling slightly at the ends. There’s a scar—a scar?
Whatever.
“Oh. It’s you.” The deep voice carries easily across the gap between their balconies—louder than it should be given the distance.
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“You’re the one who left that note on my front door.”
