Work Text:
Jihoon was quietly studying his book of potions in his shop when Mingyu was carrying a large box of ingredients and was going to trip over a stool.
“Mingyu, watch out!” Jihoon called out.
Unfortunately Mingyu did not see the stool and stumbled onto it. The box flew in the air but was caught by Seokmin and Chan.
Both sighed in relief as they lowered the box on a table.
Seokmin extended a hand to Mingyu to help him up from the ground. Mingyu took it and thanked him as he pulled himself up.
“I definitely need to watch where I am going.” Mingyu said as he checked the contents in the box were okay.
“No kidding, these ingredients are important, I am just glad Seokmin and Chan caught them in time.” Jihoon shook his head.
“What are you making this time?” Chan asked, looking through the box.
“Hansol has asked me to make him a love potion.” Jihoon replied as he took out some ingredients.
“A love potion?” Mingyu repeated. “Why a love potion?”
Jihoon sighed. “He begged me to make him one, he wants to use it to help him confess to Seungkwan.”
“But we all know Seungkwan is in love with him.” Chan's eyebrows furrowed.
“Try telling him that, he is the only one that can’t see that.” Jihoon said, exasperated.
Grabbing the ingredients he placed them in a bowl and mixed them together following his potions book. Once it was done he poured it into a round flask and placed the cap on. Labeling it Love Potion. He placed it near the shelf where he had other potions he had made.
The rest busied themselves as they were going to have a get together with all their friends in the afternoon. Hansol was going to come later for the potion.
Jihoon, Seokmin, Mingyu and Chan were cleaning up and ready to go home to get ready for their get together.
“Hey Jihoon, is it ready?” Hansol walked in. He greeted the others.
“Uh yeah it's by the shelf over there.” Jihoon responded as he was doing inventory.
Hansol went over to the shelf and perused until he found it. He grabbed it and thanked Jihoon.
Mingyu was passing by the shelf when he noticed the bottle that Jihoon had concocted for the love potion was still on the shelf. His eyebrows furrowed as he picked up the bottle. “I thought Hansol was going to take the Love Potion?”
The others turned to him.
Jihoon approached him. “He already took it.”
“Did you make two? because this is the bottle you made earlier.” Mingyu said as he confirmed the label was correct.
Jihoon took it reading the label. It was indeed the bottle he made earlier.
If the bottle was here then what did Hansol take?
Jihoon looked through all the potions he had on the shelf and realized which one was missing.
“Oh no.” he ran a hand through his hair.
“Oh no, what do you mean oh no?” Seokmin asked, worried.
“He did take a love potion but the one he took was called the Crazy in Love potion.” Jihoon explained.
“Crazy in Love potion?” Chan asked. “What does it do exactly?”
Jihoon winced. “Exactly what you think it does. It makes the person act crazy over the person they are in love with.”
“Why would you make a potion like that?” Seokmin scolded him.
“I was challenging myself. It's very difficult to make but I succeeded.” Jihoon said smugly.
“Okay congratulations, but now Hansol is going to go crazy over Seugkwan and is going to scare him if he drinks it and that is the opposite of what he wants to do.” Chan said exasperated.
They all looked at each other silently.
“Oh, we better go stop him.” Mingyu declared.
They all scrambled and left Jihoon’s shop hoping to prevent chaos from ensuing.
At Jun’s house he was putting up the last of the decorations on the wall with the assistance of Minghao.
“Alright, how does it look?” Jun stepped back to admire his work.
Minghao nodded “It looks good.”
“This coming from you is a compliment.” Jun smiled.
Hansol was already in the kitchen pouring himself a cup of punch. He hadn’t told anyone else of his plan to confess his feelings to Seungkwan.
Then there was a knock on the door. Jun went to open it.
“Hey, you guys are here early.” Jun said as he stepped back to let them in.
“Actually we need to talk to Hansol for a second then we will be back ready for the party.” Jihoon said as he walked in the rest following him.
“He is in the kitchen.” Minghao pointed to the direction of the kitchen.
They all quickly walked in that direction.
Minghao and Jun were left confused.
“Hansol don’t!” Chan screamed as he saw what Hansol was doing.
Hansol was startled and dropped the potion in the punch. He stepped back a bit as the punch splattered on the table.
