Summary
A marine researcher comes home from an expedition with more questions than answers, and something he absolutely cannot explain. What he finds waiting for him isn’t a myth, or a hallucination, or even something he was prepared to classify. It’s a stranger who doesn’t have a name, doesn’t understand human life, and seems to be learning everything about the world for the very first time.
Slowly, Beomgyu’s carefully ordered life gets interrupted by someone who doesn’t understand boundaries, language rules, or why people cry at movies… but who learns quickly, watches closely, and trusts even faster. And the more time they spend together, the harder it becomes to tell who is teaching who.
As Beomgyu gets pulled deeper into questions he never meant to ask, something older than curiosity begins to surface beneath it all. Because whatever found him in the water didn’t just survive.
It followed him home. And now it’s learning what it means to stay.
