When I was halfway through college, I thought I’d found my true love. Maybe I was right, but the other didn’t want to accept it.
I had been talking with Ashley, about various things—She was the first friend I made in college. Everyone just brushed me off, thinking I couldn’t speak English properly. What, why would I even go to an American university if I didn’t?… Ashley suddenly stopped talking as she spotted somebody. Ashley then waved her hand. “Hey! Leon!” She yelled out. I turned my head, and saw a man with dirty blonde hair. Was that the Leon she was always talking about? He looked real pretty… Leon came closer, and sat down with us. “Hey, guys. I guess I could sit down with you two for a bit.” Leon said, grinning. “What were you gonna do?” Ashley asked, straightening her posture, adjusting her hair and clothes. “I was actually gonna go to the gym real quick, but I figure that can wait.” He replied. Ashley smiled real wide. “Aww, thank you for setting some of your time aside for me- Us! I was just thinking about hanging out with you today!” I just looked awkwardly at the two of them. This girl does seriously have a big crush on Leon, but who wouldn’t…He looks so attractive. Vaya tela...!
“Hey, uhh…Luis, is it? Thats your name, right?” Leon spoke, looking towards me. I nodded shyly. “Yeah, Ashley talks about you, she says you’re real funny.” Leon adds. “Well, Im not that funny…” I reply, shaking my head. He's talking to me! “Nice to meet you, Luis.” Leon reaches a hand out for a handshake. Luis shakes his hand, smiling. His hands are so soft… “Whats your major?” Leon asked. “Biology. I know, I don’t look like the type, but I do study it.” I replied, looking into his eyes for a bit too long before looking away. Ashley was staring me down, and I had a feeling I knew why. “Hey, Im having a hangout at my apartment next week. Do you want to come?” Leon said. I nodded again, “Yeah, that would be great, actually!” Ashley spoke up, “Can I come too?” Ashley asked. Leon scratched his head, “Sorry, it’s kinda a bro thing, you know?” Ashley just nodded her head. “I’ll text you when it’s time, Ashley can send me your number.” Leon spoke. “That works.” I mumbled.
I think he might be the one! Gosh! I was thinking about him all night, for some reason. Maybe some not so innocent thoughts about him popped into my head, too. But I couldn’t help it…
