Prince of two realms

Summary:

What if Adam's mother was not from Earth?

What if she wasn't human?

What if she was a princess in a place called Thundera in another world?

Adam has to worlds to call home and two worlds to save. Not alone, of course.

Notes:

I watched the He-Man movie a few days before writing this and I'm currently watching the Thundercats 2011 series. I've seen both original series for the shows as a child thanks to my dad and Thundercats seriously needs a reboot. I don't remember everything from the original He-man series so the Adam here is a mixture of the movie and my personal ideas.

Thundercats 2011 also deserves better.

Chapter 1: A prince of Thundera

Chapter Text

Adam and his mother ran towards castle Grey Skull where the Sword Of Power and the Sorceress were. He didn't know if his father survived or died from buying time to escape.

"Send him to my world. He will be safe there," Queen Purrlena, his mother, said to the Sorceress. A portal was opened up and Adam was given the magical sword. "Please, my son, if you can, search for King Claudus and tell him Purrlena sent you here. Don't lose the Sword, Adam. It's your only way back. Be safe."

Just as she finished speaking Skeletor and his minions charged into the castle. Quickly, his mother charged roaring for battle only to get knocked into a pillar with a blast of magic.

"Mom!," Adam shouted.

"Go, Adam! I'll hold them off!," the Sorceress shouted. As Adam went into the portal he swore he saw the Sorceress turn into a hawk. The portal threw him around and around-

-

"And I lost grip on the sword during my time in the portal, it fell to who knows where, and I landed on top of my uncle during my cousin's first attendance at a meeting. Well, technically he was just shadowing but-"

"Yeah, yeah. Cool story, kid. Just pay up will you?," the vendor said.

Adam huffed and handed the man a coin. He snuck out the palace to get art supplies. Why? Because asking the palace guards feels weird, OKAY. Besides, it gives him the opportunity to meet new people and tell his story in hopes that someday somebody somewhere knows about his long lost sword.

Adam gasped and ran towards the palace. Today, was the day his cousin, Lion-O will do the Secrete Right Of Passage or whatever it's called. He took of his cloak and ran pass the guards. He made it to the throne room just seconds after Lion-O ran in.

"Ah, nice of you two to finally join us," Tygra said.

Claudus sighed and said," Lion-O, stop setting a bad example for your cousin."

Lion-O replied," he went out on his own accord!"

"Meow," Adam said looking away. Tygra seemed to be holding his laughter in.

"The moment has passed. Jaga, let us begin this Secrete Right Of Passage," Claudus said.

Jaga, the head cleric, called for the Sword Of Omens and it was brought in by a group of clerics. As the ritual continued on Adam looked at the art supplies he bought. For the last five years, he's been drawing everything he remembered. There was no way he'd ever let himself forget his true home. Eternia.

"Adam."

Adam let out a yelp. Tygra was next to him.

"Yeah? Do you need something, Tygra?," he asked the tiger.

Tygra replied," the ceremony is over you've just been staring out the window. It's concerning."

"I was just daydreaming. I'm sure you have other things to worry about," Adam said.

Tygra rolled his eyes and said," well, just don't get caught doing that during important events again. Father might be lenient about it, but the rest of the court might not take it very well."

Adam nodded.

-

"Ugh, I made myself look stupid today," Lion-O said as he face planted into his pillow. Adam was on the bedroom balcony painting.

He looked at Lion-O and loudly asked," today?! I thought you were an expert at that!"

Lion-O looked up from his pillow and said," maybe it's time for you to finally get your own room."

Snarf looked up from Adam's bed looking concerned. Adam just chuckled and replied," y'know you would miss me."

When Adam had first arrived in this world, King Claudus had him room with Lion-O. He didn't want his little sister's child to feel scared. The crown prince was twelve years old at the time and seemed very much against it at first.

"When I'm king, we're not sleeping in the same room. You can keep this one," Lion-O said.

Adam replied," yeah, whatever. Wanna see my new painting?"
Lion-O was right beside him in seconds.
"It's a battle bot. We used these for fighting and they aren't powered by anyone, but themselves if built correctly."

The crown prince's eyes lit up. "Woah, so cool. I really hope we find your sword so you can take meto see those things," he said.

"Once we find my sword I'll definitely let you," Adam said.

I'm sorry if this chapter seems rushed. I'll try to flesh it out more as the fic goes on.