“What are you guys doing here so early?” Hansol asked as he cleaned up the spill.
“Please tell me you didn't drink the potion yet.” Jihoon looked at him hoping that he didn’t.
“I just did. Actually, I was trying to put the top back on when Chan startled me.” Hansol said. “Now, it's in the punch bowl.”
Jihoon grabbed Hansol's shoulders. “Listen, you took the wrong potion. The one you just drank will make you very possessive and crazy once you lay your eyes on Seungkwan.”
“What!?” Hansol’s voice cracked. “Why would you have a potion like that?”
“That’s what I said.” Seokmin said as he looked at Jihoon.
“Now is not the time for the blame game.” Jihoon snapped back. “What we need is to get you out of here before Seungkwan comes.”
He started to pull Hansol towards the door when there was a knock on the door. Three voices greeted Jun. It was Jeonghan, Joshua and Seungkwan.
“Oh no, Seungkwan is here.” Mingyu said, his voice high pitched.
“What do we do?” Chan started to panic.
At that moment Hansol froze, staring directly at Seungkwan. Jihoon noticed cursing in his head.
Hansol approached Seungkwan, smiling softly. “Hey, Seungkwan.”
“Oh hey, Hansol.” Seungkwan blushed a little, trying to smooth his hair down.
Seokmin was expecting possessive behavior but Hansol was just talking to Seungkwan. “Maybe you didn’t do the potion correctly?”
Jihoon shook his head. “I followed the recipe, there is no way it shouldn’t be working.”
Then Seungkwan diverted his attention to the others and Hansol stared them down. Jun tried to lead Seungkwan to the table and placed a hand on his back. Hansol grabbed Jun’s wrist roughly. “Don’t touch him.”
Jun’s eyes widened. “Oh sorry I um…are you okay?” He was starting to get scared from the stare down he was getting from him.
“Hansol, is everything alright?” Seungkwan looked back.
Hansol's demeanor changed and he smiled sweetly at him. “Everything is great Kwannie. Let’s eat. I'm hungry.” He led him to the table. He pulled out his chair and waited for him to sit.
Jeonghan sat on the other side of Seungkwan and Joshua sat across and they started chatting with him, Hansol looked at them as if he was deciding whether he should attack them.
Jeonghan noticed. “Hansol, are you really okay?”
Hansol didn’t say anything, he just kept staring him down.
Seungkwan looked back at him and Hansol stopped staring at Jeonghan and his face softened when he met his eyes.
Jihoon hummed. “Now I understand, so he is acting possessive. He is just calmer about it. He doesn’t like it when others talk to him or touch him. Interesting, I thought he would act crazy.”
“Jihoon, that doesn't help us figure out a way to stop this.” Chan pointed out. “How do we get Hansol away from Seungkwan without bringing attention to ourselves?”
At that moment Minghao and Jun emerged from the kitchen with cups of punch in hand. Minghao downed the cup. “This punch is really good. You should try it, Jun”.
The blood drained out of Jihoon, Seokmin, Mingyu, and Chan’s faces.
Mingyu reached for Jun to stop him from drinking the punch. “No don’t.”
Jun eyebrows furrowed. “What is going on with everyone grabbing me? First Hansol, now you.” He pulled back to make Mingyu loosen his grip. “Mingyu, let me go.”
Mingyu snatched the cup. “Sorry you can’t drink that.”
Then
“Let. Him. Go.” Minghao grabbed Mingyu’s wrist and pried his hand off of Jun.
Everyone froze.
Then Jun was pulled backward into the kitchen and Minghao got in front of him protectively.
“Minghao, what are you doing?” Jun asked.
He didn’t answer, he stared at the others daring them to get close to see what would happen.
They carefully followed them into the kitchen. Mingyu set the cup down on the counter.
“Hey woah easy there Minghao.” Seokmin had his hands out in front of him like trying to keep a cornered animal calm. “Jun is all yours, no one is going to touch him.”
“Guys, what is happening?” Jun asked them.
There was silence.
“It’s all Jihoon’s fault.” Mingyu blurted.
Jihoon gasped. “My fault?” as he pointed to himself.
“Yes, your fault if you hadn’t made that potion Hansol would’ve taken the correct one.” Seokmin countered.
