Work Text:
Some days were just like this.
It didn’t matter that they were on top. Nothing was good enough for either of them without their final say, which had them working at night when even Velvette would have liked to be asleep. Sure, she teased Vox as much as Valentino did about him pulling all-nighters, but she had to do it too at times.
On one side of the couch were her purple popups. All the data she needed from the socmed promotional announcements of this quarter, the finalized proposed changes, and what she would approve to go live before the end of the night. On the other side were Vox’s light blue projections. Similar data about very different projects—but all which needed to be approved by the end of the night.
No one else could be trusted with this.
Vox took a gulp of coffee. Velvette sipped at her tea. She was tired, but not tired enough to make a mistake. Vox was tired, but his reaction time hadn’t slowed at all.
Maybe it would have if she wasn’t on the other end of the couch. Like how her eyes might shut if he wasn’t there.
Together, they worked.
