The Ash family was known in public as the family that runs one of the biggest technology companies in the world, but for those who lives and works in The Underworld, the Ash family is known to be one of the two most powerful mafias there, and the family called themselves The Invisible Mafia.
The head of the family, Ashswagg and his wife, Squiddo along with their four sons, Flamefrags, Wemmbu, Spoke and Parrot has been with the mafia for years, for Ash himself? Decades. Their signature is except the family members, all mafia members have their identity kept hidden in The Underworld, no one ever figured out who their identity were and until they were killed, it will be kept hidden.
And the other mafia? They call themselves The Law, leading by one powerful man himself, LettuceK. Leading alongside his two most trusted bodyguards, Loppezz and DeputyAce, they have the most amount of people within their mafia, even out number The Invisible Mafia but that doesn't mean they're the most powerful as in the rivalries between the two mafias, Ash's always won, they never lost once.
But this story doesn't involve around the mafias, yeah half of it, it involves around one of Ash's son, Parrot, or fully goes by ParrotX2. The odd one out of Ash family.
While the other sons, Flame, Wemmbu and Spoke takes after both Ash and Squiddo in either in appearances or personalities, Parrot was different, very much different from everyone else in his family.
Ash and Squiddo observes their sons since birth, and they realized that while three of their older sons took interested in fighting, hacking and the mafia, Parrot as the youngest was only interested in books, all the types of books but mostly medical books. That's when Ash saw something, he saw his father, the former mafia leader.
Parrot took all the similarities from Ash's father.
The rest of the family agrees that maybe Parrot shouldn't get involves in their business in The Underworld or the mafia. They will give Parrot proper education on whatever aspects he wants to choose in the future and a peaceful life in the Overworld. But maybe that's also the reason why Parrot can't really connect with this family.
Since a child, Parrot saw how distant his family was with him compared to his older brothers. Every time Parrot asks to join in on whatever they're planning to do, Ash simply tells him that he's too young and tells him to go and play with Ferre, Ash's second in command. And that wasn't just once or twice, it was like that for so long that when Parrot turns 6 and begins going to school, he just accepted the fact that maybe he wasn't as loved as his other siblings and starts questioning himself if he is even their real child.
Parrot is definitely not a normal child, he is smart and so understanding that sometimes Ferre was taken aback by how much Parrot can read just from a situation or finding a solution. He will always be at the top of his class during his studies in Unstable International School, the school that mainly funds from Ash family's company, where Parrot's older brothers also attending as secondary graders.
It was the results day after a final exam week, and the result papers was handed out to the parents. Of course, Ash and Squiddo doesn't expected much from their three oldest sons, but when they saw Parrot's paper, they were flabbergasted.
"Full marks?! On everything?!" Everyone exclaims.
Squiddo quickly drags Parrot out of his room and declare that they will have a picnic that day to celebrate. Of course, this was the first time for Parrot, and he was actually very excited and happy that he got to spend time with his family after so long.
But that excitement didn't last long, when they all have the things ready down on the grass and begin to eat, Ash got a call and told everyone else they need to go now. He told Parrot to stay and enjoy the food with Ferre and Clown as everyone quickly left in a hurry.
"Parrot- I'm sorry, they must have very urgent works that they need to go-"
"It's fine, uncle Ferre." Parrot sighs and lower his head, staring at the jam bread in his hands.
"Parrot, I'm sure they will join you next time." Clown tries to comfort the little macaw, but Parrot just shakes his head.
"I doubt it, but it's fine. At least I still have you two with me."
Parrot made and hand his two uncles the jam breads as they eat in that comforting silence, glad that at least he isn't alone.
Parrot thought that maybe today would be a normal day at school for him and nothing bad is going to happen.
"Why you-! You cocky bird!"
But at last, he was wrong.
His two classmates, Derapchu, a bunny hybird and Theo, a cockatiel hybird are now on their daily fighting again after stopping for 2 days. It usually shouldn't be a problem since their injuries weren't that bad and a few bandages already solve it. But when Theo punch Derapchu too hard and made him land his head into the sharp edges of the lockers, the other kids start screaming because Derapchu's injuries got serious.