Jihoon was about to argue back when Jun cut in “What are you guys talking about?”
He tried to walk around Minghao but he blocked him.
Jihoon explained the situation about the mixed up love potions.
“Sorry Jun but he’s not going to let you out of his sight.” Jihoon explained.
“Alright, I need my potions book. In the meantime don’t let anyone drink any punch.” Jihoon told the others as he headed towards the door.
There was a knock at the door. Jihoon since he was on his way out opened it. He was greeted by Seungcheol, Soonyoung and Wonwoo.
“I’ll be right back.” Jihoon swept past them.
The trio looked back and watched him leave then headed inside.
Seokmin, Mingyu and Chan tried to wrangle Minghao and Jun into Jun’s room.
“Stay in here until Jihoon comes back.” Seokmin said.
“What am I supposed to do?” Jun asked, exasperated as Minghao was pulling him away from them.
“Don’t you like him? This is a good thing now you know how he feels.” Seokmin closed the door.
Jun stood there realizing dawning on him. Minghao was being possessive, from a crazy love potion and the love potion only worked when the person who drank it saw the person they were in love with.
Jun swallowed thickly as Minghao was staring right at him with love in his eyes. He cradled his face then hugged him. Jun hugged back, melting into it. Jun let go but Minghao didn’t. He reached back to get Minghao to loosen his grip.
“You’re mine.” Minghao growled in Mandarin Chinese and held tighter.
Outside Seokmin, Mingyu and Chan headed for the kitchen to throw the punch down the sink. When they walked in Joshua was about to drink the punch.
Chan slapped it away.
The cup clattered to the floor spilling the punch on the ground.
“Hey, that punch was really good. It was my second cup.” Joshua whined as he grabbed napkins to help clean it up.
“Second cup?” Mingyu repeated. “Oh no.”
Seokmin bent down to help clean up the punch. Mingyu pushed him out of Joshua’s line of sight, wiping the floor clean.
He gave Mingyu a dirty look as he tried to get up confused on why he was pushed when he was pushed to the ground again, this time by Chan. He also gave him a dirty look.
“Why do you guys keep pushing me?” he asked, annoyed.
“Seokmin?” Joshua titled his head as recognized his voice.
“No!” Mingyu yelled, he spun Joshua around to avoid him from looking at him. “He’s not here right now.”
Then Jeonghan walked in and his eyebrows knitted together. “Seokmin, what are you doing on the ground?”
“That’s what I like to know?” he said as he got up.
Joshua looked past Mingyu and spotted him. He quickly rushed to him. “Are you okay? Are you hurt?” He scowled at Mingyu then Chan. “How could you push him?”
Chan and Mingyu looked at each other and braced themselves.
Joshua got up in their faces. “If you ever lay a finger on My Seokmin again I will end you. Got it?”
“Yes, hyung,” they said in unison. “Sorry hyung.”
Joshua retreated back to Seokmin, his face softening as he looked at him with a sweet smile.
Seokmin looked back at Mingyu and Chan, his face full of shock.
Joshua grabbed his face. “Look at me, don’t look at them.” as he pouted.
Seokmin froze, his Joshua hyung was looking at him with eyes of love.
Jeonghan raised an eyebrow “I came for more punch. Why is Joshua finally bold enough to talk to Seokmin like that?”
“No reason,” Chan replied quickly.
“Wait, more punch?” Mingyu realized. “Please tell me you haven’t had any.”
“I haven’t actually, I came here because Joshua was going to bring some for me and Seungkwan after Seungcheol, Soonyoung and Wonwoo said it was good. I came to check what was taking so long.”
“Seungcheol, Soonyoung and Wonwoo drank some?” Chan repeated his voice high pitched. “Okay this is bad.” as he ran a hand through his hair.
“What’s going on?” Jeonghan asked.
“Nothing.” Seokmin, Mingyu and Chan said in unison.
“Everything is fine.” Mingyu smiled big then he pushed Jeonghan out of the kitchen.
“Hey, don’t push me, I am older than you.” Jeonghan said as he turned to face Mingyu, arms crossed. “You guys are going to explain to me what is going on right now.”
Mingyu and Chan exchanged a look.
