Chapter Text
“Where is my phone??!!” Taehyung shouted (in a low voice) as he entered the library he was at earlier.
“Are you sure you did not leave it at home?”, Jimin asked because Taehyung was never the type to carry his phone around. If he wanted something, he would always be at the door step.
“No, I brought it with me this morning.” He was very sure of it because he had taken some pictures of Namjoon’s notes and was copying them in the library.
“You never bring out your phone and when you do, you lose it completely”, Jimin said, slightly laughing at his friend’s panic state.
“Jimin, HELP! My mom will kill me!”
“Ok ok. Any other place you were at after the library?”, Jimin asked.
“I went to 7/11 at the corner but I am very sure it must be somewhere around here!” Taehyung said, walking towards the spot he sat at.
“Can you try calling?”, Taehyung looked at Jimin.
He had arched his eye brow. “Seriously? In the library? The librarian will kill us both!”
“Ah that’s true”, the library was still full of students not wanting to be disturbed while they studied.
“Tae, you look here. I will check in 7/11. Just call me if you find it ok?”
Taehyung nodded and his friends was off.
Taehyung walked around the book shelves looking in every nook and cranny and when he was finally ready to give up, he heard a familiar sound.
It was his ring tone. Not really loud for students and the librarian to hear but it was still audible.
He walked to the direction of the sound and he saw his phone stacked in between two huge books.
The phone was still buzzing so he immediately pressed the “Answer” button without even looking at the screen.
“Jimin”, He whispered. “I found it! Thanks man!”
“Thank god you found it. I thought it was a mistake hiding it there”
Taehyung froze. That wasn’t Jimin. He brought his phone down and looked at the display name. It was saved as “Ghost”. Taehyung swallowed before putting his phone back on his ear.
“Hello? Are you still there, Taehyung?”
“Hi, May I know who this is?”, he asked.
“You don’t have to know who I am. Just call me Ghost”
Taehyung furrowed his brows as he heard the man giggling a little from the other line. He quickly hung up. He was never the type to talk to anyone on phones.
Thinking it was best he ignored whoever that person was, Taehyung scrolled through his phone to look for Jimin’s number but all the contacts had been deleted and the only name he could see there was the “Ghost”.
Gritting his teeth in anger, he called the Ghost back.
“Never thought I would get a call from you” he teased. “I am honoured.”
“What happened to my contacts? Did you delete them?”, Taehyung hissed but not so loudly, considering the place he was at.
“Oh yeah. They are not important!”, the man said. “As long as they want to talk to you or hang out with you, they will always call you”
“But that doesn’t give you the right to delete them!”, Taehyung said. He was very irritated at whoever this person was.
“You just have to know that if they call you, they care about you—“
Taehyung hung up. He didn’t want to do anything with that person. He went back to his contacts and deleted the last contact on his phone. Ghost.
Sighing, Taehyung went out of the library to meet Jimin and when he was out, his phone rang again. This time, it was only numbers. Taehyung prayed it wasn’t that guy again.
“Hello?”, he answered.
“Taehyung? You found it!”, it was Jimin.
“Ah Jimin, yeah I did. I was about to call you!”, he lied. He didn’t even know Jimin’s number.
“Anyways, I am still at 7/11. I will wait here, alright?”
Taehyung, feeling relieved, quickly saved Jimin’s number on his phone and hopped happily on his way to the store.
What he didn’t notice was the guy who was a meter away from him. Smiling.