Before anyone could call the adults or do anything, Parrot quickly take his med kit out and runs over to Derapchu.
"Derapchu, don't close your eyes, stay awake for me a bit. Do not sleep, please."
As he skilfully bandages the bunny's head and stop the bleeding, their homeroom teacher, miss JumperWho arrived at the scene and gasp at the sight. Parrot slowly get Derapchu on his legs for Jumper to bring him to the school's clinic immediately. As the rest of the class stare at the two leaving, Parrot turns to look at Theo slumping against the corner of the class, sobbing.
"Hey..." Parrot called out.
"Hic...! I- I didn't mean to do that to him... I'm sorry... hic..."
"Theo, the one you should sorry right now is Derapchu. And until he's awake, get yourself together first."
Parrot offers him his hand as Theo stares at it for a long while then stares at Parrot's eyes, his black eyes are so beautiful but they look so sad. Theo wipes away his tears and takes Parrot hand as the macaw helps him up and pat his back.
"Derapchu will be alright, so don't blame yourself too much, alright?"
"Mhm... T- Thank you."
After class ends, Parrot and Theo went to the clinic to check on Derapchu and for Theo to deliver an apology. Parrot slowly pushes the clinic's door open and quietly greets miss Fymada, the school nurse then gestures Theo to come in behind him.
"Hello miss, we came to see Derapchu?" Parrot asks.
"Ah, of course, he's awake in the next room."
The two birds quietly enter the room and see Derapchu already sitting up, still with a heavy bandaged head.
"Hey, Derapchu." Parrot greets the bunny.
"Parrot! And... Theo."
Derapchu and Theo stare at each other for a long while.
"Derap... I'm sorry, I'm really sorry for what I did today to you. I just hope you recover soon and... I- I hope you can forgive me."
"I... I shouldn't have made you angry too, sorry for that."
Both of them look at each other and crack a small giggle before getting interrupted by another set of footsteps.
"Alright, glad you guys made up. Now, I'll need you both to the office for further matters." Miss Jumper announced, both Theo and Derapchu has that 'we're fucked' on their face.
As Parrot silently follows them out of the resting room, he was stopped by miss Fymada as she asks him to sit down for a bit because she has some questions she wanted to ask.
"Yes, is something's wrong, miss?"
"Oh no, don't worry you're not in trouble. I just want to ask where did you learn to stop the bleeding and bandaging from consider you're just a third grader at that." Fymada watches Parrot, the top-grade kid of the school in awe as he fidgets in his seat.
"From medical books in my father's office. I just read them a lot and get to know how to do things." Parrot confesses.
"Ah, I see. Do you want any sweets? Here! Choose what you want."
Fymada show Parrot the sweets basket that is full of chocolate, which Parrot is, unfortunately, allergic to.
"Oh, sorry miss. I'm allergic to chocolate, so I'll pass, thank you."
"Oh? It's alright, I'll prepare something different for you when I see you again then!"
She pats Parrot's head as he bows, then he quickly leaves the clinic the go home for the day.
"I should tell boss about his allergy, should be careful with that."
Most of The Invisible Mafia high ranking members work in Unstable International as a public identity, for gathering information and to see potential recruitments for the mafia. And one more important task, is to look after the three sons of the leader, while the members can out right watch or go up to them and talk, for Parrot, they were ordered to do everything secretly and refer not being too direct to him because Parrot will get suspicious immediately.
He's smart, sometimes, too smart for his own safety.
As Parrot walks back to his house, it's not like the family doesn't have many expensive vehicles and private drivers, it just to Parrot's nature that he wants to walk instead. Of course, Ash orders a few guards to watch Parrot to keep him safe at all times, that's how Parrot was allowed to walk home in the first place.
When he walks pass by a dark alley way, he suddenly smells blood and hears weak whimpers deep in there. Even though he's on high alert, he still decided to check what's in that alley way. He has no idea if it's someone, or many people or something way worse, but to his surprise, he sees two caracal cats.