“Sorry Jeonghan hyung, no time to explain.” Mingyu replied. “I am sorry for this too.”
Jeonghan looked at Mingyu with confusion then he got picked up by him.
“Hey, put me down.” he failed in Mingy’s arms. “You’re going to regret this.”
Mingyu headed for the hallway to get him away from Seungcheol, but his voice rang out behind him and made him freeze.
“What are you doing with, Jeonghan?” Seungcheol asked calmly.
Mingyu didn’t dare turn around. He quickly let go of Jeonghan and stood behind him as a shield.
“Oh thanks Seungcheol, I don’t what’s gotten into him-”
Jeonghan got interrupted as Seungcheol inched closer and picked him up off the ground, carrying him bridal style.
“Don’t touch him ever again.”
“Yes sorry it won’t happen again.” Mingyu said, voice trembling as he closed his eyes expecting to get hit.
Then someone got in front of him.
“Don’t talk to him like that.”
It was Wonwoo.
He turned to face Mingyu and held his face. His voice softened. “You’re safe now, I won’t let anyone hurt you.”
Mingyu cheeks heated up.
Jeonghan, still being carried, was still confused about what was going on. Seungcheol walked into the hallway and opened the first door on the right. It was Jun’s room.
When the door swung open Jun shouted. “Help! He won’t let me get off the bed!”
Minghao was straddling Jun on the bed. Jun pushed on his shoulders to get him off of him but he was gripping his shirt with a vice-like grip.
Seungcheol and Jeonghan took in the sight.
“Jun, what is going on?” Jeonghan tried to get out of Seungcheol’s hold but he didn’t let him.
“A crazy love potion. That is what is making him act this way. Jihoon should be back soon with a way to reverse it.” He braced himself as Minghao was able to pin Jun's arms to the side.
Minghao leaned down and peppered him with kisses all over his face. Jun wasn’t used to so much affection, especially not from him.
“Put me down.” Jeonghan demanded and Seungcheol obeyed.
He set him down but when Jeonghan tried to go towards Jun to help him, arms wrapped around his waist. Seuncheol pulled him flush, burying his nose in his neck.
“You smell really good.” he hummed.
Jeonghan giggled. “Stop, that tickles.” He tried to pry his hands off of him. “No seriously, let go.”
Seungcheol gripped harder then bit his shoulder lightly.
Chan stood at the doorway observing everything. When he looked back to Mingyu, Wonwoo had him pinned against the wall. Mingyu was scared not because he didn’t like this, Wonwoo was never this bold.
Wonwoo caressed Mingyu's cheeks looking at him like he hung the moon.
Chan didn’t know what to do. “Where is Jihoon? Things are getting out of hand.”
Then Soonyoung walked into the hallway. “There’s something wrong with Hansol.” he pointed behind him towards the table. “He keeps staring at Seungkwan intensely like more than usual and when I try to talk to Seungkwan he stares me down like I am going to take him away.”
Soonyoung then noticed half of his friends acting strange.
Seokmin walked out of the kitchen with Joshua right behind him, arms wrapped around his waist tightly. “Is Jihoon here yet?”
“What is going on?” Soonyoung asked.
At that moment Jihoon burst in through the door. “Sorry I took so long, this love potion antidote has two steps to break the spell.” He took out the antidote out of his bag. “All we have to do is get Hansol to drink this and Seungkwan just has to kiss him. Easy, right?”
Then Jihoon felt arms wrapped around his waist. It was Soonyoung.
“Jihoonie.” He hummed in his ear.
Jihoon was startled; he almost dropped the antidote. He realized the chaos in front of him.
His friends were acting possessive, more than usual.
“I thought I told you to throw away the punch!”
“We were going to,” Chan winced. “But then things got out of control.”
Jihoon sighed trying to stay calm and not react as Soonyoung started kissing his neck. He didn’t know whether to push him away or pull him closer.
“Soonyoung,” Jihoon said weakly. He needed to do something fast before Soonyoung got more affectionate.
He quickly lifted the antidote to his lips and poured it into his mouth and turned to face Soonyoung.
Then he crashed their lips together. He dipped Soonyoung so the antidote would fall into his mouth.
Soonyoung made a face as he drank it. Then Jihoon pulled him in and kissed him again.
