Chapter Text

Pure Vanilla's friends heard shouts coming from his room. They had come to check on him because he hadn't shown up for the meeting.

A lot had happened before; they had all noticed that Pure Vanilla was more withdrawn, wanting to leave and be alone. They were very worried, but seeing that his weight hadn't decreased, they weren't too concerned.

When they opened the door, they saw their friend sitting on the floor, holding a baby in his arms... A baby?!

The group approached him, trying to talk, but it was Golden Cheese who spoke first.

"What is it, Pure Vanilla..."

There was a long wait before Pure Vanilla spoke. "I don't want to talk about it..."

"Is it yours?" Hollyberry continued.

Pure Vanilla nodded.

"Come with us, you can explain..." White Lily spoke, lifting Pure Vanilla with Hollyberry's help.

Once they arrived at the meeting room, they placed Pure Vanilla on a chair and did the same.

"So... Who is the mother?" Dar Cacao asked.

"I don't want to answer that..." Pure Vanilla muttered.

"Vanilla, you have to answer our questions!" Golden Cheese exclaimed, his wings flapping in annoyance.

Pure Vanilla said nothing, but the baby began to cry. The others watched Pure Vanilla try to soothe the baby.

"Shh... It's okay... I'm here..." Pure Vanilla whispered to her child.

The baby calmed down, and Pure Vanilla continued to gaze at the baby.

"Pure Vanilla," White Lily began.

He lifted his head.

"Does he have a name?"

Pure Vanilla lowered his head.

"Her name is Vanilla Pie..."

___

★★★★★★ ★★★★ ran through the grass, Pure Vanilla behind him. ★★★★★★ hid behind a tree, looking to see if the cookie was there. He started to leave, but Pure Vanilla jumped on him, and they ended up on the ground, on the grass.

The wind blew, and the two cookies watched each other. One took the lead and kissed the other, while the one below stroked the other's long hair.

They stayed like that for a moment, their tongues clashing, their lips sealed together, hands, a little too curious, touching their bodies. They stopped, trying to catch their breath.

"Vanilla... We should go home..."

"Why, darling? We're having such a good time~" A hand started to slide a little too low.

"Not here!"

"There's no one here... Even you said my villagers were early birds."

"Fine." He sighed.

"Thank you ★★★★ ★★★★!"

They began kissing again, but this time their hands seemed less hesitant.

...A hand here~

~A hand there...

~Hands everywhere~

The wind blew gently, the leaves rustled softly. The cooing of a bird could be heard. The moon watched over the kingdom. The village was still. And the two lovebirds enjoyed the evening.

___

After this discovery, Pure Vanilla's friends stayed a little longer to help her. Although it was difficult to get Vanilla's usual smile back, they succeeded after two months of effort.

The little girl grew slowly but surely. She looked remarkably like her father; it was harder to see her mother in her. Vanilla Pie had the same skin tone and the same hair color, but her hair was short, very short indeed, and her eyes were yellow and blue.

Eight years later, she had become a pretty little girl, very fearless and curious. She had a lot of fun, even with the simplest things. She also loved spending time with the sheep; it was one of her favorite activities with her father. But sometimes she also liked to go to the village, see the markets, and the food available. Sometimes Pure Vanilla would buy her ice cream, and Vanilla Pie would enjoy it.

She also loved sweets, and Pure Vanilla would buy them for her, but not too many; she needed to eat a balanced diet too.

But sometimes, after Pure Vanilla had a long day and couldn't see his daughter, he would often buy her a slice of honey cake.

___

★★★★★★ ★★★★ was sitting on the windowsill, watching the sun set, waiting for his lover.

The village was already beginning to fade, little by little. Birds flew off into the distance. And leaves began to fall. It was autumn.

★★★★★★ had stayed inside, as he had a terrible stomach ache.

Clouds gathered; it was going to rain soon. He hoped his lover wouldn't get caught in the rain.

The door began to creak. He turned and saw Pure Vanilla. He smiled, threw himself at him, and hugged him.

"Hello, darling~" he smiled.

"Hello, Vanilla!"

"Are you feeling better?"

"Not too much..." He lowered his head.

"Poor you... But I brought you some cake!"

"Really?!" He looked him in the eyes and smiled.

"Of course." He smiled back.

They settled in the corner where ★★★★★★ had sat down a few minutes ago. Pure Vanilla took the cake out of the small box and gave her sweetheart a spoon. He took it and began to eat a piece, then another, and another.

"Do you like it?" Pure Vanilla asked.

"I think it's one of my favorites of everything I've ever tasted!" He continued chewing.

"Oh?" He tilted his head and smiled.

"Yes!"

"Then I should have some more...

...Honey cake..."

___

He had an alert; Pure Vanilla had to leave. His other half had appeared. He got his daughter to safety, telling her not to go.

He left, and the girl waited a little, a little too long, and then joined her father outside.

When she arrived, she found him under a large stone on the ground.

"Hello, Daddy." She tilted her head.

"Vanilla Pie... You have to leave."

"But..."

"Leave!"

Vanilla Pie jumped and ran away. She walked along the avenues around the castle and spotted a blue cookie. She approached quietly, and the cookie noticed her.

"Oh~ what are you doing, little cookie?" The blue cookie leaned toward the girl.

"Wow! You're beautiful!"

"Beautiful?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Yes! Beautiful! I've never seen a cookie like you!"

"Oh..." He laughed.

"And you have the same mark, but on your eye!" She moved her bangs to the side and revealed a brown mark with three spikes.

"Hmmm... I see."

"Isn't that incredible?!"

"It's true... Hey, little one!" An ice cream conjured up in her hand. "Want some?"

"Wow! You're so good at magic! Thank you!" She took the ice cream. "Daddy only lets me use healing magic..." She looked intently at the ice cream.

"I see..."

"Hey... Could you help my dad? He's stuck."

Ah! "Sorry, sweetheart, I only grant one wish per person, otherwise my magic will weaken."

She looked at the mirror and returned it to him, which shocked him. "It's okay, I don't care about the mirror... So, could you help him?"

"Well... If you want..."

They walked side by side.

"What's your name?"

"Sorry, but..." He trailed off. "I'm tired of my asking questions, I've been bothered by it way too much!" He made a dramatic gesture.

"So, I'll ask you a question, and you ask me one in return?"

"What's the connection?"

"That'll be fair." She looked him straight in the eyes.

"If you want..."

"What's your name?"

"Call me Shadow Milk!" He laughed.

"That's cool!"

"And what about you?" "What's your name?"

"Vanilla Pie!"

"That's... cute..."

"Thanks!"

"..." He looked away and continued walking.

"Can you hold my hand?"

He turned around and looked at Vanilla Pie. "What do you mean?"

"You're going too fast." She grumbled.

"Okay..." He sighed and took her hand.

"Thanks!" She smiled.
