"That's what all malfunctioning miners do! Mess up the system in place!" the right said.
"Espeically this little screw up, Oreo Pox!" The left ranted.
"Orion Pax," the little bot behind him muttered, quietly correcting the shuttle, and causing Megatronus a spark attack.
Of course...Of course that paint job just couldn't have been a coincidence. Primus hated him, that was the only conclusion, and Megatronus couldn't even blame the god. Clearly this wasn't his cybertron, not even his cybertron's past, so of course there would be different versions of those he had befriended, and fought all those eons. His Orion Pax, was never a miner as these shuttles implied, but...if this was a second chance? Well, be it a punishment or blessing, Megatronus wasn't going to let these shuttles take this young version of his brother away again.

Soundwave's banishment to the shadowzone has been bleak, uneventful and unending. He hasn't been able to contact Megatron or the Nemesis. He's low on fuel. If it weren't for the emotion-suppressing protocols he implemented before the war, he would be miserable.
And then one day a dimension-hopping Rodimus falls into the shadowzone and offers him a way out.

This was inspired by two works, but it only lets me add one to the link. I liked the one this fic directly references events from. They're The Crushing Weight of Failure by MagicalStardust and Fear and Failure by mothweave. Both are excellent and you should read them.