They pulled apart, Soonyoung’s eyes were wide. His hand flew to his lips. “W-what just happened?”
Jihoon red in face, cleared his throat. “I gave you an antidote to undo a potion.”
“A potion? What kind of potion?” Soonyoung asked, still processing the kiss.
“A Crazy in Love potion.” Jihoon winced.
“Is that why they are acting weird?” Soonyoung pointed to the others.
“Yes,” Chan answered. “I am glad it worked, now we can get everyone acting normal again.”
Chan grabbed the antidote from Jihoon and was going to hand it to Seokmin as he was the closest, but when Seokmin reached out to grab it, Joshua’s hand shot out and pulled his hand towards him.
Seokmin and Chan looked at each other confused. Seokmin tried to reach out with his other hand. Joshua did the same thing.
Joshua held Seokmin’s hands glaring at Chan.
“Okay, this isn’t going to be easy.” Chan muttered as he sighed.
Seokmin grabbed Joshua’s face gently while he was still holding onto his hands. “Joshua, I need to get something from him.”
“You don’t need anything else but me.” Joshua shot back.
Everyone was shocked by that response. Joshua was always so kind and gentle.
Seokmin tried again. “I asked him to bring a gift…because it is for you.”
“A gift for me.” Joshua said softly.
“Yes,” he lied. It wasn’t a complete lie, it was for him.
Joshua looked over at Chan and what he had in his hand. “I don’t want anyone near you.”
Jihoon, getting impatient with Joshua’s jealousy, told Chan to set it down on the ground.
He did and they backed away.
Seokmin walked closer to the antidote and bent down to grab it with Joshua clinging onto him. He held out the bottle to him.
Joshua took it, inspecting it. He looked at Seokmin. “What is it?”
“You drink it. Just take a sip.” Seokmin said.
Joshua brought it to his lips. He made a face. “That tastes horrible.”
“This will make up for it.” Seokmin tilted Joshua's chin up and planted his lips on top of his.
Joshua melted into it.
As they broke apart, Joshua realized what they were doing. “Did we just…?”
Then he noticed some of their friends looking at them.
“This is not some kind of prank is it?”
“No, no it was…a love potion.” Seokmin said. “You drank the antidote and now you're back to normal.”
Joshua covered his face. “I didn't do anything stupid did I? No wait, don't tell me I don’t wanna know.”
Seokmin laughed softly as he hugged him.
“Okay another down, just four more to go.” Chan sighed.
They all turned to look at Wonwoo who was now sliding his hands under Mingyu's shirt.
Mingyu tried to stop him. “What are you doing?”
Wonwoo met his gaze, eyes dark. “Mine.”
“Uh guys a little help here?”
They knew they needed to hand Mingyu the antidote but how? Wonwoo was not good at sharing.
Mingyu tried to see if he could get the antidote but as soon as he tried to move away from the wall. Wonwoo pushed him back and pinned him there.
The others looked at each other, sharing worried glances.
Joshua, who had the antidote, took one step closer and Wonwoo glared at him. Daring him to get close.
With Wonwoo focusing on Joshua, Mingyu tried to lunge for the antidote but Wonwoo was faster. He took it from Joshua.
He was about to throw it on the ground when Mingyu caught his wrist.
He snatched it and grabbed Wonwoo’s jaw and forced him to open his mouth, tilting the bottle letting the liquid into his mouth.
Wonwoo was about to spit it out when Mingyu placed his hand over his mouth. As soon as he saw he swallowed it he removed his hand.
“Sorry but it's for your own good.”
Wonwoo's face was scrunched up. He was about to say something when Mingyu gently captured his lips with his own.
Breaking apart, Wonwoo's eyes fluttered open. He looked around confused as to why they were in the hallway. “Did I miss something?”
Mingyu rubbed the back of his neck nervously. “Kind of. It’s a long story that is still ongoing.”
He was about to explain it when Jeonghan yelled from Jun’s room.
Some of them entered the room while the others crowded the door.
“Can somebody please do something? As much as I enjoy being manhandled I think it is time for him to let me go.” Jeonghan was still fighting against Seungcheol’s iron grip as he nipped at his ear.
“Yes please I do not like being smothered this much.” Jun added as Minghao kept kissing his face and was moving to his neck.
