Work Text:
Pirate Damian x Fairy Marinette
(TW: Some violence/unsettling actions mentioned)
"You!? How dare you lay your nasty hands on me!" She snarked out, in contrast with her soft voice, like bells jingling, as she tried to escape from capture.
The person merely looked down at her, who's in his grasp and he held it even tighter to challenge her words, smirking in joy, "Well, these 'nasty hands' captured you, helpless little damsel in distress." He cooed.
While the girl who's squeezed tightly by him merely glared at him, "Adrien will save me. Just so you wait!"
The man smiled that brought chills down her spine, "He left you with me, didn't he? Alas, I do await him regardless if he decides to come."
Her mouth opened and closed, no voice coming out, because he was right.
Adrien did leave her with him.
As the pair descended down the stairs.
Soon enough, they come face to face with a door which he opened.
It was his room!
The space was huge.
The interior was decorated nicely and classically.
Filled with treasures she'd never seen before.
It's the polar opposite of what Adrien's place looked like.
This felt, perhaps luxurious, neat and well put...
While Adrien's...He was more on the messier and mashed up together, a burst of things and color.
Truthfully, she hadn't expected such a tidy room coming from him where his henchmen are disorderly.
He walked across the room, his long strides swiftly brought them to his desk.
Where he had somewhat already placed a golden bird cage.
He opened the latch then opened his hands, as she fell onto the base then hurriedly locked the cage once more.
The boy's sharp leafy green eyes locked onto hers' as if a predator watching its prey through the golden bars.
Now, she was officially locked inside a bird cage.
How humiliating.
She was never treated this way with Adrien.
Back there, she even had her own place and Adrien would humor her, doing anything she wants!
Getting whatever things she wanted or humor her boredom.
She frowned because the more she thought of it, the more she missed it.
Perhaps she has to re-account how it all happened...
~
It was the same as usual Adrien and her were flying through the Island and ended up at Mermaid's Groove.
Where Adrien and her were playing around with their mermaid pals.
But then one of the creatures informed them of the infamous Captain Hook incoming.
Everyone fled as only her and Adrien remained.
She had asked him whether they should leave too, to avoid the inevitable conflict.
But he had waved her off, stating that she shouldn't worry, he'll be able to deal with him.
She should provide him with support.
Of course she trusted him fully, Adrien, even if he may appear care-free and cheerful, he's quite smart and skilled.
Based on previous conflicts with the infamous Captain, he'd always have success.
As the pirate sheep halted on the mermaid's groove and the crew tried to search for any mermaids.
Unfortunately, the few left mermaids were captured.
Ever the good person, Adrien decided to help the caught mermaids.
Adrien flew on top of the ship's deck and naturally, she too stayed near him.
The lackeys were trying to pry their hands onto the mermaids, Adrien intervened as he flew towards them and pushed them away, protecting the mermaids inside the fishing net.
She watched from afar, decided that she would stray near him, in fear of her getting caught up in battle.
Unknowingly for her, who wasn't paying attention towards her surroundings as her eyes were stuck onto the blonde hair's figure.
There was another person approaching her side and without her noticing, swopped in for her.
She was taken aback at the sudden movement and tried to flee, to realize that her wings and body couldn't move.
Her eyes landed onto the figure towering over her, their eyes met, ocean blue and grassy green eyes clashed.
Her eyes widened at his sight.
She wondered why there was no sight of him from the beginning...
The main villain of the story finally appeared.
Captain Hook, or his real name, Damian Wayne.
Dark black hair and deep green eyes, tan skin.
With his elaborate dark green outfit.
Ruffled white dress shirt, dark brown long tight pants covered by a long sleeved ornament dark green coat paired with pointy black shoes and topped off with a huge musketeers hat with a huge red feather.
His overall look is contrasting with Adrien's.
He has golden locks and bright green eyes, fair light skin and rosy lips. He's good-looking because everyone admires him, even the mermaids, whose beauty is unrivaled, are amazed by Adrien's looks.
