April 2016. It has been almost four years since everything went… well. To Shit.
They say, when your personal life goes up in smoke it’s time for a promotion, but when Caroline and Cassidy die in a car crash Miranda’s life simply falls apart. She starts smoking again, after she had quit just when she learned, that she was pregnant with the twins. Then she quits a second time, only to pick it up again. She works herself into the ground, before seeking professional help. From the beginning of January 2013 she becomes a regular in Dr. Sachs’s practice – at first thrice a week, slowly fighting herself back to life. This short story is set several years after the twins tragic death, when Miranda finally decides to sell the townhouse, and with it a place too full of memories to be habitable.
