Chapter Text
Fire
Bodies everywhere.
Blood was everywhere, pouring from whatever wounds they have, some of it from others.
It’s precisely why he didn’t want others to join in. It’s why he didn’t tell anyone of it. Not until they kept pushing did he fold. And yet, he only told important parts of them. Of what to be aware of, how they fight, and what to be careful for. Not everything, and he knew they knew. Yet, they didn’t push anymore.
They gave it all, and yet, it wasn’t enough. His city was burning, his classmates were dead, their families wondering where they are and will be worried, heartbroken. Makochi will be devastated after losing them.
And it was all his fault. If he never got attached, close to them, they would’ve been alive. If he was a better officer, the city wouldn’t have been taken over. If he wasn’t so selish, none of this would have happen.

If it works, he’ll fix it. He’ll stay away from Sakura, Nirei, Kiryu, his classmates, Furin, everyone in Makochi, and stay in Bankoku-kai. Focus and do what he was meant to do, trained to do. And then, maybe—hopefully, he’ll leave a better Bankoku-gai for his brothers to take care of. A lighter burden job when he dies retire.
And then maybe, that’ll be enough to rectify his mistake.
Waking up for the day, he felt as if something was different that day. Ever since he woke up the air was, weighted. He did all his morning routine and made his journey to his new school, Bofurin high. He heard of a newcomer and his heroic save before the older students joined in.
Sakura Haruka
He stopped walking and clutched his chest. It was as if something hit him front on. He brushed it off. Not poison—he only drank tea that morning—and he didn’t even fought at all that morning.
Getting on the train, he relaxed on his seat as the two hour ride commenced.
