[Emmrich]
The bells of the Grand Necropolis chime a softer tune today,
Gone is the frantic tolling of a world in disarray.
The dawn has climbed the marble spires, a victor pale and bright,
But it is the golden hour that now claims my weary sight.
Do you see how the amber spills across the venerated stone?
A vintage light for a peace I thought I’d never live to own.
I have studied the departure, the transition, and the bone,
Yet I never knew the warmth of home until your heart was known.
[Rook]
I remember the quiet of the Memorial Gardens, the scent of ancient dust,
Where you placed the Shroud’s Kiss in my hand—a symbol of your trust.
It was a cold gift, they might say, a token of the grave,
But to me, it was the anchor in the storm I had to brave.
Now the war is but an echo, a shadow cast behind,
And the only ghosts that haunt me are the moments we entwined.
The sky is honey-thick and still, the world is hushed and new,
And every breath I take is sweet, because I wake with you.
[Emmrich]
My dear, the vows we whispered where the silent monarchs sleep,
Are secrets that the Fade itself shall be honored just to keep.
"Eternal" is a heavy word, a weight for souls to bear,
Yet when I look upon you in this gilded, morning air,
It feels as light as spirit-mist, as certain as the tide.
Death is but a curtain, and I am on the other side—
With you, my heart, my bravest spark, my life’s most grand design,
Vow for vow and soul for soul, forever tangled, mine.
[Rook]
You’ve spent your life in service to the ones who’ve passed away,
But let the living sunlight touch your silvered hair today.
My devotion isn't written on a scroll or ancient wall,
It’s in the way I catch your gaze, the way I hear your call.
From the heights of the Lighthouse to the depths of Nevarra’s grace,
There is no corner of this world as sacred as your face.
The golden hour lingers, as if the sun refuses to depart,
Holding us in amber, beats the rhythm of one heart.
[Emmrich & Rook]
Beyond the veil, beyond the strife, beyond the reach of time,
This love remains the only truth, the reason, and the rhyme.
The dawn was for the battle, but the gold is for the rest—
Two souls bound in the quiet, in the way they love the best.
