This is a Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba AU that takes place in present time. Forgive me for any inaccuracies as I, myself, am not Japanese and do not live in Japan. This work may include grammatical errors or spelling mistakes, so my apologies if it does — most of my work is done at night where I am far too tired to check.
As for the AU itself, if you know me on tiktok (scarred.snake), you may hear me mention my 'ViVi AU'. This means Virtues to Vices. It takes a trait of a character and heightens it to such an extent that it becomes the character's main flaw. However, not every trait heightened was a positive one to begin with.
For example, Obanai's observation skills are heightened to become hyperawareness, which leads to exhaustion, anxiety, and the bottling up of feelings.
Considering character's personalities are altered, they will most definitely not act the same way, but I will try to make it as close to canon as possible while also including my own ships. This work will feature multiships.
