“Players, welcome to the fourth game.” A voice rang out from the microphone.
There were groups of players in a white room. They were all wearing green jumpsuits, all of them having different assigned numbers.
“For this game, you will be playing in teams of two.” That same voice rang out once again.
“Please look around and find someone you wish to play with.”
“When two people agree to play together, shake hands to show you have become partners.”
“Let me repeat the instructions.”
“For this game, you will be playing in teams of two.”
Some players started looking around nervously,
“Please look around and find someone you wish to play with.”

“There can only be two players per team.”
“You will have ten minutes to find your partner.”

“Charles~” Shidou said while running over to the boy.
”Shidou!!” Charles cheered.
”Wanna team up? I was gonna team up with Sae but he left me for his stupid brother..”
”Yes!! I was gonna team up with Niko but he said he didn’t want to team up with someone close to him, something he heard from 456 or something.”
”Oh, Isagi? I’m pretty sure that dudes making it all up.”
”Yeah! I know rightt?”
Shidou and charles shake hands, they smile at each other while doing so.

All the players stand by each other infront of the guards, they’re all standing by their partner also.
“All players, please follow the staff to your designated positions for the game.”
A guard walked up to Shidou and Charles and then shortly after started walking away, expecting them to follow.
”Damn, not even a hi?” Shidou snickers, Charles laughs at that.
They start walking behind the guard.
They walk through all the houses and buildings.
”Is this a neighborhood?” Charles asks the guard,
”He’s probably not gonna answer..” Shidou deadpans
”Wait how do you know they’re a man”
”..Wait are you a girl? I’m really not judging I just don’t wanna misgender you, y’know?” Shidou asks the guard a little nervously.
”C’mon.. i’m about to get cancelled can’t you atleast say something?”
The guard finally stops walking as they made it to their destination.
There was a staircase behind them with houses nearby and some plants.
“Players, please take one bag each from the staff member in-front of you.”
The guard holds out a bag of marbles in each of their hands.
Shidou and charles quickly take them.
”what the fuck are we gonna do with these?” Shidou asks boredly.
“There should be a set of ten marbles in each bag.” The voice echos out again.
”Please check to confirm the number.”
Shidou and charles open their bags while eyeing each other suspiciously.
Charles and shidou pour their marbles into their own hands.
“I still don’t get it..” Charles says, “what are we supposed to do with these?”
”Ughhhh i don’t know char-man!!” Shidou groans.
“Whatever it is we’ll win it together!!” Charles exclaims.
”Hell yeah!!”
Shidou ruffles his hair.

“In this game, using your set of ten marbles, you will play the game of your choice with your partner.”
“The player who manages to take all ten marbles from their partner win.”
The smirk instantly disappears from Shidou’s face.
Same as Charles, now looking up at Shidou nervously.
“Let me repeat the instructions..” The voice faded i to the background for them.
”Oh.” Charles says.
”Yeah.. oh.”
“Haa. maybe i should have listened to Niko after all..” Charles says grimly.
“No..no..no its okay.” Shidou goes to hug charles.
”OKAY? ONE OF US IS GOING TO DIE SHIDOU.”
”I know..”
”You will have 30 minutes for this game.”
”30 minutes, huh?” Shidou mumurs.
”Let’s sit down.” Shidou says.
”Why? Whats the point.” Charles says stubbornly.
”Let’s talk before one of us has to die.. i wanna know about you before one of us has to go.” Shidou explains.
”Oh. Yeah, that sounds.. nice. I guess…” Charles says, more calm now.
They both sit down against a wall. The wall had spray painting all over it, it looked cool. At least that was what charles thought.
”So…” Charles starts.
“Uhhh whats your favorite color?”
Charles laughs a bit, “Thats your first question?”
”Bro we’re about to die” Shidou deadpans.
”Oh! Yeah, i highkey forgot about that..” Charles says, rubbing the back of his neck nervously.
Shidou laughs at him
“Y’know..” Shidou starts.
”I feel like you’re one of my only real friends..” Shidou says
Charles’ eyes widen but he stays silent
”I mean i guess i talk to a lot of people but none of them are really my friends. None of them are really there for me like i’m there for them y’know..?”
Charles stays quiet as he listens to his bestfriend talk.
“Yeah, i know. You’re my only friend too.. well besides ikki and .. maybe kurona? Idk.. i wanna consider rinrin my friend but i don’t think he likes me all that much..” Charles says sadly.
Shidou laughs under his breath, “Well at least we have each other right!!?”
Charles stays silent.
Oh.
”Oh. Right, sorry.” Shidou says, forgetting what situation they’re in.
“I really wish we could’ve knew eachother more charboy.”
Shidou pulls out a bracelet from his pocket.
”Give this to sae for me, will you?” Shidou says.
”W-what? Give it to him, yourself!”
”Ah, sorry but Loki would kill me if you died so..”
Charles lowers his head as tears roll down his cheek.
Shidou takes his hand and puts the bracelet in it, then closes charles’ hand for him. Shidou wraps both his hands around charles’ hand.
”Tell him i love him, okay?” Shidou says, his voice shaking as he looks at charles. He tries not to let his tears fall for Charles.
”S-shidou.. please don’t go.”
”i’m sorry. I love you man, go win that million dollars and take it back to your family and win yourself a world cup. Get out of here with Niko, even.” Shidou says grimly.
”N-no, i don’t want to win if it’s not with you, please, Shidou, i don’t want you too die..” Charles is almost having a full blown breakdown panic attack.
Shidou pulls him into a hug. He wraps his hand over Charles head, drifting his fingers through Charles’ hair, trying to calm him down.
”It’s okay.. it’s okay.” Shidou says quietly to him.
”You’re gonna be okay.”
”But you’re not!”
”I know.”
Shidou gently lets go of charles.
He places his bag of marbles in Charles’ hand. Charles cries even more.
”Charboy, win for me okay?”
Shidou then got up and walked up toward the guard.
The guard nods before taking his gun out.
Charles gets up, trying to accept that this is really happening.
”Charboy, i love—“
Before shidou could finish his sentence the guard shot him.
Charles clutched the bracelet in his hand, and then fell to his knees sobbing.
”SHIDOU—“ he kept crying and crying.