He quickly notices the injuries on their body and lowers himself down to prevent scaring the cats away.
"Hey there."
And to his guesses, the cats start growling and backing away from seeing him.
"Hey, hey, it's alright, I mean no harm. I just want to check you guys' injuries..."
As he tries to inch closer, the cat with red fur shields the pink one and scratches at Parrot, leaving bleeding mark.
"Ouch... Alright, alright, I'll keep sitting here till you guys trust me then, I really want to treat your wounds..." Parrot pout and sat himself down on the ground a bit away from the furballs.
After a while, the pink cat cautiously walks towards Parrot in tiny steps even with the red cat try to stop it. The pink one lays down in front of Parrot and shows him it's injuries.
"Oh my... You're gonna be alright soon."
He gently pets the cat then takes his med kit out of the school bag and start slowly disinfecting the wound spot before applying some medicine then bandage it up. He also checks for other minor injuries and quickly applies medicine for those too.
"There, you're all good now." The cat meows at him and went to lay in Parrot's lap.
"How about you... come here too?"
The pink cat also gestures it to come too, and finally, the red cat finally starts coming closer, slow cautious steps. It stares at Parrot for a long while before laying down for him to treat its wounds.
Parrot didn't know how long he had been there to treat the caracals, but when he was giving them some water to drink after finishing bandaging them up, he got a call from Ash asking why he hasn't home yet.
"Yes father, I'll be back soon." Then he hungs up.
"Sorry guys, gotta go home now, father's calling me."
He lifts the pink cat down from his lap and gave them both some quick pets before waving goodbye, exiting the alley and runs home.
“The youngest child of Ash’s… I guess you’re right about him being different, Loppezz.”
The red cat, LettuceK, looks at his second in command laying on the small blanket that Parrot gave, licking her fur.
“Eh, told ya. I really like his eyes, I was getting hypnotized for a sec there.” Loppezz meows at Lettuce playfully.
“As far as we know, he isn’t a part of his family’s mafia. I mean, he doesn’t know anyone in The Underworld it seems.”
“Lettuce, how about we stole him for a few days, the Ashes won’t bother anyways, hehe.” Loppezz swings her tail in excitement.
“Loppezz, he’s 8! For craft sake.” Lettuce use his paw to hit her on the head.
“Alright fine… where’s Ace? Shouldn’t he dealt with those Invisibles already?”
The moment Loppezz mentioned Ace, he jumps down from a building next to them in the alleyway.
“Sorry guys, a bit late here. C’mon now.” Ace said as Loppezz and Lettuce jumps into his arms.
“Ace, wait! Take the blanket, I like it.” Loppezz purrs into Ace’s arms.
“Oh you’re serious…” Lettuce deadpanned look at Loppezz.
“Whattt? It smells good and soft.”
Quickly getting the blanket for Loppezz, Ace swiftly jumps out of the alleyway and head back to their Underworld base.
"Mother, father, where are brothers?"
Squiddo kisses his forehead and sat him next to her.
"They'll be here soon, they're just having their extra classes with mr Wifies."
"Mr Wifies from the secondary building? Woa."
"You met him before, Parrot?" Ash asks and Parrot shakes his head.
"No, I only saw him teaching in class when I walk by the secondary halls, but I like the way he's teaching." Parrot explains, Ash and Squiddo looks at each other then looks back at Parrot.
"Well, then, do you want to get extra classes by mr Wifies too? Ah, alone of course, since your brothers study differ from you."
"Really? Yes, I really want to." Parrot smiles lightly.
Parrot rarely smiles, and he only smiles whenever he genuinely feels happy or really excited for something.
"Of course! You can actually start right after dinner, so eat up now." Squiddo gestures Parrot to quickly eat and return to his room.
When Parrot has already return to his room for a while, his three brothers and Wifies came downstairs.
"Gosh, that was so boring." Spoke exclaims.
"Yeah, I know right." Wemmbu wrap his hand around Spoke and drags him downstairs to the dinner table.
"I have no words for my brothers, sorry Wifies." Flame sighs.
"It's alright, sir Flame."
