The day was bright and happy. Rui and Tsukasa were holding hands as they walked in the park.
"I love you, Rui!" Tsukasa beamed up brightly as his boyfriend. "More than I love anything else!"
"I love you more, my star." Rui pulled Tsukasa closer. "You are my star. Brighter than the ones that are in the sky." His smile widened. "Fun fact, did you know that there are more stars than grains of sand?"
"I didn't know that! Amazing fact!" Tsukasa did know that. But he liked seeing Rui happy to share his random facts.
"They should name a star after you. Maybe change the name of the sun itself."
Tsukasa was about to respond, when a small cat appeared in front of them.
"Meow." It pawed at Rui's ankle, and began to walk.
"I think it wants us to follow it," Rui said. He followed the cat, pulling Tsukasa along with him.
The cat lead them into a nearby alleyway. It sat down in front of a door, and pawed at it. Not noticing how sketchy this entire situation seemed, Rui opened the door, ignoring Tsukasa's protests.
Once inside the building, the cat looked up at the two boys. "Listen up!" The cat spoke, its voice one that would usually be seen on an accountant. "This might be sudden, but-"
"THAT CAT IS TALKING!!!" Tsukasa jumped back. "...THAT'S SO COOL!"
Rui scooped the cat into his arms. "Oh...this is amazing! Imagine how big this will be in the science field!"
The cat scratched at Rui's wrists. "Let me down! I'm here to tell you something important!"
Rui reluctantly put the cat down. "You two are Rui Kamishiro and Tsukasa Tenma, correct?" The cat asked. "My name is Luna."
Tsukasa was barely paying attention, too focused on how adorable Luna was. He wanted to pat her head, and give her belly rubs, and feed her tuna or whatever else cats liked.
Luna nodded her head, and on the ground, two watches appeared. "You two are the legendary heros, Star Pegasus and Star Robot!"
Rui picked up the watch. "Can I press the button?"
"No. You must wait until a monster appears."
"THERE'S GOING TO BE MONSTERS?!?!?!" Tsukasa yelled. "They won't look like bugs, right? Right...?"
Luna sat down. "They might."
"IN THAT CASE I DON'T WANT TO BE A HERO!"
Luna paused for a moment. "...I can sense one. Too late to back down now."
A giant spider burst through the door. Instead of legs, it had vines, and a body made from those, and roses.
Luna took a step back. "Now! Use your watches for a transformation!"
Rui and Tsukasa pressed their buttons at the same time.
Tsukasa's outfit was transformed into a blue suit, and a giant red cape attached to his suit jacket. The bowtie had a small star symbol on it. A mask similar to a phantom thief, colored red, appeared on his face, and in his hair were two wing shaped clips. "I am...Star Pegasus!"
Rui's outfit turned into a gray, metallic suit. A pair of transparent goggles on his face. His boots came to just above his knee, and a pair of headphones appeared on his face. "And I am Star Robot!"
The spider jumped at Tsukasa. He screamed, and Luna facepalmed...or facepawed. "Use your fire magic?"
"I have fire magic?!" In an attempt to use this magic, Tsukasa snapped his fingers, striking a cool pose. A fireball shot at the spider monster.
It should have burned the spider, but it managed to dodge. And Tsukasa's aim wasn't very good.
"I guess that means I can do something too!" Rui snapped his fingers, and instead of fire, a gun appeared in his hands. He shot a few bullets at the spider, but similar to his boyfriend, his aim wasn't good, so the spider lived.
The spider shot out vines at the two magical boys and Luna. The three barely managed to get out of the way in time.
"Try to combine your powers!" Luna shouted as she landed on the ground.
Rui and Tsukasa nodded, already knowing what to do. Tsukasa got a fireball ready, and Rui aimed his gun.
"FLAMING BULLET CANON!"
The bullet and fire combined, into an even bigger fireball. It hit the spider, completely burning it into ashes, and disappeared before it burnt down the entire building.
Luna looked quite pleased. "You two killed your first monster, congratulations! But there will be more. And they'll only get more powerful."
Rui grabbed Tsukasa's hand. "And we'll defeat them all! Together, Star Pegasus!"
"Together indeed, Star Robot!"
And then they kissed.
