Chapter Text

Kyoya has the same dream every night, or atleast for the last few days, but he never remembers it clearly. And it always confuses him, no matter how many times it happens. He got into bed tonight expecting the same lucid dream, the same colorful landscape that surrounded him each time, covered in stars and meteors somewhere in space, and the clouds that somehow got there. It's foolish, yes, but it's somewhat beautiful.

Kyoya drifted off, and soon he was there, in the same place he was every night in his mind. He had no clue he could be so imaginative. It looked like an oil spill, with all the spreading colors. He noticed that he was... there. It was a LUCID dream. And it felt more psychedelic than if he weren't lucid dreaming. He could see the sea of stars and clusters all over, but he didn't fall. It was like an ocean under his feet. And he was walking on transparent water.

"Who would have known

A beauty this immense?

Who would have known

A saintly trance?"

He saw a glowing figure infront of him, a bright, warm yellowish light illuminating the dark room. Kyoya should've probably walked away, but it beckoned him near, an irresistible call that made no noise. He walked over, a wave of anxiety filling his chest, even if it was just a dream. As he got closer, he could make out the appearance of silky, pearly white wings, a large, cedar harp, and hair that shone like polished gold in its own light. Tamaki. Tamaki with a glowing halo that looked like the sun. Tamaki with a gorgeous, silky gown as long as it could be. Tamaki. An angel.

He turned his head over and noticed Kyoya, giving him a warm smile."Want to join me?" He questioned, his eyes never losing their warmth. Kyoya could do nothing but nod, unable to say no to the beautiful man infront of him. Tamaki was gorgeous, and his name fit so well, 'Suoh Tamaki', it sounded like an angel's name—no wonder he's an angel here. Kyoya sat on his lap, and Tamaki hummed in approval. Then he hummed a gentle song, and Kyoya felt like he could fall asleep. Well, that would mean the dream would end. He wouldn't want that to ever happen. So he kept himself awake, letting Tamaki pet his hair instead of playing his harp, the soft humming from Tamaki already being a pleasing song.

"Who would have known

That a boy like him

Possessed of magical

Sensitivity?"

Tamaki leaned in, kissing Kyoya on his mouth, his lips softer than a pillow. Kyoya let out a soft whimper before leaning into the kiss, letting Tamaki kiss him, then breaking the kiss to trail it down his neck, each kiss a soft blessing to his skin, sparking his nerves with every touch, the warmth pouring into his veins. Tamaki looked at him, his eyes warm. "I love you." Said Tamaki, his voice scorchingly warm. "You're just saying things-" "I love you."

Tamaki repeated, making sure to emphasize the last part. Kyoya sniffled, and then the tears came out of him in a large stream, soaking Tamaki's gown. Before Tamaki could speak, Kyoya whispered to him, "I love you too..." before crawling closer into his arms.  Even if this was a dream, it was his most pathetic one ever. But he wouldn't leave this, not by choice, atleast. "Tamaki.. I love you so damn much." Kyoya whimpered, choking on another sob. "Ah.. language, sweetheart."  Tamaki teased, kissing Kyoya on the head after, letting out a soft giggle after. "I love you more, mon lapin," Tamaki said, before landing another kiss on the top of Kyoya's head.

"Who would have known

That a boy like him

After sharing my core

Would stay going nowhere?"

Then it stopped. Full-stop. He was in bed. Tamaki was gone, the warm embrace was long gone, and his warmth was a thousand miles away. Kyoya wiped his eyes, looking around for Tamaki because it felt so real, then sighed. He's too old for dreams and fairy tales.

Maybe that's why Tamaki was like something straight out of a fairy tale. Just another foolish dream.
