Summary
Kim wondered how the game, which had started off fairly innocently, had gotten so twisted. They used to play with Khun and Kinn, games like any other child. Tag. Red Rover. Hide and Seek. But as they got older, Khun and Kinn got too old, and Macau was still too small. Kim and Vegas, who were roughly the same age, seemed to be the only ones interested in continuing.
As they were more exposed to the family business, and as puberty and hormones started to kick in, the game began to change. It became darker, more violent. They never caused any permanent damage, and they never carried any hard feelings, either. It was just part of the game. The game that Kim clung to, even at the age of eighteen, because it made him feel alive. It was the closest he got to organizing the jumbled and confusing feelings inside his brain that screamed at him that he was different. Other.
At least Vegas seemed to understand him, and what he needed. He had kept the game going, after all.