Mingyu had the antidote so he handed it to Soonyoung who was closest, who then handed it to Chan, who then handed it to Seokmin, who handed it to Joshua which finally he handed it to Jihoon.
Jihoon sighed and rolled his eyes.
No one wanted to hand the antidote to either of them. Everyone knew they were very possessive and that was without the love potion.
“So how are we going to approach this?” Soonyoung asked as he stared at how hard Seungcheol was gripping Jeonghan.
“I don’t think we are going to be able to get him away long enough to drink it.” Mingyu pointed out.
“Cheollie please you’re hurting me.” He wasn’t really hurting him. He loosened his grip a little but Jeonghan wasn’t able to get away.
“Do we just tackle him?” Seokmin suggested. “If we pry his arms off and hold him down maybe Jeonghan can get him to drink it and kiss him.”
They had no other choice if they wanted Seungcheol back to himself again.
They went over the plan.
“Alright let’s do this before I back out.” Chan willed himself.
He gulped nervously then they all moved as one.
Mingyu tackled Seungcheol as gently as he could. They all fell in a heap. Wonwoo went behind to hold Seungcheol back as he tried to get back up. He had him in a head lock on the ground.
Seungcheol still didn’t let go of Jeonghan.
Seokmin and Joshua pried one arm while Soonyoung and Chan went for the other.
They struggled but eventually got him to loosen his grip enough for Jeonghan to slip out.
“No, Jeonghan is mine!” Seungcheol growled, fighting against their holds.
Jihoon handed the antidote and Jeonghan climbed on Seungcheol’s lap straddling him. Everyone let him go.
“I am right here, Cheollie.” Jeonghan whispered. “No one can take me away from you.”
Seungcheol gripped Jeonghan’s hips possessively.
“Drink this for me.”
Seungcheol grabbed the bottle and drank it.
Then Jeonghan grabbed his face and their lips met in a fierce kiss.
Seungcheol’s arms slid up Jeonghan’s sides and pulled him closer. He tilted his head deepening the kiss.
After a few more seconds everyone stared awkwardly as they were still kissing.
“Um guys, you can stop now.” Joshua tried to interrupt them.
They were still immersed in each other.
“Hey!” He yelled.
Seungcheol and Jeonghan broke apart, still dazed from the kiss.
“What was that?” Jihoon asked. “Because it should have been a one second kiss.”
They were both silent as their cheeks heated up.
But before they could answer Jun spoke out.
“Now can you guys help me?”
They all surrounded the bed.
Minghao froze and raised his head to glare at his friends.
“Okay Seokmin and Mingyu pry him off, on three. One…two…three.”
Seokmin and Mingyu each grabbed a shoulder and pulled.
Minghao clutched onto Jun’s shoulders. As Jun was pulled into a sitting position, Minghao wrapped his arms around his neck and his legs tightly around his waist.
“I knew he could be strong but I didn’t think this much.” Jun was taken aback by how hard he was holding onto him.
“I don’t think we're going to be able to pry him off you especially when you're on the bed.” Mingyu said.
“So what should I do?” Jun asked.
“I guess you have to do something similar to what Jihoon did. He put some in his mouth and had Soonyoung drink it that way and then kissed him.” Chan answered.
“Okay,” Jun held out his hand for the bottle Jeonghan handed it to him.
He brought the bottle to his lips then stopped. “Wait, do you guys have to watch?”
“Jun, it's us no one is going to say anything and we have to make sure Minghao gets back to himself again.” Jihoon assured him.
Jun took a deep breath. “Alright, here we go.” He poured it into his mouth, and tapped Minghao to get him to look at him.
He leaned in and Minghao's eyes widened and Jun took that chance to flip Minghao on his back.
As Minghao’s back hit the mattress he gasped and Jun placed his mouth on his to have him drink the antidote.
Minghao drank it reluctantly and Jun pulled back and then leaned in again kissing him sweetly.
As Minghao opened his eyes he realized they were on a bed and saw the others staring at them. He looked at Jun on top of him.
He covered his face. “Are we in your room? Did we just kiss and everyone was watching?” he asked in Mandarin Chinese
Jun laughed nervously. “Yes, but it's a funny story actually.”
“Do I even want to hear it?” Minghao's question was muffled by his hands.