He wore a simple bright green outfit.
Light green shirt with matching green long pants, pointy green shoes and top off the same colored green pointy hat, with a single medium sized golden feather and a simple brown belt.
She narrowed her eyes in thoughts until the man himself broke her out of her reverie, "I caught your fairy, Wonder Boy!"
He announced loudly as his underlings cheered in joy while Adrien's eyes finally landed on her trapped figure.
"Marinette!" He exclaimed in horror.
As he was about to come to her side, he felt a tug on his boots.
He turned to look at the few mermaids, who were weak and giving him pleading looks, desperate for him to save them.
Adrien looked between Marinette in Damian's grasp and the few mermaids captured in the net helplessly as the Captain's subordinates surrounded them.
In the end he sighed and shot an apologetic look towards Marinette, "I'm sorry Marinette! I'm going to rescue you soon! Await my return!"
As Adrien slashed the fishing net where the mermaids were captured and lent a helping hand for their mermaids to escape back onto the ocean.
When the last mermaid left, Adrien instantly flew away, not sparing her a single glance back.
She was left in the hands of the infamous captain.
That was basically what happened...
She had hoped it was a nightmare, that the fact she was captured by the enemy was false, a dream.
But when she was rudely awakened by heavy shaking, her eyes opened as bright light entered her vision.
She was greeted by his sitting figure on the desk.
His green eyes stared back at her.
His head on his hands as his elbow rests on the table.
She wiped her bleary eyes of sleep.
"You finally awoke sleeping beauty," He sarcastically remarked as he tilted his head.
It was the first time she saw him so...undressed?
He didn't use his coat, nor his hat.
Only his ruffled white dress shirt and messy black hair.
It seemed he just got out of bed too.
Alas, the fact that she was captured by the villain is her reality.
She couldn't just helplessly look at her own fate at his cruel hands.
"It's practically the afternoon by now."
She narrowed her eyes, "You look as if you just awakened too, how unkempt you are!"
He smirked, amused at how defiant the little girl could be.
Honestly, to him, it was rather cute how rudely she acted towards him, considering that he could crush her with just a single hand.
When he was holding her in his hand yesterday, it felt as if with too much force, she could break.
He was curious on how much strength she could handle from him.
Alongside what her powers are that made her so sought after by Adrien.
But at the same time, he pitied her as she was left by her dear companion in the hands of him, the villain.
"Well, I have a lot of things to deal with unlike someone. I've been awake since dark, even before the sun is on the horizon." He mused, as he held up a few of his paperwork.
In fact, on closer inspection, his table was filled with papers everywhere.
Was he actually working? Her eyes widened in disbelief.
She truly can't believe that someone like him actually does work, especially paperwork.
It's unexpected.
"You actually do paperwork..?" She muttered in disbelief.
He raised an eyebrow, "Of course, do you think running a ship and being a Captain is that easy? I've been swamped with work ever since I started."
She was truly taken aback.
He crossed his arms, "I've been working day and night. Swamped with work, from the starting and ending dark sky, seeing the sun is a luxury."
Huh...She really hadn't expected it to come from him.
She had thought that perhaps he'd been fooling around doing y'know, evil things?
The infamous Captain actually did a lot of paperworks was definitely something new in her books.
He tilted his head as a knowing sinister grin slowly widened, "Did you think I fool around everyday?"
She swiftly shook her head, scared that he might do something, "Of course not, I just didn't expect this? In your line of work..."
He laughed out loud, one that sounded rather genuine from all the creepy ones he had shown her, a deep bellowing chuckle..It sounded rather nice..
Then he crossed his arms, once his laughter died out, "I'm no ordinary pirate. My scale is big, which is why I can afford this ship."
Suddenly he stood up, stumbling on the table and naturally her cage also shook and she stumbled around the cage.
His figure disappeared as soon as the door closed shut.
She was left alone in the room.
She studied the room, looking for an escape route.
There was a window near the desk and on the left wall was the bed but both are closed.
On the opposite wall in the corner there are a few doors that lead to somewhere.
