Summary
The voyage to Erid takes years. The astrophage crisis is over, the impossible mission is solved, Grace and Rocky are no longer fighting for survival. There are no immediate problems that need saving and this creates the problem of silence. Without crises, disasters, or puzzles, they're left only with themselves, memory, grief, and everything they’ve lost.
Grace tells Rocky about cold wind on warm skin, Halloween costumes, watching drifting clouds, and more. Rocky tells grace about life on Erid, family bonds, ancient songs, and geological wonders.