“It would explain the situation we are in.”
“Okay now we just need to get Hansol back to normal and we will be good.” Chan said as he clapped his hands.
“Oh right, Hansol.” Jihoon gasped. “Do you think Seungkwan is okay?”
They scrambled to the dining table.
At the table Hansol had a small smile on his face and was quietly staring at Seungkwan as he rambled on about his morning. His hands moved quickly and dramatically as he told his story.
He reached for one of his hands and it caught Seungkwan off guard. Hansol slowly brought his hand to his lips and planted a kiss on the back of his palm.
Seungkwan’s cheeks flushed and stopped talking.
Hansol looked up and started kissing up his arm. His forearm, his upper arm, his shoulder.
Seungkwan’s breath caught. “Hansol,” was all he could manage to say.
Their faces were inches apart as they sat side by side.
The others barged into the dining room.
Hansol glared at them.
“Seungkwan, are you okay?” Chan asked him.
Seungkwan furrowed his eyebrows. “Why wouldn’t I be?” He looked at the others trailing behind him. "Did something happen?"
There was a beat of silence.
“Jihoon, do you want to take this one?” Chan looked to him for help.
Jihoon sighed. “Seungkwan, I need to listen to exactly what I need you to do?”
“Did something happen?” he repeated. "You're scaring me."
“Yes, and it's half my fault and half Hansol’s.”
“Hansol's?” Seungkwan turned to look at him and noticed the scowl on his face. “What did he do?”
Jihoon measured his words carefully. “Hansol is…he…drank a love potion. So right now he’s not in his right mind.”
“A love potion? What are you talking about?" Seungkwan looked around at the others, some were averting their eyes, others rubbing the back of their necks nervously.
“I need you to stay calm because in order to get him back to normal you’re going to have to kiss him.” Jihoon said.
Seungkwan stood up from his chair. “What!?”
When he did Hansol wrapped his arms protectively around him.
“You guys are messing with me aren’t you? You're just trying to embarrass me. Well it's not going to work.” Seungkwan tried to walk away but Hansol held him in place.
“Hansol let go of me, how could you let them put you up to this?” he froze when Hansol gripped tightened. He realized he wasn't letting him go and he wasn’t acting like himself.
Earlier he had grabbed Jun; he was never one to get physical.
Seungkwan let out a sigh of frustration as he closed his eyes. “Do I really need to kiss him?”
Jihoon nodded. “But before you do he needs to drink this antidote. Once he does, you can kiss him.”
Seungkwan reached out for the bottle.
With trembling hands Jihoon held it out.
Hansol’s hand shot out and grabbed Jihoon’s wrist.
Seungkwan gasped but quickly snatched the bottle out of Jihoon’s grasp before Hansol could.
“Wait, are you all going to be in here? Can’t you give us space?” Seungkwan huffed.
“If I can do it with everyone watching, so can you.” Jun said.
“You had to do it too? Is that why you guys left us alone?” Seungkwan was trying to delay the kiss.
“Seungkwan, just do it.” Chan said exasperated.
“Okay okay.”
“Hansollie,” Seungkwan said sweetly as he faced him. He was trembling. “Do you mind taste testing this for me?”
Hansol looked at the bottle. “Anything for you, Kwannie.”
Seungkwan blushed as Hansol’s hand brushed his as he grabbed the bottle. He took a sip and he closed his eyes and his nose scrunched.
“Alright, now what?” Hansol asked.
Seungkwan hesitated. “This.”
His hands trembled as he reached out with one hand to caress his cheek and pulled him down. Their lips brushed in a soft tender kiss.
When they pulled apart Hansol's eyes widened in surprise. “Woah.” He turned his head and spotted Jihoon. “Did the potion actually work?”
“Oh it worked alright.” Chan said flatly. “Never do that again.”
“Yes, just do things the normal way.” Mingyu added.
Hansol was confused. “Why, what happened?”
“Yes, I am still confused about what went on.” Wonwoo pointed out.
“I second that.” Minghao said.
“Same here.” Seungcheol piped up.
“To make things easier, how about we explain over dinner.” Jihoon suggested.
“Yes, great idea.” Soonyoung said as he rubbed his stomach. “I am starving. All I had was the punch and the antidote. Also a kiss from Jihoon but that’s not food.”