The door that leads outside on the far end straight ahead from the desk so she could possibly pass through there.
That's probably the only way out.
Alas, if only the cage was bigger in terms of the gaps between the bars.
Its gaps could only fit her hand reaching out. Her body is too big.
Perhaps if she starved herself...Could she fit herself out?
But before she could survey further, the door clicked open.
The Captain has returned.
He sat back down calmly.
Then he set a platter in front of her.
It was filled with an assortment of foods.
Meat, vegetable, fruit.
"What do you eat?" He questioned as he took a slice of meat from the platter of food.
She narrowed her eyes at him as blood from the meat ran down his chin, "Vegetables and Fruits, berries mainly."
He calmly wiped the dripping red stain with a napkin.
He actually has decent table manners which is unexpected.
The fact that he cut the meat and how he held his utensils..It was actually elegant.
"So you don't eat meat? To be expected.." He muttered thoughtfully while she nodded.
He carefully scooped up some berries and greens and reached towards the latch but stopped mere inches away from it, his eyes glinting sharply at her, "If you dare to escape..I don't know what I will do with you..."
The unnerving stare made her freeze in her spot, it was scary.
He then slowly reached out onto the latch and opened it.
She swiftly took the chance to zoom out.
She had to take all the chances she got.
Fairies naturally have fast reflexes, so to the ordinary human, nobody could compare to her speed.
Before she could even leave the desk, her body was pulled back.
Unfortunately for her, Damian wasn't an ordinary human.
Damian sighed out loud, "Ever the opportunist, huh?"
As he tightened his grasp on her.
She couldn't breathe.
She started to grasp for air as he stared at her.
His eyes glinted coldly and his smile was plastered yet never reached his eyes.
It was unnerving.
But she couldn't care less when she is deprived of air.
Her vision started to fade as black spots appeared.
She coughed and grasped for air but he was unrelenting.
"I told you, don't try anything funny." He shook his head in disappointment.
Before her vision faded, he dropped her into her cage.
She coughed and greedily breathed in plenty of air, her body filling it back.
As he locked the latch.
Beside her was the food he had prepared but now it's a mess since he seemed to drop it hurriedly to catch her fleeing.
He then continued to eat his food while his eyes lingered and bore onto her, watching her every move.
She felt pressured and uncomfortable but what can she do as a prisoner?
After her near death encounter where she almost killed and choked her to death.
She feared what he truly might do if he was angry.
The pair ate in a tense silence.
As she quietly munched on the food while his fork and knife clattered and made a screeching sound everything it came in contact with the plate.
It was a horrible sound, the screeches. But she doesn't dare to voice out his discomfort.
Damian knew that when the screeching sound resounded she'd flinch.
It is a terrible sound but...
He likes to see her shrink away, it brought some sort of amusement.
After they finish their meal...
The tense silence continued as he moved her focus elsewhere, specifically towards the stack of papers on his desk.
The silence was only broken by the scribbles of the feathered pen he wrote in.
But once in a while, the man's eyes would glance at her, looking at her as a hawk watching its prey.
She remained put in the cage. Looking around the surroundings as her wings flapped lightly.
Time passed and soon enough, the sun turned orange...
He finally stops scribbling and turns to look at her fully.
His eyes met hers as he tipped his chair backwards, "So now, tell me what can you do, little fairy?"
Ah, what was she expecting? He was a bad person through and through.
He tapped his fingers against the armrest in her silence, "I'm waiting.."
His eyes stared at her as if he urged or perhaps forced her to answer. In his green depth orbs, there was perhaps a slight glint of red that shined through, giving an eerie look onto him. Or is it a light or reflection mistake? She doesn't know but it chilled her to the bone.
"I..Uhh---Well, a support for him? H-Help making things and fixing gadgets for him?" She managed to stumble out.
Despite him scaring her, she wouldn't tell him of her secret, about her magical dust.
Damian then rested his chin on his hand once more, his eyes glinting with interest.