As everyone come to the table and settle down on their seats, the servants brought out their dinner and they began to eat.
Whenever Wifies is over to teach Flame, Wemmbu and Spoke, he would also join the Ash family in dinner as it has always been a normal thing for him ever since he came to teach the young masters when they were small. And during these days in the week, Parrot would have to eat alone and return to his room before his brothers finished class.
"Wifies." Ash called out.
"Yes, sir?"
"Parrot wants extra classes from you."
Spoke and Wemmbu spit out their food in shock while Flame just simply says a word, "damn" then goes back to eating his meal.
"What?! For real?!" Wemmbu stands up and stares at his father then stares at his mother.
"My best prayers to the little bird." Spoke clasp his hands together and start praying.
"Oh children, don't be so worried! Parrot will only study simple subjects from school, not what you guys learn." Squiddo adjust the crown on Wemmbu's head then gestures him to sit down.
Flame gives Spoke a bonk on the head.
"Eat your dinner." Spoke pouts but continues to eat anyways.
"Yes, that can do, sir." Wifies replied to Ash request.
"Alright then. After dinner, visits Parrot's room, he should be expecting you." With that, Wifies nodded and continues his meal.
"Don't be too harsh on our little bird alright, Wifies?" Flame said.
"Yeah! Give him some moments to breathe, not like how you treat us!" Spoke glare at Wifies with his fiery white eyes.
"If I hear Parrot complaining the next day, I'm not going easy on you in the next PvP class, you hear me!" Wemmbu also glares at Wifies.
Wifies simply look at them with judgement and clearly only nods at Flame's words, leaving Wemmbu and Spoke getting angrier.
"Sigh, these kids." Ash massages his poor head, Squiddo only giggles at the sight.
As Parrot was drawing his art homework that miss Jumper gave out to the class, he heard soft knockings on his bedroom door.
"Young master Parrot? It's me, Wifies."
Parrot quickly gets off his chair and runs to door to open it.
"Hello, mr Wifies." Parrot looks up and smiles at the tall adult in front of him.
This might not be the first time Parrot has seen Wifies, so he wasn't too surprised with how Wifies looks. But to Wifies, this is his first time properly seeing the youngest son of Ash's family, in real life and not through a picture.
And of course, the young macaw leave Wifies froze up. Wifies must admit it, Parrot is a very pretty macaw bird, those black irises and vibrant feather colours could catch anyone's attention immediately.
"Mr Wifies?" Wifies snapped out of it.
"Ah, sorry, I was thinking of something. Please excuse me."
Wifies steps inside and Parrot closed the door, he quickly runs to get an extra chair for Wifies at his study table and gestures him to come over.
"Thank you for coming to teach me, mr Wifies!"
"It is my pleasure, young master Parrot. How long would you like your class to last?"
"As long as it fits your schedule, I'm fine with it."
The answer left Wifies speechless, no one ever said that to him or even care to consider his time at all. Wifies wants to test Parrot a bit.
"Then, how about 30 minutes."
"Yeah, I'm good with it!"
"15 minutes?"
"Mhm!"
"Even 5 minutes?"
"Mr Wifies, even if you only come to give me a clue on how to solve a math question then that's fine too." Parrot smiles at him, the bird admired Wifies from the moment he saw posters and articles about Wifies at school.
Wifies saw the genuine look in Parrot's eyes and smiles at the boy.
"I was just testing you, young master. I need to at least teach you a proper amount of time or your father will ki-"
"Yeah?" Parrot looks at Wifies.
"I mean- I mean your father will be very upset with me!" Wifies pats Parrot's head.
"So, what should we start from?" Wifies asks and Parrot takes out some math books from his bag.
"Miss Jumper gave me some new equations to solve but I'm stuck at this one onwards."
"Right, let me take a look?"
Wifies read through the notebook and start questioning if the child in front of him is third grade or eight grade.
"Young master-"
"Please just call me Parrot."
"Alright, Parrot, did you ask Jumper to give you this or she did it on her own?" Wifies asks in a serious tone.