“Soonyoung.” Jihoon's cheeks flushed.
“What? It's true.” Soonyoung smirked.
“Just shut up.” Jihoon closed his eyes. There was no real heat behind it.
Soonyoung laughed.
“Uh Jun.” Seungcheol gave a knowing look.
Jun blinked. “Oh right this is my place.” He headed towards the kitchen but turned back before going through the door. “Go ahead and make your way to the dinner table. The food will be right out.”
As they walked towards the table. Joshua moved closer and his hand brushed Seokmin’s. He paused for a second to look back, Joshua had a shy smile on his face.
Seokmin intertwined their hands as they chose their seats.
Mingyu pulled out a chair for Wonwoo. When Wonwoo sat down he patted the seat next to him. Mingyu grinned as he seated himself.
Jihoon sat down opposite of them. Soonyoung sat next to him with a smile on his face. Chan sat next to Soonyoung.
Hansol chose his seat next to Chan and Seungkwan shyly sat down next to him.
Seungcheol and Jeonghan sat together next to Seokmin.
There were two seats left. One at the head of the table and the chair on the left side of the table.
Minghao took that seat.
A few minutes later Jun came with a huge tray of food.
Minghao stood up to help. As well as Mingyu and Wonwoo.
They helped pass the plates of delicious malatang Jun made.
After the first few bites Seungcheol brought up the topic. “Alright so what started this?”
Jihoon and Hansol looked at each other. Jihoon sighed and decided to explain first.
He went over how Hansol wanted help to confess to Seungkwan and thought a love potion would help him do it and that he agreed and made the potion.
Hansol chimed in saying that he grabbed the potion not knowing he misread the label and how he accidentally dropped it in the punch.
Mingyu, Seokmin and Chan took turns explaining how they failed to throw the punch away and how the others drank the punch not knowing the love potion was in it.
Jihoon finally explained how they reversed it which cleared up why they had to kiss or had been kissed.
“After all this I am just glad we got everyone back to themselves again.” Chan sighed in relief.
Seokmin nodded. “Yeah even though it was tricky we did it.”
“This was not how I expected things to go with seeing you guys again.” Jun laughed.
Hansol rubbed the back of his neck. “Sorry about that. I should have told you what I was doing when I got here with the punch.”
“It was really good. I’ll give you that.” Minghao added. “But seriously no more potion stuf.”
Hansol nodded. “I realize my mistake, I didn’t think it would affect the rest of you guys. From now on I’ll be brave about my feelings.” He looked at Seungkwan with a barely there smile.
Seungkwan returned the smile, cheeks pink.
Chan cleared his throat. “I think some of you should take that advice as well.” He stared at his friends with a knowing look. “Hopefully after this you can start a conversation instead of dancing around each other.”
The others looked awkwardly among themselves.
"Moving on," Chan continued. "I'll let you guys figure out your feelings. I just remembered we never threw out the punch."
"Oh right, we should go do that right now." Mingyu got up and so did Seokmin.
Jihoon followed as well to make sure they actually follow through this time.
They came back annoucing no more love potion punch.
Everyone quietly chatted as they finished up their dinner talking about everything and nothing as if everything was normal.
The party ended late and slowly everyone started leaving and thanked Jun on their way out. He thanked everyone for coming.
After the Crazy in Love potion situation it gave an oportunity to confess their feelings they had tried so hard to hide.
Jeonghan and Seungcheol were already dating they just hadn't told anyone yet.
Joshua and Seokmin decided to go on a few dates to get to know each other a little more. Each one was better than the last.
Mingyu and Wonwoo decided to go for it and became a couple as they were already roommates. They just needed the push.
Soonyoung and Jihoon were taking it slow and enjoying each other's company but knew deep down they were each other's soulmate. They had been basically unofficially dating.
Jun and Minghao had an awkward but necessary conversation but eventually put their embarassesment aside and went on a trip to China together as a week long date.
Hansol and Seungkwan finally sat down and confessed to each other and after a couple of dates they were official.
And Chan was happy that finally his hyungs were happy. He was waiting for his other half but until then he would support his hyungs and his hyungs would be there for him.
Who knew a love potion could do so much?