"What kind of gadgets?" He picked up a coin and threw it into the air, playing with a pristine gold coin.
"Like mending broken things of sorts?" She mumbled but he catched on.
He hummed thoughtfully, "So, you're a Tinker Fairy?"
She nodded her head, opting to stay silent.
His chair suddenly made a screeching sound as he stood up suddenly, making her slightly stumble backwards in her place.
He walked away then came back swiftly, with a pocket watch and mechanical box she had never seen before.
He placed it in front of her cage, close enough for her to touch and inspect, but unable to fully have the freedom because she's still behind bars.
He first opened the clock and as she tried to inspect it from afar.
"The dial and gears need more oil, I think some screws are loose, which is why the time is running slower.." She mumbled out.
He was impressed at such skilled observation.
The watch was running a bit slower than the other he had.
She was skilled in tinkering indeed.
Adrien hid such a treasure.
Damian then opened the box and there appeared a girl, it seemed to be a fairy statue too behind a mirror.
She admired the box, it was very ornately detailed, it must be something very precious.
"It's a music box. The box is supposed to produce sound and the girl is supposed to twirl.." He explained as he stared at the box and the static statue of the girl.
"Let's test out your skills." He mused out loud.
She tilted her head, "I'm interested but I can't fix it when it's beyond my reach. The bars are hindering my movement."
He made an 'O' shape with his mouth as his hand rubbed his temples in thought.
"I'll open the latch but if you try to escape again, I might do something worse. Your call." He gave her an eerie smile.
He opened his drawer to pick up a tool box, then he placed it beside the music box.
The materials and tools are complete. What's left is putting it inside the cage.
As soon as he opened the cage, this time she used her best speed past the opened latch and head for the door.
She hadn't even reached a mere inch away from the desk when she was painfully grabbed by the wings.
Damian let out a huge sigh in disappointment, and tutted at her, "Called it."
As he tightened his grips on her wings.
As she yelped in pain.
"Is it better if I crush your wings? So that you are unable to escape?" He mused out loud.
She actually flinched and shook in fear.
Wings are everything for a fairy.
If it's ruined...
She doesn't know what will happen.
"D----Please! I b-beg of you, don't!" She went limp against his hold, instead of trying to flap her wings away.
"I---I'm sorry, I wouldn't try to e-escape anymore! Not my w-wings!" She pleaded.
As he looked at her in his eye level.
His eyes drank at her figure in detail.
She was trembling yet, her expression..It's fascinating..
She's mesmerizing...
At first glance you aren't able to see her full beauty from afar.
She has dark blue hair and light sky blue eyes. Fair skin, rosy cheeks and lips. Small button nose.
Her dress was a beautiful light blue petal, and seemed to be made of a flower paired with pointy blue shoes.
Her outfit compliments her eyes.
She looks otherworldly.
Now he can understand why Adrien kept his fairy close by.
She's a beauty and actually skilled.
An intelligent girl.
The fact that this fairy is willing to risk everything, including herself, to go back to Adrien, that wonder boy.
She's very loyal.
His heart squeezed.
He didn't know what but somehow he finds it troublesome.
He wanted her attention.
He's envious.
Why can't she treat him like Adrien?
He gave her luxurious food.
Even the materials and tools if she wanted it.
In fact, if she doesn't escape, he's willing to give everything she wants.
He'd do anything for her.
If she would just stay with him instead of that pesky boy.
He wouldn't leave her alone and would protect her from any harm.
He'd kill anyone from touching or harming her.
That boy had left this amazing girl to fend off herself from him.
Leaving her to be captured by him.
Such a fool.
Not being able to see such a treasure.
This girl is wonderful, beyond words.
Nothing can compare to her at all.
She's everything.
He isn't willing to let her go.
He'd hold her forever.
He's hooked with her.
It was fortunate that Adrien had given him the girl.
His eyes gleamed unnaturally, perhaps it was obsession or is it possession? Regardless, the only image is her reflection in his pupils.
As his emerald green orbs bore into her very soul.
