Chapter Text
Crunch, Crunch, Crunch
Orion trudged through the snowstorm, freezing and shaking, exhaustion hitting him more than this snow. Only if Kai was here- Orion would shake the thought away and continue on. He was making his way through the Never-Realm, the realms merging always felt like an inconvenience to Orion because the drastic change in environments connected right by each other was getting more and more ridiculous in his book.
He hadn't seen anyone around so far since he first got to the Never-Realm, did he know where he was before? Not a clue but this place he knew from his Mama's stories gave him a slight amount of comfort, but he still had that feeling of despair of his stomach as Orion had no clue how far this Realm was from Ninjago
Orion's thoughts would get interrupted as he noticed the snowstorm was finally clearing up, thank goodness though, he only had his sage colored Gi that he had fixed up himself, so it was a bit oversized on him but at least that was helping him stay a bit warm but the worry of frostbite was a thought that was taking over most of his other worries, including hunger and the need for water
Orion would continue to walk through the snow until he heard a howl in the distance, snapping his head towards the direction. His father told him stories about the Never-Realm, about the people he met but Orion had no clue if those people were still here nor where to find them. The ache inside his body was feeling worse and worse by the moment
Crunch, Crunch, Crunch
Orion would snap his head around so fast it made his neck throb, he swore he heard walking coming towards him so why wasn't someone there? He could feel the panic starting to bubble up inside his throat and chest. Orion would quickly look around him just to get startled by a white wolf right in his face, making him stumble back a fall down right on his wrist. The shoot of pain going right through his whole arm, making him have to hold back a choked sob, he could tell it wasn't broken but it was definitely sprained at the very least and it was worse that it was his right hand as well. Orion would quickly look up at the white wolf as it tilted its head at him. Causing him to quietly gulp in fear. He was dead, wasn't he? He felt like his own great grandfather, the First Spinjitzu Master had truly forsakened him with a horrible fate, how could he, he was the man's great nephew technically after all, not that he could ever meet the man anyway
Orion would tightly shut his eyes in fear only for a moment to pass and... nothing? Orion would open his eyes again to watch as the wolf would change into a taller slightly tanned women with black below the shoulder lengthened hair and three red sort of stripes on either cheek. She'd tilt her head at Orion, making Orion flinch nervously
"Lloyd?" The wolf, women lady said, confusing Orion more than anything cause why was this lady calling him by his- his Gi was mask on because it was cold and his Gi was sage, a slightly darker sage of green, great, just great. Orion would quietly sigh, pulling his mask off and looking at the lady, trying to hide his slight annoyance, watching her face go through all sorts of confusion and taking a step back. Orion couldn't help but waver his attention between her and his wrist cause FUCK was it throbbing in pain, how could a sprain cause this much pain anyways, but Orion couldn't think about that
"My names Orion... Lloyd... Lloyd's my dad" Orion could croak out, his voice felt all different; hoarse, raw, scratchy and deeper which startled himself a little, when was the last time he had talked out loud actually? Whatever, it didn't matter right now as the lady was inspecting his face with an odd intensity that was making him more nervous and awkward then before, maybe meeting another wasn't the best idea anymore....
"My name is Akita, I met your father when he first came here, he helped me and my people but why are you here" Akita would question, her gaze narrowed at Orion. Orion would perk up, Akita... Akita... that name, he knew that name but couldn't remember at the moment so he shrugged it off, trying to get to his feet but struggling so Akita would help him up
"Your hurt and freezing colder that an ice cube, here, I'll help you get to some warmth" Akita would quickly declare, Orion, too exhausted and cold at this point just let her guide him slowly to her village, leaning against her. Maybe, maybe this wasn't actually half bad after all