"I asked her to! Because I complain about the math lessons in class are kinda boring and easy."
"I see..." Wifies was speechless again.
He has been told that Parrot, as the youngest child, was pretty intelligent and Wifies himself has seen the primary classes score boards and took a bit of interest in this top-grade student, he must admit. Though this is much more than he expected, a primary student doing equations level of his brothers', that's very much impressive.
"Okay, Parrot. So, here's how you do this..."
When the clock hits 8:45 pm, that's also when Parrot manages to finish all the work he wanted to do with the help of Wifies.
"I finished everything! Thank you Wifies!"
"Mhm, good job Parrot." Wifies ruffles Parrot's green hair while he smiles at Wifies.
"Oh right, I still have the art homework."
"Hm? What's the homework about?"
"Miss Jumper asked us to draw our family or close ones or just anything we like! So, I'm drawing a bunch of people in here, I'll add you in too!"
Wifies smiles and take a look at the drawing. He sees Ash and Squiddo, Parrot and his brothers, Flame, Wemmbu and Spoke, Ash's two second in command, Ferre and Clown, his two classmates, Theo and Derapchu, himself being drawn right now and...
"Two cats?" Wifies pointed at the two cats next to Parrot's legs.
"Yeah! I found them earlier in the alley way with a bunch of injuries, so I stopped by to bandaged them up. They were very cute."
A red cat and a pink cat. Why does it give Wifies such a familiar feeling, like he knows them somewhere.
"Oh, and I think they're caracal cats too. I used to read through their species a year ago."
"Oh god." Wifies exclaims silently.
"Huh? What's wrong, Wifies?"
"No, no. It's nothing you should worry about. Anyways, it's time for me to go back now, it's getting late. Good night, Parrot."
"Aw, alright. Good night, Wifies!" Parrot waves at Wifies and he waves back before he exited the room.
"I wonder if the cats are doing good." Parrot sighs.
Wifies walks down to the mansion's basement where the family's meeting room is located, upon seeing that the meeting has not started yet, he walks to the seat next to Clown and sit down.
"Well, that's new that you decided to join us today." Clown said sarcastically to Wifies.
"I only intended to share what I got heard from Parrot."
That's when everyone has their eyes on him.
"It seems like Parrot has met Lettuce and Loppezz in their cat form on his way home earlier this afternoon."
"What?!" Flame, Wemmbu and Spoke shout at the same time.
"They clearly know who he is. Did they do anything to him?" Ferre asks as Wifies shakes his head.
"Just a light scratch on his hand when he tried to bandage them."
Everyone sighs.
"Can't blame my son for doing that."
"It's in his nature, Ash." Clown said.
Parrot will help people in need, the people in this meeting room knows, he isn't like them.
"I'll give that cat a warning later. Let us proceed the meeting." Ash announces.
Parrot is currently sitting in class, writing down something in his notebook when the bell rings to announce recess time and next to him, Theo groans loudly.
"Bro, what's up with you?" Parrot asked without taking his eyes off of the notebook.
"Yeah, you have been groaning since we came to class earlier." Derap gets off of his seat and come to stand in the middle of Parrot and Theo, putting his hand on the cockatiel shoulder.
"Dude, it just... My brother, he will be going to this school from today and start studying at the secondary building." Theo explains and hug his head.
"Then what's about it? It seems normal to me." Derap shrugs.
"Yeah, same, I don't see anything bad about it." Parrot finally close his notebook and look at his friends.
"No! No, it just, it's complicated. And I also don't want to meet him during school hours." Theo groans again, slumping onto his desk.
Derapchu and Parrot looks at each and shrugs. They're if not then very interested in knowing who Theo's big brother is and they don't have to wait for long before knockings at the classroom back door caught their attention as the trio turns around to see who it is.
"Oh, so my baby bird Theo studies in this class, huh."
Derap open his mouth in shock then turns to Parrot, making a 'holy shit' face while Parrot is still confused about the situation.
"Bro, Theo, who is that-" Before Parrot can finish his sentence, Theo shout loudly.
"Billy go away! Leave me and my friends alone, bro!"
